Update: U.N. Probes Treatment of Alleged WikiLeaker Bradley Manning

Army Pfc. Bradley Manning is currently being held in a U.S. military prison and stands accused of leaking thousands of classified government documents published by WikiLeaks.  According to reports from the prison, Manning has been unhappy with his living conditions at the prison, complaining about scratchy bed linens and inadequate access to television.

Though most Americans don’t have much sympathy for the disgruntled prisoner, the United Nations is taking it upon themselves to check in on Manning during his “torturous” captivity:

Unhappy with his living conditions? It’s not a federal pen. It’s not even county lockup. It’s a friggin Brig on a Marine base! Don’t like the scratchy sheets, don’t join the military in the first place as the linens in the brig are the same as in a squad bay. Don’t like not having TV and internet, don’t commit treason. So simple even a bleeding heart liberal should be able to figure it out.

Just what in the heck right does the UN have to criticize The United States in the first place? Are we not the major contributer to the UN? We need to pull out of the UN and see just how well they get along without our money and aid that we give all over the world. This is BS. Another attempt to gain global governess or what ever they call it these days. “WE THE PEOPLE” are not interested mr obama and mr soros. Your plan is not the answer .

and here is a little peom by Clement Clarke Moore

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

“Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the house-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of Toys, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As I drew in my head, and was turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of Toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
“Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!”

And speaking of this sissy, why is the military so far behind the curve, where computer security is concerned? Re-writable CD’s at a terminal with access to classified material? Why did that computer even have a writable device? At my office, plugging in a flashdrive would be a firing offense.

I think the UN is a joke. How did we concede any form of authority to a non-representative, non-elected government? I do believe that at some point in time, there could be a central government, but it needs to be through like-minded governments joining together gradually, all working for their mutual abnd shared interests. The UN does not even come close to being legitimate, other than as a discussion forum.

The UN was an American Progressive President’s Agenda, it was a direct replacement for the failed Progressive President Woodrow Wilson’s League of Nations that failed to stop the re-unification of the Austro-Hungarian Empire under the Eurpean Progressive Adolf Hitler. The UN is another example of progressive failure.

You’ve highlighted the point that seems to be missed with this story. There is to much noise and commotion centered on Assange and Manning which is diverting attention away from the deeper questions surrounding this case.
When you at Mannings personality you find the perfect patsy to facilitate a crime implemented by people who are smarter and better connected. Neither Manning or Assange have all of the necessary resources to pull off all these leaks. It just doesn’t make sense.
A larger effort is moving the media to shape our opinions toward an agenda to further control of the masses. Assange and Manning are merely characters to focus our attention on. There are many others involved here and our attention needs to be focused on who might be funding and and arranging the leaks.
