Van Jones: ‘Despicable’ Republicans, Tea Party Are Intentionally Hurting Americans Economically For Political Gain

On Friday, Van Jones, former advisor to President Obama, appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and argued that Republicans and the Tea Party are intentionally destroying the American economy so that they can benefit politically and get Obama out of office.
“The entire Republican party for the past four years has been doing something that I think is despicable,” he said.
Jones explained they have been implementing a “bodies on the beach” strategy where “they” think that the more bodies that pile up on the beach, the more likely people will want to “fire the lifeguard” — or in this case, vote Obama out of office.
“They want Obama fired, so they don’t care how many Americans are in economic pain. The more Americans, in fact, that are in economic pain, the more they see for themselves in political gain. And that’s why you’ve seen, not just the Tea Party, but the entire Republican party refuse to step up to the plate on common sense stuff like tax cuts for small businesses, tax help for veterans,” Jones said.
Jone continued: “You Go down the line and you’ll see that things Republicans stood for, they now stand against and won’t pass in this Congress because they want to hurt the American people economically so they can gain politically. That’s not just the Tea Party.”
But Sen. Chuck Schumer disagreed slightly with Jones, saying that there are some Republicans who are willing to work with Democrats but the Tea Party is trying to hijack Congress.
The trouble is, he said, “the Tea Party group is gaining ascendancy in the Republican party. Bad for them, but worse for the country.”
“One of the worse things that happened that will prevent us from reaching a resolution of the fiscal cliff in December was the loss of Dick Lugar,” said Schumer. “He was respected, he was liked. And the guy he lost to said — he’s a Tea Party guy — he says, ‘I believe there’s too much compromise in Washington. The only compromise I want is when Democrats surrender to Republicans.’ How — that is not how the founding fathers set up our system.”
“Now, the good news is America always corrects itself. It may correct itself in this election. One of the reasons that we’re doing much better in the Senate than anyone thought is because the hard right, the Tea Party is knocking off mainstream Republican candidates and putting up their candidates. Last time, that led to the election of Democrats in places like Colorado, Nevada, Delaware.”

Don’t listen to the many that say “don’t post Van Jones (or whoever else) articles”. They know not what they speak.
I, for one, want to see the thoughts and moves of the opposition. It’s easier to prepare a defense.
You could, of course, just start another site called everyonethatagreeswithRideologuesallthetime.com and those that don’t like these stories could just go hang out there. You could put some stories on there about Mitts’ hairdo, his dogs and cats, his wonderful family, etc. Every story would end with the assurance that the R’s are always right, and that if you don’t agree with them you are a neanderthal. They would love that! Just put that pacifier in the old mouth and lay back and go to sleep. Sheeple! Sheesh! Thanks, and Peace.

Ignoring Article II, Section 1 of the US Constitution is a waste of time ? Why do you think Obama hates America ? He was not born here of American parents, he wasn’t raised here, absorbing American mores, and he was raised a Muslim, knowing from almost birth that infidels need to be exterminated or forcibly converted to Islam.
Report Post »TheCounterRevolutionary
Posted on August 3, 2012 at 7:01pmAltair, Obama is a U.S. citizen born on U.S. soil. He is not a Muslim, he is a communist. The two things are actually incompatible, as communism is overtly atheistic (“Religion is the opium of the masses” -Karl Marx). What I’m trying to say to you, is that Obama is an atheist (“they cling to their God and their guns” -Obama). The only reason that he may appear to have a Muslim bias is because he shares radical Islam’s hatred of the U.S. Like I said to Blackyb, if you want him out vote Romney.

Please forgive my use of the term “******” in my last response. It was only a humorous attempt to point out your intellectual deficiency. As to my frustration; aside from your attacks on my faith (which I find intolerable) I have largely enjoyed reading your little attempts at intellectualism. Now I’ll be blunt. The entirety of your “liberal” (progressive) ideology has no basis in reason. It is based purely on the manipulation of human emotion to alter behavior for the purpose of achieving a political end. It cannot lay claim to the legacy of classical liberalism (Locke, Hobbes, and Smith) like modern conservatism and libertarianism can. Its roots are in radical collectivism and stateism (i.e. communism, fascism, Nazism, etc…). Though it is less radical than any of the previously mentioned systems, the ultimate goal is the same. Whatever claims of equality are made, whatever lies about creating a utopian society are told, the ultimate underlying goal of all of these ideologies is the creation of a totalitarian state. I have no respect for what you believe. In my opinion it is pure, unadulterated evil. The fact that you have bought into such an ideology means that you are either extremely naive, or morally bankrupt. Based on your conduct on this site, I tend to believe the latte

Report Post »Won’t happen? We’re going to vote them out? Do you really want to bet on that? When was the last time a communist voluntarily surrendered power to a non-communist?
Your answer tells you whats going to happen in late Sept. or October.

Posted on August 3, 2012 at 8:17pmActually HD (Horse Doody) the premise describes the Dems/Left very accurately…they want to control your mental processes as well as the fruits of your labor….the Tea Party arose to counter that threat…if you truly value freedom you wouldn;t be a troll/stooge/toady for the left. Why don’t you really think about the deficit, the train wreck that is obamacare and tell us (anyone) how that level of spending can be sustained …..the short answer is , it can’t be sustained…it’ll kill the country. Common sense being what it is this issue all on it’s own should be very simple even for the likes of you to understand. Heres a very real worry of the Tea Party…if interest rates rise to 5% on the debt (this has to happen at some point in the very near future to head off hyper inflation) the interest payment on 16T will rise from 258 billion to just over 1 trillion. The annual GDP in a good economy is roughly 1.5 T………now the last time we had major economic upheaval like this the interest rates shot up to double digits ( 1979 ) . If Interest rates hit 7% we are broke, done, finished. The Tea Party sees what is coming and is trying to stave off what would be absolute anarachy and chaos. Another 10 T in debt in the next 10 years ( Obama has run a 1T + defecit for 4 years in a row now). The country is in GRAVE financial danger and trhe Dems and trhe likes of you are pretending otherwise. Calling us stupid for wanting to address the obvious danger makes your position wha

Posted on August 3, 2012 at 5:13pmWhat Van Jones is getting upset about is that we have his number now and America is waking up and shutting down his cash cow enterprises, which is the group really raping the American people financially. Make no mistake, this man is dangerous and anything he says should be taken seriously. This is why Cass Susstein is leaving the WH, he can’t get done what he needs to do, so he is going back undercover in the private realm.
Anytime you Van Jones whining about us, it means we are WINNING!

It was Obama that invested all the money in failed companies. It was him that sent money to Brazil instead of keystone (now it is a beetles fault). Oh, yes birds being killed with “windmills”. Obamacare is a disaster to our health and to our pocketbooks with more taxes, etc. So sorry I have to leave room for others to write.

Your mistake. Their mistake as well for we will not lay down and take this crap and have that liar and phony in our White House. Congress needs to get their sorry azzes in gear and arrest that treasonous bunch of Communist/Socialist/Marxists they allowed to infiltrate our Government while they were “vacaying” (I hate that freaking word) and dallying around. Posted on August 3, 2012 at 5:08pmIt is no wonder the left thinks the way they do. These are the flunkies in school that never understood what a percentage means. They throw the words ‘fair share’ around constantly yet have not the slightest concept of what a ‘share’ means. In their twisted world a share of your stuff is whatever they want up to ALL OF IT. This is why I will always perceive the left as the moron evil ones who gather in the Demorat party where they can feed off each other. Just leave the rest of us out of your fantasy world Jones.
