Update: Wis. Gov. Orders in State Patrol After ‘Mob’ Violence at State Fair

One day after witnesses reported groups of black teenagers attacked white patrons on the opening night of the Wisconsin State Fair, Gov. Scott Walker called in the State Patrol to ensure crowd safety for the remainder of the fair.

Organizers also implemented new rules to bar unaccompanied minors from entering the fairgrounds after 5 p.m., something fair CEO Rick Frenette said was a first in his 40 years there.

According to the Wisconsin State Journal, fights started breaking out among black youths around Thursday around 7 p.m., then around 11 p.m. witnesses said dozens to hundreds of black youths began attacking white patrons as they left the fair, punching and kicking them and shaking their vehicles.

Police, still trying to piece together what sparked the violence, said the initial early evening fights did not appear to be racially motivated, although witnesses said the subsequent attacks were.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported:

“You could just tell they were after white people. That was the main thing. If you were white, they were coming after you,” said Jon Stikl of Oak Creek.

He said he was stuck in traffic as a group of young people blocked cars near the fair gate on S. 84th St. near I-94 after he picked up family members attending the fair.

“We noticed a group of five to 10 young black males run up and jump a young white male for no other reason then him being white,” Stikl said.

They knocked him to the ground, and then a group of 15 black men kicked and stomped on him, Stikl said.

“My wife’s brother jumped out of the car – his natural reaction was to try to break it up. Before you knew it, five or 10 guys were on him and started punching at him. My wife was able to pull him back in the car. So now they surrounded my car and just started punching through the windows, kicking and shaking the car, screaming racial things.”

He said there should have been more police presence, given that disturbances were reported inside the fairgrounds shortly after 7 p.m. Thursday.

“I was disgusted by the lack of security. It’s a black eye on the State Fair” and police, he said.

At least 31 people were arrested, many for disorderly conduct, and 11 people were injured — seven of whom were police officers. Authorities said they initially had trouble determining the exact number of injuries because people kept coming forward.

“We can normally handle anything in the park,” State Fair Police Chief Tom Struebing said.

Walker spokesman Cullen Werwie said the governor has been reviewing the Thursday night incidents and made the decision to order in the State Patrol to provide extra help, the Journal Sentinel reported.

“We will continue to evaluate the situation and make any adjustments necessary to ensure a successful and safe event. We will be doing everything in our power to ensure that parents feel that it is safe to bring their children to the world’s best fair,” Werwie said in a statement.

West Allis Mayor Dan Devine strongly condemned the violence, saying in a statement, “thuggery has no place at the Wisconsin State Fair, or anywhere in our society.”

“It is appalling that a group of hoodlums has cast such a negative light on what is traditionally a safe and family friendly event,” he said.

      Call it what it is. Racist lynching tactics for no reason. Reverse racism as the left now call it is just racism. A deep seeded hate for someone with a differnent color. Shameful that we haven’t moved past this & now it seems the hate is sprouting up again. I fear retaliation groups are going to continue this mode of behavior which will only widen the hate.       Same thing with the douchebags on this thread (I’m looking at your Brasil and Techengineer). They want to sit in the comfort of their mom’s basement and incite violence, but they don’t want it spilling into their little world.

      I‘m not saying you shouldn’t defend yourself if you find yourself trapped in this situation. By all means, DEFEND YOURSELF, as well as any others who need help.

      Do NOT go out looking for trouble. This was an organized attack. Someone is using these idiots for their own purpose to create chaos.

      Only Glenn Beck could dream up such a scenario. No blacks are doing what blacks do. It comes natural to them.       …A few years back on the Department of Justice website, the staistics were that blacks were aproximately 7or 8% more likely to kill than whites..and aproximately 93% of the time, they killed their own. This statistical gathering was done by a black man. I doubt that you could find those stats today. It seems to be a gang mentality. Much like when Obama visited black youth shelters, and had closed door meetings with the NAACP before his election. I believe that you are right, but I see Obama as pitting the blacks against whites and helping islamic progression in this country. He has created havoc and chaos.       Thanks for the video link. I watched the film plus a few others. It makes some good points.
      “Dogs returning to their own vomit” It’s a principle of sin which the bible clearly states. All races and people are capable of it, but it seems the black man is more predisposed to it. But I’m still not convinced that it has anything to do with race. I think the moral depravity of the culture has more to do with it than race. That’s why they are better behaved when white Judeo/Christian cultures are in charge. It’s when the restraints are removed that they choose to return to the savagry of the jungle ways that we see their true sin nature. “Like brute beasts fit to be cast into the fire and burned”
      With that being said, we should all pray that each of us are able to conduct ourselves in a cililized way pleasing to God. We all are capable of turning into brute beasts.

      Absolutely! The dumbest thing anybody can do is get involved with any kind of illegal action. Besides it isn’t necessary. This empire has been deteriorating all on its own, and it will continue to do so.

      That doesn‘t mean that self defense isn’t an option, because it is DEFINITELY an option. Just stay within the limits of the law. To do otherwise is not only counter productive it’s completely unnecessary.

      You can “Avoid Reciprocal Violence” only just so long. And not at all, when Violence comes to you personally. Every American should be armed now at all times, with a “license” or without, nobody actually has the Right to require a “license” from you to exercise and God Given Right anyway. ANY Violence encountered must be met with IMMEDIATE and OVERWHELMING reciprocal VIOLENCE, matter not who tries to inflict on you.

      IF you escape the individual confrontation, rest assured most will not be so lucky once the cities begin to burn. So stock in depth, and arm at the very highest level you can afford and deploy effectively. Before this is over, we will need every gun and every round of ammunition that can be had.

      If you look at 1930′s Germany, you’ll see that the people tried to let the political process fix the problems. However, they didn‘t factor in the Nazi’s taking over the guvmint every election until it was too late to do anything. I see that happening now. If we fight now, then they’ll declare martial law.       I agree. IMHO, the whole format of the Blaze comment offering….i.e. the posts that are not posted, the clumsiness of retrievable posts, etc. etc. can be laid at the “new hire” Betsy Morgan who came directly from the Huffington Post to run the Blaze. This is a woman who does not necessarily embrace the fundamental beliefs, mission and purpose of Glenn Beck or his convictions. She claims she was attracted to him because she is “fascinated by brands”. I can guarantee that the majority of posters are here because they share his cause and concern for America and could care less about his “brand”. Old habits die hard, and this woman needs to move on and get “fascinated by another brand”……one that supports her liberal ideas and The Blaze needs to wake up.

      Okay, I tried to stick up for The Blaze in the first post, but now I’m on the band wagon with the rest!!

      I’ve tried to post a reply to some of the racism on here and it will not post. Because of problems in the past I have learned to copy my post before I try to post it. Just in case. Well I’ve tried 3 or 4 times to post it. It is nowhere to be found and when I try to re-post it, it tells me, “it seems you have already posted that, duplicate post”. Maybe The Blaze wants onlookers to think everyone here is a stupid racist since my counter point is not allowed to post………………………

      I’ve lived in Milwaukee-area all my life (over age 60) and what has destroyed… and continues to harm the city and nearby burbs is liberalism. Milwaukee has been “ruled” by the democratic party … and their union bosses for the past 50 years… we are over-taxed and over-burdened with high fees… with no improvement to any so-called poverty/disadvantaged lives. It’s the entitlement mentality that has spawned this generation of thugs. Time to say no more free ride to these arrogant freeloaders!

      By fighting back, I guess you mean busting heads. It does not work and in this case it will just escalate. Walker is doing the right thing to call in the state patrol. I wish he would have done it yesterday. These young, black groups have destroyed other community festivals in the Milwaukee area. Nothing positive will happen until an organized law enforcement group steps in. Living in this area I sometimes feel like you do, but it is all about control, which these youths cannot or will not do..

      I am just outside of the Baltimore/D.C. corridor. I don’t go to any place that has large gatherings. It WILL happen here. My daughter moved from PA to near the Balto. line. The investigation should attempt to determine if outside organizations encouraged the mayhem. Both white and black and others of racist persuasion pile on an event like this stirring up hatred and bitterness. Not the way to go in my opinion.

      You can discriminate to IDENTIFY wrongdoers (in this case, pay more attention to black teens entering the park) as that’s just common sense. But not for punishment. You can’t punish ALL black teens for the actions of a few.

      Whatever happened to justice? Is it not unjust to punish the innocent? What you’re advocating is a form of communism; gone are individual rights, replaced by collective non-rights. Yes it’s easier, but it’s wrong.

    The growing mob mentality is dangerous. I’ve heard multiple times in the media and on TV shows only white people can be racists. I don’t believe the rule of law when it comes to hate crimes sees it the same way. All suspects involved in this case should be charged with hate crimes! Be aware and vigilant when in large groups. Protect yourself, you family and each other. Notify officials as soon as you see something even starting. This was a race driven attack by a mob of black racist teens, period!

      On one of the liberal blogs, they are using every Saul Alinsky tactic to deflect attention to the behavior of these animals.

      They question the timing because of the recall election.
      They question the source.
      They question the people who were eye witnesses as they must be racists.

      Given the ratio of crimes committed in this country to the ratio of population, this group has shown they are not ready for prime time civilization and this is someone who voted twice for Alan Keyes for President (and would again if he ran).

      These are 100% DOJ head Holder’s people so the hoards of apologists will come out in force. In fact, I think apologists are the only area of true job growth under the muslime in chief.
