Van Jones: GOP Faction Puts Gun to Head of 310 Million People

There must be a full moon on the rise, or at least something is in the air because there has been no shortage of outrageous outbursts from far-left Democrats disparaging the GOP. This time, former “green jobs czar” Van Jones is back at it again, telling Americans that Republicans are putting a “gun to the head of 310 million people.”

During Thursday’s Rebuild the Dream rally outside the U.S. Capitol, Jones said Americans “refuse to bow down” to what amounts to hostage-taking tactics. Jones reportedly told MRCTV:

“Any faction in America that would put a gun to the head of 310 million people and say ‘If you don’t do it our way, we will blow your dreams away, we will blow a hole in the American economy’, that is un-American. That is not how we do business, and we refuse to bow down to those tactics.”

The Rebuild the Dream movement is of course co-sponsored by MoveOn.org in partnership with the Daily Kos, Planned Parenthood, Code Pink, Green for All, and ProgressiveCongress.org, among others.

      Indeed we are a Constitutional Republic not a democracy…to ones like Van Jones who hold any non socialist progressive state is a nightmare needing to be fixed, the distinction is meaningless. The administration has to be getting desperate when they drag Van Jones back out of the darkness and into the light to spread the dissent and lies of their messages.

      Actually, we were constitutionally established as a representative republic. I think the “democratic” tag got a huge boost when the Progressives added the 17th amendment to the constitution changing selection of senators from the state houses to popular vote. This effectively neutered the states’ ability to fight off on overreaching federal government. If people really wanted to get back on the path to living within the confines of the constituion, then the first thing that should be done would be the REPEAL of the 17th amendment.

      We used to live in a constitutional republic. Now, its a corporate democracy. Constitution was suspended in 1861 and never re-instated. We are, now, under martial law. You can tell: executive “orders” cannot be issued with the force of law if we have a constitution.

      By revolutionary class the bourgeoisie (the capitalists and property owners) i mean that they must constantly innovate and evolve to expand growth and economic prowess. At the same time, you see the growth of the proletariat or the working class.

      A class, according to marxist theory, is a group of people and what defines them is how they relate to the means of production (or industry in general in all forms). Workers are people who sell their labor in return for a wage or salary. A capitalist is one who owns the means of production (of has ownership in capital) but does not necessarily do productive value-increasing.making work.

      Over 100 yeas this society then lived on. Then came the reality of this mode of production. Labor(proletariat/working class) was paid in wages based on ‘market value’ but was really a wage that was enough to allow for the reproduction of a working family to provide a source of labor and consumption of the commodities.

      Out of this reality developed the idea that the owners and capitalists are not necessary for economic development and human development. This resulted in the idea of the working class taking power. The workers run industry democratically in order to meet the needs of society and to also democratize production, wages, and so on.

      i could go on and on. but ill just say this.

      Socialists advocate workers control over the means of production. Democratic decision making in the workplace… directly.

      We are a Constitutional Republic or were anyway. “Van” The truth is “The American Dream” is not a Free Rride of the Backs of Wealthy and Small businesses who provide jobs. Obama Healthcare (which was forced on the American people by a liberal congress and senate and might I add passed without knowing what was in it. That Bill is rapeing Medicare and small business, read it and weep. As to the majority of the people, this is more of the Progressive belief that if you say it loud enough and long enough People will believe you over all truth to the contrary.       Free markets that are truly free coupled w/democracy make look all-kinds-of ugly on paper, but they have a way of working quite well in the real world. The hiccups come when gov’t gets into the middle of the market.

      Also, everyone always forgets that Clinton left Bush with a recession. He got us out of it by reducing regulation and lowering taxes… it lasted less than 6 months…

      Obama faced with a recession went the opposite way and increased regulation and spent a couple trillion dollars picking winners and losers and investing in pet projects… its been 3 years and the recession is still going.

      I think any 5th grader could see which worked and what needs to be done now.

    What is so hard about understanding that everyone should live within their means? Most American families understand the meaning of a budget. Most American families have to adjust certian things so they can live within their budget. Seems to me that the people that are so against America living within a budget are the people who feel the rest of us owe them a free ride. I’m not talking about SS or medicare here, we have all sent our money to the government to cover those expenses but they spent it. Send them more money and they will spend it and ask for more, and more, and more, and.

      IT IS NARCISSISM! When a child is emotionally injured in that stage of growth they never get past it and grow up to believe they are better and the center of everything. They are everywhere and they will injure their children the same way so they will look and act just like them. The numbers of narcissists is growing and they make up the Democratic party. There is reason to fear…..just look up NPD on the net and you will understand why. Obama is a cerebral narcissist and Bill Clinton is a somatic narcissist. Van is cerebral like Obama and Hillary.       marxists see society along the basis of who own or controls the productive forces within a given society. that means factories, shops, stores, distribution centers and so on (in the context of today).

      centralized power is not inherently socialistic or communistic or marxian. it depends on the context of the real material or concrete and visible(or quantifiable) conditions on which that society operates.

      From a communist perspective (in my case, Marxism-Leninism) what jones has done was really telling. i mean, he got into a top position in a bourgeois democratic (or whatever you want to call it) government that has not ended the wars, has bailed out corporations and wall street, has offered to cut social spending (and not touch military spending!) and has engaged in an imperialist campaign in Libya. The man may be a left-liberal or a social democrat, but hardly a communist.

      red baiting doesnt make him a communist. period.

      as for the whole czar thing. as i said. its irrelevant. and no, it doesnt not mean its some sort of communist position in government.

      your point about a tsar being a slavic verison of the kaiser or caesar is correct. i do not contest that.

      state control or administration of the economy is not inherently socialism. if that were the case then Louis XIV would have been a prominent socialist. but that is incorrect. Socialism is still a class society in which the stat still does exist. but the state is a tool for class power. if the monarchs, landed aristocrats, and nobility control the state and guide the economy via the state then it is feudalism because it serves the interests of the feudal elite. Socialism is where working people have control of the state (or their political representatives) and works in the interests of the vast majority of the population, the working masses.

      on the subject of the individual.

      heres the issue. Communists (of the marxian persuasion) see individual liberty only being truly attainable by the abolition of the capitalist or any other class based system. when all people can freely and equally relate with one another can the individual truly be free. Social evolution does not happen instantly.
