Update: Police Apprehend Four Suspects in Death of Border Agent

Four suspects have been apprehended in connection with the Tuesday evening shooting death of a U.S. Border Patrol agent. The agent had been fatally wounded while trying to catch bandits who target illegal immigrants, the local news reports.

Agent Brian A. Terry, 40, was on patrol in southern Arizona when National Border Patrol Council President T.J. Bonner says he and three other agents engaged in a gun battle with the bandits. The FBI has been working to track down the suspects and currently have four in custody and are searching for a fifth.

“[Terry's death] is a stark reminder of the very real dangers our men and women on the front lines confront every day as they protect our communities and the American people,” Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Wednesday afternoon. Napolitano reportedly plans to be in Arizona on Thursday and Friday to meet with Border Patrol agents in Nogales and Tucson.

In addition, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer added though America “needed no reminder” of the increasing dangers along the nation’s southern border, “this tragedy serves as stark notice that the threats facing all who serve in protecting our state and nation are real…”

“This is a sign that the politicians and bureaucrats are overly optimistic in their assessment that the borders are more secure now than at any point in our history. It showed just the opposite,” Bonner said.

Prior to his service defending America’s southern border, Terry served in the military and as a police officer in Michigan.

    the only thing that should be said is how sorry i am for the lose of such an American hero. this man risk is life daily to protect the country he so loved. now that we have another great American boarder patrol officer to lose his life in the line of duty and the government continuing to say that there is no problem with boarder security i can only pray that the blood of any American life lost to an illegal alien will be put solely on Obamas hands and those people who only see a vote not an American life may god bless his family and be with them through this sad time and that they are taken care of .

    Anyone using pot, coke, heroin, meth have blood on their hands and are the cause of the border violence. Everyday the border remains unfenced increases the odds more CBP agents and US citizens,land owners will be harmed or killed by illegals and drug cartels. If fencing the border would make money for the powerfully corrupt it would be done tomorrow.     A two or three mile wide “no mans land” along the more remote parts of the border complete with fence, cameras and mine field will go a very long way to stopping this invasion. Video of some of these invaders being fragged will go viral over the web and will greatly slow the tide. We will have to endure the endless whining of the left, but what else is new.

Secondly, you are ignorant if not a imbicile. Go read the GS schedule for pay. Mr. Terry was a 3 year veteran with prior LEO and military service. He was, most likely, a GS-12, considering he was BORTAC. I can assure you he was making a far cry more than the 40K you stated. However, that means nothing. No money is worth death. He was doing the U.S. a great service which was a continuation of a life of service to the country. I seriously doubt you are anything but a self-loathing turd who has to troll boards such as this starting arguments in order to feel good about himself. Try doing something for somebody other than yourself sometime. Better yet, believe in something greater than yourself… judging by your comments finding something greater than yourself wouldn’t be too hard. Remeber, baby steps.

    There was a time in America when the criminals would be punished for their actions and the families of the victims received a sense of closure with justice served. I pray that these individuals are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and that provides some closure for the family, friends and community that knew and loved Agent Brian A. Terry. From all the reports I’ve read, he was a brave man, who was committed to protecting citizens.

    Note to Nappy – either do your job or take a hike!!! We need more border patrol agents and more drones protecting our border communities!!

    Arizona’s history is laden in Blood-Shed. From native Indians protecting their territory, Billy the kid, miners, Indian massacres, now the new Mexican war.

    Secure the border and enforce zero tolerance. Otherwise U.S. citizens should be permitted arm and protect themselves without fear of prosecution when engaged with undocumented people.

    We are not only protecting US citizens when we effectively monitor the border, we also protect illegal immigrants from employers who exploit them and bandits who rape and rob them.       Sinsta – you are right in that there is only one God, and He did create the Universe and everything in it. However your non-sensical impossible to define everything and nothing definition of Him shows you lack any understanding as to who He really is and what He has really done for us. However, as is evidenced by your heartless and cold comments, your heart is to cold and your mind too closed to be in a postition to receive greater light and knoweledge as to who He is. I will pray for you that you may be prepared at some point to learn the truth as to who God truly is and the difference between Christ and Lucifer (who are different people). And I didn’t choose my name, my parents did:) God bless you Sinsta, may you find some true happiness and the courage to show love and compassion at all times and to all people as God does towards you and I every day………….

      With all due respect to your twisted religion, AMMON, My God is intangible and invisible, and the only thing that is real, while this world is all based on illusion.

      We exist within his mind and are figments of his imagination. We are essentially holograms and everything is a hologram.

      You see, Ammon, this world is a 3 dimensional illusion created by a 2 dimensional plane, where all the information contained within this illusion is encoded onto the 2 dimensional plane, the same way that the volume of a black hole is not determined by its contents, but by its surface area. Your eyes and brain simply trick your mind into perceiving 3 dimensions.

      That information is constructively and destructively interfered in the form of electromagnetic radiation, and forms matter, the same way a black hole accretes matter and forms a singularity.

      We live inside of a giant black hole called a Gravastar.

      God Created the gravastar, because God is the Void, the Hole itself, the origin of spin, and the vortex.

      The Void was always here, and is everywhere and nowhere simultaneously.

      That’s what I worship, Nothing.

      They were both sons of the morning star. Only Satan rebelled against God and was thrust from heaven, leaving Christ as THE remaining son of the morning star. Its more obvious in earlier translations.
      And attacking is the wrong word. You posted vividly what you believe, I simply did the same with some clarifying questions and rebuttles. I apologise if you perceived them as attacks. My inquisitive nature gets me into trouble sometimes:) You are free to believe what you choose. Just out of curiosity, what is the origin of your belief or the source from which you acquired it?

      AMMON, The intangible, incorruptible God cannot be manifest as corruptible man.

      Jesus Christ and crucifix worship is idol worship, IMHO.

      The Virgin Mary is the Whore of Babylon, and the Church is the same thing, Circe, the Bride of Christ, which is the Whore of Babylon, Persephone, Columbia, Queen of the Damned, Ashtoreth, Ishtar, Isis, Nefertiti, and all those falsified gods that castrate the the masculine authority of the Almighty God.
