Update: Principal Pulls Bieber Song From Graduation Line-Up, Still Doesn‘t Reinstate ’God Bless the USA’

The Brooklyn, N.Y. principal who decided to pull “God Bless the USA” from a kindergarten graduation program while keeping a Justin Bieber tune has axed the tween heartthrob from the line-up — but not changed her mind on the Lee Greenwood classic.
P.S. 90 principal Greta Hawkins prompted outrage earlier this week after teachers said she scrapped “God Bless the USA” because she didn’t “want to offend other cultures.” A Department of Education spokeswoman said Hawkins was actually concerned the song’s lyrics were too inappropriate for 5-year-olds — yet Bieber’s “Baby” was considered acceptable.
But on Tuesday, the New York Post reported Hawkins has reversed course on including Bieber as well.
“The principal has decided she’s not going to sing that song. It’s the principal’s decision, and we support the principals,” New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg during a press conference.
Both Bloomberg and New York City Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott denied pressuring Hawkins to pull the song, insisting she had had a change of heart, according to the Post.
Greenwood has said he is offended by his song’s exclusion from the graduation program.
“I wrote ‘God Bless the USA’ about the love I have for this country and the struggle we have gone through to remain free,” Greenwood said through his public relations firm, according to the Hollywood Reporter.”
“Our country was founded on the principle that it welcomes people of all cultures and gives them the same rights we have as citizens. However, I feel compelled to echo the faith of our forefathers who all believed in God and a respect of a higher authority. Personally, denying the children of PS 90 to sing ‘God Bless the USA’ offends me as a Christian. My song is about hope, faith, spirit and pride. How could that be wrong on any level?” the statement said.

Hopefully enough parents would rebel, but it’s so hard to know where people stand now. I grew up with Bob Emery’s show, Big Brother, And the pledge. On my way home from work tonight I was listening on Hannity and he played part of Lee Greenwood’s song, God Bless the USA. Had goosebumps. Then he said he had them also. I work right next to the airport in Manchester NH. When Obama or his sidekick Biden show up it blocks everything. Can’t get home, can’t even take walk around parking lot. So paranoid something will happen to him. Airforce One and his huge back up places fill the end of the runway but police get us form walking up near the fence. And if driving, all exits from the MAll, shoe stores, tire store, gas station, are all barracaded off.
All I wanted to do was go home. 10 minute trip took over an hour.
Money, tax, wage wise you have already messed up my life. When you land here at the Manchester NH airport, just remember some of us who you are screwing over, no raise in 4 years, and then I can’t even get home even though you are hours away from landing or preferably leaving and all traffic is stopped. Give us a break. Never had my vote. NEVER WILL!!

I‘m willing to bet also that she got her job as principal strictly because she was black and that she more likely than not couldn’t even pass a high school GED test.
She certainly wouldn’t be a principal in China or Japan even if she could speak their language, because they award positions based STRICTLY on merit and ability to do the job.
In this country the politicians and academia are awarding AA entry, AA grading, and AA certification even in pharmacy and medical certification, and they’re going to be responsible for getting a lot of people killed because of the incompetents entering the professions.
Believe me…..I am not exaggerating!
