    I dont know how many people have to say that Muslims have a right to build a Mosque and worship in the safety of the USA….Just dont build one at or near Ground Zero!.. and BTW its time to quit flopping around on your pity pot and do what’s right if you really care about this country! Have your Imam INVESTIGATED…wow there’s a novel idea….
    Now they have a video assuring all that they are NOT going to Take Over America? We need to ask ourselves why. Why do they need to make that video? Do we need to make our own video saying that Americans wont ALLOW ANYONE to Take Over America? We are an educated Nation. We cannot, and will not be reeled in by a fluff-n-stuff video.

    This Native American Indian thinks Islam does not keep the 10 Commandments. In my Christian-Judeo America the First Commandment of God is the most important. I say Yes to Muslims and NO to Islam. For the first time in my adult life I am proud of my country because it feels like the God of Moses is finally making a comeback.

    The real problem is we don’t have enough American Muslims speaking out against others who radicalize their faith…Once they turn out in huge numbers to denounce these terrorists , only then will we take them seriously…

      Political correctness seems to have trumped military law,
      as well as civil court prosecution.

      So I do believe the end result of THAT was Muslims
      got a free skate. This bending over backwards to be fair
      only enables Islam to gloat, and emboldens future attacks.

      In theory, yes . . .”muslims can‘t run our country as long as we don’t allow the to live by their own law (Sharia law).” But I see it as being very similar to the multi-cultural, political correctness in my small Iowa town. We can pass all the ordinances & laws we like to control the behavior of illegals. But what ends up happening is that said illegals & their white liberal lawyers scream RACIST and everybody backs down. Ultimately that’s what will tie our hands in dealing with future enforcement of our laws against muslims. And teaparty, they.know.it.

    There are a lot of negative comments and this make me suspect people of wanting to put Glenn Beck’s audience in a negative light. Yes people have conquered in the name of Islam but, they have also conquered in the name of Judaism and Christianity. This does not change the actual positive message of Christ, Moses or Muhammad. My argument is simply, yes people have conquered in the name of Islam and put up Mosque on the sacred ground of others but, this is America we are not going to condemn others based on what a minority of their group does. Please listen to what is at the heart of Glenn Beck’s words. We can not win if we become hateful.
    I am sure you know the words of your own religious founders, Please consider the words of Muhammad in them you will find things that can and have been twisted to mean something negative but most are hard to twist into anything but a peaceful message.

      I like the spirit of your post and agree with it in general. I also don’t mean to be insulting, but using ‘thinkexist’ quote function to learn about Islam’s beliefs is sort of lke reading a fortune cookie to learn about Confucious.

      If you want to learn about Islam, you read translations of the Koran. Understand that it is NOT in chronological order. The Law of Abrogation states that whatever is the last thing that Mohammed said on a matter is the final say. Then learn which passages were said first and which last. Reading random quotes reveal nothing..

      THAT is how you can learn about Islam. Then you also have to read history. A LOT OF IT.

      Btw, I am nonplussed by the PSA in question. Really does’nt matter to me. What matters are the ACTIONS of a people, not the spin. Sweet commercial. Too bad it doesn‘t matter because it’s a commercial.

    I’ll say I support their right to build a place of worship for the right to religious worship, but why is that spot of hallowed ground so significant for a mosque? Why must 9/11 be thrown back in our face in such a way from the very religious faction (all though radically extreme piece) that was directly responsible for 9/11 in the first place? And also, the very point several have already made that it’s expected within their religion to progress islam at all costs (paraphrasing) doesn’t give one a sense of calm or trust.

    This is swiftly becoming a difficult task to adhere to the beliefs of the very constitution I love and believe in while wanting to turn a closed eye toward it to see to it our lost brothers, sisters, moms, dads, cousins, husbands, and wives aren’t disgraced! And what I mean by closed eye is very simply finding a way to force them to build elsewhere, and I know that’s not the way to think, but it’s very difficult due to the sensitivity of the area.
    No matter what happens I pray that they adhere to a code of sensitivity and understanding at how much 9/11 emotionally hurt our country.And I pray that they adhere to a strict code of discretion so as to not imply that they’re rubbing it in our faces.

    Some of you are trying to look at this like their trying to reach out to us in a harmonious gesture of peace. Fall for this deceptive ploy at your own risk. Man up. They are here to take America and the freedoms away. Will you not understand one thing. Freedom and Muslim can not cohabitate together. Your saying their here now I’m still free. As their numbers increase your freedoms will decrease. They pay off the politicians and initiate and construct their own imbeded laws within a country. Ask the British and French who can tell you these things or if you wish bury your head in sand. When the British police wished to enter the Muslim community there for the surveillance of suspicious activities, the Chief of the Muslim Council of Britain threatened to unlease two million Muslim terrorists into the community.     Just in case you did not know Muslims like to – build a monument as it were, to their conquests. Islam is notorious for building Mosques in places they have conquered.

    The terror attacks of 9/11 they want to mark as a victory.

    This is a step towards historical practice of Islamicization of conquered countries.

    Noni Darwish“ indicated that building a mosque at this place would be seen as a symbol of victory over Americans by the jihadist.

    The name of the proposed Islamic Center is “Cordoba Institute”

    “Cordoba is the city in southern Spain where Muslims built their first great mosque at the start of, and as a symbol of, their conquest of Spain.

    The Koran (018:021) states: ’Build a building over them, their Lord knows best about them;’ and those who prevailed in their affair said, ’We will surely make a mosque over them.’

    There is a tradition of building mosques to celebrate or symbolize victory.

    i feel like there is some truth to what these Muslims are saying; however, we have to remember that in their religion it talks about furthering their religion at all costs and that the people who are behind this group are looking to do that! Any group looking for backing are going to try and seem as non threatening as possible even if they are!

    I did watch the video, and visited their site and while I don‘t think that any reasonable minded person can disagree with the content of these PSA’s, the core question is who is behind them that matters.

    IF this is a group of moderate Muslims who truly desire to build harmony then I say good for them. IF this is an AstroTurf campaign backed by well funded radical groups with ties to terrorism then I say this should be recognized as propaganda.

    I wonder if this was what the Visigoths were thinking when the former king’s sons invited Tariq bin Ziyad to come help them overthrow Rodrigo and get their throne back. Islamic goals haven’t changed much since 711 when this happened; conquest is part of the bedrock of their faith. Even in the days of Mohammad they spread their religion by conquering.

    You may not be familiar with Tariq bin Ziyad, but you are probably familiar with Jabal Tariq, aka Gibraltar, the mountain of Tariq. That was the rock where he told his fellow warriors that they were going to burn their ships and conquer the land instead of helping out the king’s sons. They did conquer, and that’s how Moorish Spain came about. They were only stopped by Charles Martel in 732.

      I agree. That video was the same as knowing you did something wrong and looking at who you wronged and trying the ‘bat eyelashes and look innocent’ approach. I will say that I know there is a large portion of American Muslims who are peaceful. It is the other ones, the ones as you stated that will do whatever it takes to ‘take over’. I doubt that anyone with even a little intelligence will watch that and go ohhhhhh okay.

      Some people like Rush must not spend much time with or around many muslims. Come on down to Michigan and we can take a little stroll thru their neighborhoods. None of them have assimilated into American culture or do they want to. They have their own schools, stores, housing areas. They want what we have, but they don’t want us….Americans.
