Van Jones Somewhat Retracts Libertarian ‘Bigots’ Statement After Confronted by…Russia Today

Van Jones challenged to answer for his Libertarian comments.
The Blaze was the first to report on the stunning remarks made by Obama Czar Van Jones at an Occupy Rally over one week ago in Los Angeles. At the time, he blasted Libertarians saying they hate, among other things, “brown folk.” But everyone must, at times, answer for the things they say, and Jones is now retracting, sort of, his Libertarian criticism from his speech, “All In For The 99%”.
Here’s the full quote from his earlier remarks: “They say they’re Patriots but they hate everybody in America who looks like us. They say they love America but they hate the people, the brown folk, the gays, the lesbians, the people with piercings, ya know, ya’ll.”
Not surprisingly, that made Libertarians none-to-happy. Mike Riggs, associate editor at Reason magazine, suggests Mr. Jones has perhaps a case of mistaken identity:
See, it’s Barack Obama who supports “traditional marriage”; Barack Obama who supports a drug war that sends an alarming number of black men to prison and destroys their employment prospects; Barack Obama who supports a foreign policy that kills children; Barack Obama who supports regulatory barriers that require the poorest of the poor to borrow their way into the workforce; Barack Obama who supports an immigration strategy that rips apart families and sees the children of undocumented workers put up for adoption.
So on Monday night, Alyona Minkovski of Russia Today’s Alyona Show confronted Jones about his controversial comments. He quickly walked them back.
“Well hey, listen, I think we have to start punching back an start fighting back. Here’s the deal, if you can’t take it, don’t dish it out,” he told Minkovski. He then hedged: “Now that statement I made was overly broad.” But Minkovski didn’t let Jones posture away so easily.
“But is that extremist? Because you call people extremists who go after you for your political views,” she sniped.
Jones, the Yale-educated attorney responded, “Well, well listen– but that’s, that’s American politics. Ya know, I mean, you guys should know that. American politics people– we mix it up. I’ve never backed down from a fight over ideas. I’m tired … of a certain section of people acting like they have having a monopoly on patriotism. They don’t. … And so now I’m saying, ‘two can play that game if you want to.’”
He then admitted, “That statement was overly broad. … I should have said the ‘so-called libertarians who identify themselves with with this sort of ultra-right wing camp.’ Because there are libertarians that don’t have those views.”
Perhaps feeling like he had lost some ground, Jones finished his argument with an accusation that some libertarians he met once did not like Dr. Martin Luther King because they wanted more segregation.
“I’ve met libertarians who say that Dr. Martin Luther King, Dr. King, is somebody they can’t support because someone should have the right to exclude people in this country from being able to go into a restaurant, or go into a hotel, or go into a place of business solely based on the color of their skin.” [Emphasis added]
It’s almost like it puts him back at square one. Watch the interview below:

Russians lived the hell that we are only now discovering is upon us. The secret manipulators, those who have infested our schools and poisoned our children’s minds with collectivist garbage first brought their terror on the Russians. Russians are bold and strong people, just like the best Americans. And given their strength, they are the prime target for those who hate good.
I have no problem with Russian views on things since it is a view that comes from a perspective post hell on earth in Russia. Now, if Russians can regenerate their families, their faith in Christ, their faith in liberty and their faith in fighting evil, we can knock these undermining bass-terds out. Good people can use might to squash evil. Evil like that which resides in our highest political offices.

The infinite corruption that started still under Yeltsin and then grown out of all boundaries, has “tuned” Russians against Democrats (Russian Democrats supposed to represent a positive basis, as opposed to Commies) and all reforms.
Thus, many started dreaming of a “firm hand” that could eradicate corruption and infinite lawlessness.
Such a mindset, obviously wrong one, helped to bring Putin to ascend the throne.
But now, a significant part of Russia, including provinces( which is very important), has began waking up, slowly but surely.
So, not everything is univocal in Russia.
Marxism, Socialism, and Communism of all kinds are a very poisonous and addictive substance.
That’s why I am so upset witnessing how that contagion is penetrating into blood and gyri cerebri (brain convolutions) of Americans.

I read a lot of foreign news outlets some times you have to hold your nose because of their own propaganda but there is a great deal to learn from these outlets. Some media talking heads dismiss RT as a conspiracy site or Russian spin but there is a a lot stuff there that is happening that officials in this country don‘t want the media here to talk about particularly Sheriff Joe’s investigation.

Sure there are the van jones type out there, but the number of blacks educated enough to make “political theory” a topic of conversation, are far and few in between. Most don’t know “sic ‘um from sit!” I’ve talked to various and random black MEN, and can tell you that they uniformly reject any notion that Obama is communist or socialist…I attribute the denial of the obvious, to blind loyalty and a sense in the belief that white people are racist and will do anything to “get” obama. There is very little critical thinking applied to the subject.

Blacks might not be “socialists” in terms of adhering to a certain political ideology, but there is a vast segment of the black population that is agreeable to taking other people’s money, property, stuff out of vengence and payback.
Blacks have been taught since infancy that whitey has kept them down and that whitey thinks blacks are inferior. So they hate. When one hates another, he can rationalize taking from the one he hates, or subjugating the one he hates. It’s payback time for many blacks. There has been seething hate in their ranks for generations.
Much of it is based on myth. Think about it; if blacks can go for a made up religion like Kwanza to show their independence, why wouldn’t they buy into stories of white hate??? There is a deep, psychological disturbance in blacks that won’t be rectified by discussion or reason.

It has been argued that his teacher, Mises, was an elitist with fascist tendencies. This part of libertarian history is a part that the libertarians would like to cover up. Report Post »If Murry wanted to separate races…then it would be a voluntary (support your right) to identify with your own race kinda separation. He may/may not be a racist, but if he’s a true Libertarian then he supports other races rights to segregate themselves from other races. Its about freedom of choice, its about making your OWN decisions…this is LIBERTARIAN. Free to do WHATEVER you want, so long as it does not affect others liberties. Got it? Yeah I doubt it.

I believe that people’s physical wellbeing, property, and human rights should be protected (general consensus among both groups). I am assuming that time_2 might want to include law to protect people from hurting themselves (“legalize drugs”). Aha! So the difference between the two groups is their answer to the following: Do individuals have the right to hurt themselves? I believe Yes. . . so I guess I’m libertarian.

No racial preferences, which in the end means, to the non-white and liberal white racists, that blacks are being oppressed when in fact they are being treated with respect by having the same standards applied to them equally.
Equality means adhering to the same standards which apply to all. When blacks fail against the standard, the multitude of racists in their ranks, along with liberal whites, cry racism. The only way blacks today have a shot at dignity is through double-standards, which is in the end racist. Libertarians expect the same of blacks that they do of whites. This is deemed racist; something I see you doing.

I am not a racist by any means, but I absolutely believe that a business owner should be able to deny service to anybody at any time for any reason, including their race, religion, sex, or sexual orientation. Businesses are property and people should be able to do with their property what they wish.
And let’s be honest here; if this was allowed how widespread would it actually be? I would argue that it would be relatively rare, as it accomplishes nothing more than taking money out of the business owner’s pocket by limiting his pool of potential customers.

What business does federal government have in telling you who you will or will not do business with? If its YOUR private property, and its YOUR business, government should have NO say in who you choose to do business with. The small-minded might argue that supporting someone’s right to deny service to gay people is homophobic, or that supporting someone’s right to deny service to women is sexist, or that supporting someone’s right to deny service to black people is racist, but they are wrong. Sex, gender, and religion are not the issues. They are completely incidental. The issue is allowing people to use their personal property as they see fit.
Now, that’s not to say that denying service to blacks, for example, isn’t racist; because it is. But supporting someone’s right to be racist is not racist.
John Stossel explained it pretty clearly in an interview he did with Megyn Kelly a couple years ago.
