Van Jones Predicts ‘Potential Nightmare Scenario’ of Social Unrest

St. Louis blogger Adam Sharp has posted a series of videos from Van Jones’ recent talk at Washington University.  The most exciting clip was when they decided to toss Adam out of the event!  But his subsequent posts have been revealing on a number of fronts, including Jones comparing Fox News to Satan.

Today Sharp Elbows adds one more clip into the mix.  Many of you have followed Glenn Beck‘s analysis of how desperate progressives will begin to drive wedges in this country that may trigger the kind of trouble we’ve watching unfold across Europe.  It seems Van Jones is now predicting just that.   Jones is unwavering that the U.S. is “going to go into a tough period.”  A “potential nightmare scenario” he calls it.

Jones sees two trends.  A country that is growing more diverse.   And one that he is certain is going to be “less and less economically prosperous.”  He repeats his forecast.  Makes you wonder –  what intel does he have that he can be so confident of American economic demise?

These trends, says Jones pointing us to history, make up a recipe:  “That is not a recipe for common ground, that’s a recipe for a battleground.”

Bonus Van Jones flashback: While looking for pictures to help with this post I came across an old favorite.  This isn’t new — it was much discussed a year ago.  It takes us back to 2003 when Van Jones served as the grass roots political director for then California gubernatorial candidate…Arianna Huffington:

      Amen! There’s still the day of reckoning that must be dealt with concerning Jones. He was able to leave his position in the White House without explaining anything concerning his time there or why he was leaving.

    I understand Rubin’s concern about progressivism, but dada (and close cousins, absurdism and surrealism) used nonsense langauge and outlandish imagery to show how meaningless and empty they thought “bourgeois” society was. Their actual influence was pretty slight. I enjoy Jarry’s Ubu plays, for example, but who gives a crap about the plays of Jarry or Ionesco today? I see it as meaningless, pretentious fluff, sound and fury signifying nothing.

    Just wait, soon he’ll be the one actually calling for the riots in the streets instead of predicting it. Will the Obama Administration do anything about it? No! Did the Obama Admin do anything about the Black Panthers yelling with megaphones in the streets to “Kill White Babies”? No! Did the Obama Admin do anything about the Black Panthers voter intimidation at the polling places? No!

    Obama is the one President that could have healed the racial tension in American once and for all. So many African Americans and white Americans looked up to him and followed him without question. Has he done anything about it? No! Will he? No!     I really wouldn’t call him an idiot, but I would say that he is a very dangerous individual. You have probably noticed that these people have changed their tones, because they know that they are losing the battle over Socialism. Now they are calling for war in the streets to get their way. I think that they should be considered enemy combatants and go to Gitmo. Right now they are a minority but with them teaching our children in schools it’s not going to take long before they grow in numbers so be sure and teach your children also.

      The police in the USA do not have a plan for what is about to happen here. Look to all the riots that have happened in the past and how ineffective the police were in even containing the situation. The police are so far outnumbered in a riot that they are quickly overwhelmed and must resort to a defensive position.If a thousand people are rioting on the east side of a major city and a thousand people are rioting on the west side the police must respond to both places at the same time. At most a third of the police department are on duty, due to three shifts, at any given time so response will be slow and light. If the rioting spreads to the north and south sides the police are spread even thinner. The number of officers that are able to respond is less than a third of the total department. If you had an 1800 officer department only about half of that number is uniformed and street officers.The other half are supervisors and detectives. That puts the response to less than 300 officers.Due to days off,injuries and vacations that number may fall to about 200. Two hundred officers reponding to four different hot spots would be fifty officers per riot. As the riot continues the ranks of the rioters will swell as bystanders begin to get worked up and decide to join the destruction which will farther limit the police response until they have to retreat or be overun. If the criminal element joins in with the idealist rioters then all hell is going to break loose and the riot will be expanded and the police cannot contain it to one area and the rioters are fluid and they can freely move their front at will. The solution is to prepare to protect yourself and your property or you may be a victim of the riot. Think Reginald Denny or Korean shop owners in the L.A. riots.

Stirring the pot rom the top down (Government’s inability to cure the problems) and from the bottom up (The poor “Downtrodden masses”) stirring up riots and insurrections, catching the majority of law abiding citizens in the middle and demanding a solution to the problem.       Ultimately common sense will prevail and we will turn to God and the Constitution. No doubt in my mind at all. There will be unrest and riots in the bigger cities. I believe they will drag the elitists into the streets. Many innocent people will die, but many more revolutionary activists will die. I truly believe it is coming and my family will not be around the problem areas by choice.

      The thing we must do is prepare with food storage and self defense to weather the coming storm. Thankfully I moved out of a big city to one that is much er. I know that Patriots will be there to restore the Republic after the unrest dies down.

      For those afraid of the Military taking over and running the Nation…maybe for a short while, but there are too many that know the Constitution is the way to restore everything WE THE PEOPLE believe in…

      Thw Communists, Socialists and Marxists will fail again because of who we are…FREE PEOPLE!

      No, they tried that. Civil unrest is caused by fear. The vast majority of Americans are happy with our “capitalist” system. In order for them to be able to stir up/cause unrest. they need a major (totally unprecidented) disaster to befall us. The only thing (outside of a nuclear war) that would cause this is the total mass destruction of the paper backed money system. This isn’t a single countrys money going into hyper inflation, they have set up a system where they will all hyper inflate, at the same time.
      Always in the past a single currency would hyper inflate, but those around it wouldn’t, since the ones in the other countries were gold backed. Now our fearless leaders have almost all currencies backed by paper. One goes, they all go. That is why they have been scrambling to keep it together.

      Beck is right, store food. Becks is wrong: non-violence is a pipe dream.

Being that he has access to “insider” information directly from Obama and Obama’s court I would think it unwise to down play this man s words in any way.If Wiki-leaks comes out with info on Bank of America, and it is catastrophic then our Stock market would tank, as it would the passage of the tax breaks resulting in the Obama tax hikes.

They are attempting to destroy the dollar, or to cause massive devaluation of the dollar. This will cause mass unemployment, hunger and fear.       He is an idiot who plays to mostly small groups.. yes they could be dangerous but I highly doubt if they are.. see we STILL out number them.. while he talks about immigrants and being diverse he means are ILLEGALS from MEXICO mostly.. when the illegals started out marching and people seen just how many there wore the junk hit the fan.. the following year even LESS showed up and last year was their sparsest year yet .. and that was with them being given free rides and food to go to the march.. they KNOW the citizens are fed up with not just them but with the politicians who side with them over us.. the ONLY place I see a lot of hostile illegals in in CA but that is a world unto itself..

      we dont need to go after the whole snake you just cut its head off. and there is more than enough of us true freedom loving americans to surround that whole capital and demand the rest surrender to the law. if they want a war let them start it we will be in our rights to meet that threat with as much or more force. cause if they think we are just going to let this happen jones is sadly mistaken and so is anyone else who thinks americans are going to just sit back.

      Why is he allowed to preach sedition? This goes beyond freedom of speech. I want to know what kind of parents allow their kids to attend this kind of brain washing? Did you not teach them any thing? Or amybe they are just a chip off the old block? Why is Jones not charged with inciting violence? If Bush said half what Jones or Obama either says the ouit cry would be long and loud in all the Lame Stream Media. My biggest gear is The left will start their violence and Obama will use it to delay the 2012 elections jsut like many other countries with Dictators do. Obama is one small step from being a dictator. He just gets his Radical czars to regulate or writes Executive Orders to by pass Congress.

      Van Jones would like to push is agenda for civil unrest But the American people aren’t buying into it.
