Update: Teen Who Witnessed Beating of Marine, Wife Files Charges

After Afghan War soldier Frederico Freire and his wife Kalyn were beaten outside a Florida theater recently, the Marine probably never thought that his attackers would try and make him out to be the assailant. But, as it turn out, at least one of them is doing just that.
The local news site Bradenton.com reports that a 14-year-old girl who was part of the teen mob has filed battery charges against Frederico, saying he hit her during the fracas. But the girl’s story is fairly odd. According to the news site, she claims she was struck by an “unknown man” after closing her eyes. That‘s led the sheriff’s department to dismiss the charges based on a lack of evidence.
“At this point, it will be a closed case,” sheriff’s department spokesman Dave Bristow told the Bradenton Herald. “We talked to the girl and the stories are a little inconsistent. … The girl said her eyes were closed. It doesn’t add up. Someone may have bumped into her or something like that. We don’t have any evidence that someone came up and punched her.”
The department also noted that there was no bruising on the girl’s lip when she filed the complaint, and that she only now decided to come forward with the accusation.
As far as Frederico is concerned, the girl’s allegations are “completely false.”
“I just grabbed my wife with both arms and pulled her out of harm’s way,” he said. “If she wants to file false charges, she can bring it. There were plenty of witnesses.”
For now, he’s trying to spend as much time with his wife as possible before heading back to Afghanistan. But the national media attention is making that difficult.
“It’s becoming aggravating,” he said. “We’re just trying to enjoy what little time we have left.

TAKE THEM OUT IN PUBLIC AND SPANK THEIR TAILS OFF LIKE THEIR PARENTS APPARENTLY WEREN’T PARENTS ENOUGH TO DO. I believe that the public humiliation would do more to prevent more of this childhood thuggery than sending them to juvenile hall. Maybe even televise it.

The problem is the supervisors that won.t allow the officers to arrest the gang members and the judges refuse to sentence the criminals. Police keep large volumes of gang info and pictures of the lot of them. Why do you think the enemy owns our towns? This group of punks deserve more than a slap on the hand regardless of age. Is there any way that we can help this young couple? I want them to know that “WE the People” support them, honor them,and thank them for the job our military does for their country. It takes special people to dedicate their lives to our freedom. And those that do need the support of the loved ones back home that wait for their safe return. God bless them both.

Bill Warner is local PI apparantly. His article states that the couple was attacked by a gang of black teens. Either Bill is a racist or he does’t care about his PI business very much.
Who is Reginald Gardner and Destiny McNeil 20 who were also arrested for interfering with police in this matter.
Who were the black persons seated in front of the theatre with their hands behind their backs and the police cars all around.
Why were they interfering with police. Were they trying to protect an angry mob of unruly white teens against the anger of the White Cops who came to the scene.

The media is very careful not to mention black on white violence in this country. It isn’t until you see their faces in the court that you can even begin to put two and two together. And still more excuses begin to flow forth about what this is REALLY about.

I don’t know, I think this will turn out okay. Florida is a half way decent state as far as the court system, this guy is a marine on leave, and there were a ton of witnesses. The sheriff‘s office also did not buy into any of the gang banger’s crap…I really do not see their side going anywhere. Unfortunately, they will get a slap on the wrist for this though…

Your assumptions are correct. This kid has too much nerve! She was arrested for beating the Marine. Just how does that work anyway? I didn’t know you could do that, get arrested for beating someone and the charge them for beating you? The Marine should be charging her to the hilt for jumping into the fight after it began! She was not in the initial jumping of the man, she joined in after some of them had run away.
Some black people will never get over being born black. They will always have the attitude of “I deserve better because I’m black you Owe it to me. I probably had someone who was once a slave, so you owe me a better life. Now give it to me.” Forget pulling yourself up like every other red blooded American and earning a better life! As to the charges, the local PD pretty much dismissed her. The mom protested outside the PD HQ.
Knowing the Bradenton neighborhood where this took place (my aunt’s house used to be about 10 blocks away from this particular theatre), it’s a pretty racially charged neighborhood and has been for at least 30 years.
My aunt eventually got chased out of the neighborhood after several too many peeping toms.
