Van Jones Describes Utopian ‘Green’ World Where the Unemployed Plant ‘Community Gardens,‘ Put Up ’Solar Panels,’ Work Organic Fields, & are ‘Just Doing Art’

On a radio show last week, former Obama adviser Van Jones described his vision of a “just, green economy.” In his description, Mr. Jones envisions a future for America based on “shared, sustainable prosperity”:
“I realized that there is a future out there that is a positive future — where we can have a shared sustainable prosperity, where the people who don’t have work right now can be employed planting those community gardens, working in the organic foods field, putting up solar panels, weatherizing homes, and just doing art and taking care of kids and each other.”
This green utopia has not come to pass yet because, according to Jones:
“unfortunately, as the financial collapse occurred and brought down the U.S. economy and we were trying to rebuild that economy on a greener basis, the opponents of change really went into a different gear and stepped up their attacks on me personally, on other leaders, on the president, and made it very difficult for us to make the kind of progress.”
But Jones will not loose hope. He makes sure to note that this green utopia is still an “economy that we can work toward.”
The comments are strangely reminiscent of Speaker Pelosi’s comments in March where she declared that Obamacare will allow one to quit their job and be “whatever”:
“A bill that says to someone, if you want to be creative and be a musician or whatever, you can leave your work, focus on your talent, your skill, your passion, your aspirations because you will have health care. You won’t have to be job locked.”
Listen to Jones describe a green utopia below:

Posted on July 5, 2012 at 10:30pmUgghh…liberals are much sicker than I imagined. Healthcare is NOT the only reason we keep our jobs. I submit that food, house & car payments, utilities, schooling, and…drum roll please…some of us really like our jobs (some don’t).
Has it occurred to everyone…anyone…that we don’t have to go to doctors or the emergency room? We don’t have to pay extreme monies on cut/burn/poison cancer treatments? What the heck do people think our ancestors did about medical attention? Most ancient folks died from infections and childbirth. Make your own infection medicine! Quit having so many babies! I grow and make my own medicines. I am self studied…me and my friends. We don’t go to doctors. We don’t take their recommended Rx drugs w/side effects.
Who says we have to have insurance? I agree that if you have an accident, or some serious need for surgery you need both a doctor and a hospital. Could it be that the hospitals are so expensive because of a bunch of free loaders/aliens that NEVER pay for medical care? Could it be that the price of a doctors visit (not that much really) is as high as they are because of frivolous LAWSUITS!!!
I submit that the problem is not that we need insurance. Do away with insurance. Take that money and save it for “a rainy-this-time-it’s-serious-medical-emergency”. Instead of buying a new car, or BigBig Flat Screen, or vacation, or ???. Save your money, save your selves.

Posted on July 5, 2012 at 10:36pmI thought black folks were very much against slavery? Who decides where you go to work, next? Who in the heck would pay for everybody doing they’re own thing? If we wanted to be a rock star…wouldn’t we already be headed that way? How is changing the whole system going to make it all better for everyone? If you aren’t doing what you really like doing…something is wrong with you. We keep our day job because it usually pays better than our fun stuff. Why would a brain surgeon keep working hard so another person can play the piano…because they like playing the piano?
Liberal thinking just really sucks. They don’t even think things out very far. It’s play-dough time. They never left Kindergarten. I’m going to vomit now.

I’ve been battling cancer for a year and a half, stage 4 breast cancer, with conventional medicine. I just had a PET scan and they said I’m “stable” because I only “progressed a little bit.” I’m turning to “unconventional” medicine because conventional medicine has failed me. I had a friend steer me towards B17, and I feel great after only a few weeks. I’m just eating foods high in B17 right now, but considering Laetrile. The Pharmaceutical companies prescribe meds so that you have to take more meds for the side effects that the original meds cause.

Posted on July 6, 2012 at 10:37amthis is a true story. we had a nice little garden growing and one day a black couple came to visit. the guy worked with my wife. i was out puttering in the garden when they arrived. they walked out to where i was and they were asking “what’s this? what’s that?”. as i was telling them what the plants were, i went to my potato bed, pulled some straw back, grabbed a baby potato, washed it at the hydrant, and started to eat it. they looked at me like i just put a dog t**d in my mouth. i thought they were going to puke. i believe she actually got a little woozy. it was the funniest damn thing i ever saw. well, they were from nyc. so van, good luck with that.

Has been and always will be till the end of time. There will always be a bottom 20%. But what makes America different is people, who have drive and determination, can change the prospect for their family in THEIR lifetime. That 20% will always be there, but what statistics and numbers do not show the American People is the validity of those numbers. People are always fluctuating in and out of that 20%. Nothin is worth having if it is given to you. I guess that is why Libs hate everything because they have to work for it.
