Update: Sources Say Paul Ryan Has Discussed 2012 Aspirations With Boehner

Sources Say That Ryan Has Discussed 2012 Aspirations With Boehner

Roll Call has communicated with a source that says Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan has discussed his possible entrance into the 2012 presidential race with House Speaker John Boehner.

“In fact, Ryan discussed the matter with Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) when the subject of whether he should be appointed to the bipartisan Joint Committee on Deficit Reduction arose, according to this source.”

The source however goes on to speculate that Ryan is still leaning to the side of holding off on running in 2012 for the strain the national campaign and fundraising requirements would put on time with his wife and young children, not his chances against other Republicans.

“Despite a new round of urging and conversations, nothing has changed,” the Wisconsin operative told Roll Call. “People continue to urge Paul Ryan to run — that group is growing, not shrinking. But I am unaware of anything changing his calculus or plan to do that.”

“He’s not intimidated by Rick Perry or anything,” the operative said.

The renewed focus in Ryan for president despite months of the congressman denying the notion came out of the blue with a Weekly Standard blog post yesterday:

“Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan is strongly considering a run for president. Ryan, who has been quietly meeting with political strategists to discuss a bid over the past three months, is on vacation in Colorado discussing a prospective run with his family.”

The theory gained steam when Ryan appeared on local radio with conservative talk show host Charlie Sykes. When asked if he was pleased with the GOP field and if the current candidates can articulate the big issues, Ryan responded: “We’ll see. I didn’t see it last night. I haven’t seen it to date. We’ll see. People’s campaigns evolve – they get better. So we’ll see.”

Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Speaker oBoehner, House Republican Study Committee Chairman Jim Jordan have all encouraged Ryan to run for president.

Just when I thought the Republicans couldn’t do anything more
stupid! Paul Ryan’s budget is totally TOXIC. He’ll be lucky to
keep his House seat. Unemployment is high for those 50+ and
they would NEVER vote for this arrogant tone deaf jerk. His budget will likely lose many seats, deservedly so.

He’s not ready to run. He’s a rookie. Perry has experience which is exactly what this country needs.
No more community organizers. Congress has not proven themselves very effective in resolving our economic problems. Perry has.

What are the establishment GOP afraid of ? Are they intimidated by Perry’s courage and willingness to do and say things theyve become too wimpy to say ?

I havent donated to these boobs in several years. I donated to Perry’s war chest.

Jeb Bush is the 1 trying to talk Ryan into running because the Bushes hate the Perry’s. The hatred between the 2 is well known here in Texas. Old man Bush was the 1st 1 to use the words 1 World Order in his speech.
Bush‘s are doing a Perot move to throw a wrench in the mix so Perry doesn’t get in cuz he is the opposite of both Obama& Bush’s

they may hate each other, but you cannot say they are opposites. Perry ran up debt and grew the government as governor of texas, he is for illegal immigration, texas is the only state in the country that allows illegals to go the college on the taxpayers dime.

Exactly how is that different than Bush,Obama, or Clinton?

Wait, you have it wrong. Possibly, Jeb is the only Bush that does not believe in OWO. Papa Bush and baby Bush are OWO believers. Perry is a Bilderberger OWO. He is a wolf in sheeps clothing. Perry has also done many land deals with China. Do your homework.

Jeb Bush would support Ryan. The Globalist are worried and need a candidate to control. Anyone the Bush team supports spells ONE WORLD ORDER. Perry is another Un Agenda 21 promoter. Google is a wonderful tool for information. Read his record.

I certainly admire Mr. Ryan, but I believe he would best serve us as a replacement for Geitner in the new administration. We have so many talented people running, it would be nice if they would all get together, pick a ticket with the most possibility to beat obummer and the rest of them can be appointed to positions in the administration so that things can get done quickly. I just can’t decide who needs to go first – Geitner or Holder……………
