WASHINGTON (AP) — The Obama administration is making good on an election-year promise to Arkansas Sen. Blanche Lincoln to give millions of dollars in aid to farmers who lost crops due to weather.
Many of the farmers eligible are in Arkansas. Lincoln, caught in a bruising race for re-election, has pushed for the aid, and she secured a promise from White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel in July that the money would be paid out. It took the Agriculture Department almost two months to figure out how to do it, since such disaster aid is usually subject to congressional approval.
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced Wednesday that the $630 million in disaster aid will come from a pot of money at USDA that is often used to supplement school nutrition programs.

Posted on September 15, 2010 at 6:22pmThis is nothing more than a wealth redistribution plot. There were numerous articles on how there were only 18,000 farmer involved in the original lawsuit but those numbers swelled to 71,700 SCUMBAGS who had never farmed and had never lived anywhere but the cities. Furthermore, the claimants did not need to prove that they ever actually farmed! What a boondoggle. THIS is what Obozo is all about…..not about truth or fairness, but about “social justice.” VOTE THIS FRAUD OUT IN 2012!!

Posted on September 15, 2010 at 5:02pmObama gives, but he so narrowily defines the qualifications that no one can receive the proceeds. Take the hoop houses from Michelle Obama. It would be the size of a normal living room, but all the crops would have to be planted directly in the ground and be sold to the public at a farmer’s market. I don’t think anyone qualified.
Report Post »This money will probably be handed out to all farmers with four toes on their left foot, one eye and live in a house built on sticks with a thatch roof. All obama’s programs are thinely defined to keep as many people out as possible. Just look at the narrow lines of the mortgage help. Who could apply? No one.

What this is, is a giant campaign contribution to Blanche Lincoln, on our dime. That is what the unspent stimulus money is for, as well.
This is the liberal method of *forcing* taxpayers to “contribute” to Democrats.

Posted on September 15, 2010 at 4:46pmThis is the kind of charity that we can take advantage of. Up the price of wheat to Russia to compensate the tax-payer. The role of State Government should be to keep a Farmer‘s fund for helping the state’s farms. It is not, as I see it, a Federal role.

If you toy with trolls, then you are a troll. Trolling the trolls is not an intellectually or morally defensible position. It inevitably leads to a destroyed forum that holds no interest for anyone with a brain, filled with trolls and counter-trolls.

Posted on September 15, 2010 at 4:44pmMost people that I meet that are against the “Tea Party” say it is up to the government to help them. They do not grasp the concept that people have to work and give their money to the government so they can stay home and watch the Simpsons. It is like when people have an accident and say the insurance company will pay for it our hard earned money supports all of that and when we defraud the government or the insurance people we are the ones who are going to pay. When do the lights come on for the left when there is no one else working to pay their way??

IT IS OUR MONEY they are spending not theirs. Sad to say I heard the same from my sister with her 3 daughters that are all pregant with no fathers paying their way. She stated the “STATE owed her more aid. I pulled out my billfold and through it at her and told her her STATE aid came from my pocket.

Posted on September 15, 2010 at 5:53pmI’m afraid Beckofile is right. The decision to release this money had nothing to do with concern for farmer’s needs or any desire to do the right thing. Rather, it was a $630 million vote purchase.
Manupulating voters is much more satisfying to these politicians than saving them from disaster. However, the entitlement mindset which has been nurtured by politicians for a hundred years has taken root and people don’t take responsibility to save themselves as they naturally should.
We all must take responsibility for ourselves.

Report Post »How in heaven‘s name can our plans for taking back our beloved country succeed if we can’t even get it right on this website. I’m referring to the reaction to that “Dangle” person. I know how frustrated everyone is to have to put up with an agitator. The knee-jerk reaction is to put this scum in it’s place. But everyone here knows that this type of reaction is exactly why the agitator says what it does in the first place. Everyone here knows this scum is not looking to have dialogue………..it simply wants to distract all of us from the important discussions. Please………we cannot behave this way any longer. This agitator………all of them……..are irrelevent. Giving them even one second of recognition means we have failed this test. Pray for them if that is what you truly feel moved to do, but don’t tell them you are doing it. Mr. Beck has asked us to make decisions. Some of us may think acknowledging agitators in any way isn’t too important…………..but it IS………we must understand how best to rebutt them………..IGNORE THEM……..totally ignor them. I’m asking everyone here to unite on the strategy of totally ignoring them. Please, let’s take this opportunity given to us to truly shift our actions to match our heartfelt goals. I’m going to post this in several other discussions, just to make sure I reach as many people I can, but only today. I don’t want to become annoying. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. God bless us all and our beloved United States of America.

If every politician went on vacation until January I am sure we would be better off. To take money from one group and then siphon off about 50% for the program and bureaucrats then deliver half the money to another group will not do anything in the overall picture. Do you see you must injure one party to give to another??? Oh but the bureaucrat makes off with the injured paties money and then funnels some to the union who in turn think up another way to inflict injury upon another unsuspecting group. It’s called a circle jerk.
