Posted on November 23, 2010 at 7:23pmGlenn states in his radio program today (Tues, Nov. 23rd) that he thinks that antagonizing TSO‘s is not good because he says that it’s making them consider regular citizens “the enemy” and after they are unionized they will be part of the “union brownshirts” (my term) when the “go-signal” is given for takeover.
I love Glenn and agree with most of his theories & conclusions, but here I must disagree. The idea that the TSA and the TSO’s considering regular citizens as the enemy, as well as the coming unionization and their possible use as brownshirts has already sailed. Those things already have been occurring and will continue to progress.
The only thing we can really do outside of purely political pressure (which will likely be ignored as much as possible) is to make it so undesirable to be a TSO doing groin-checks that those they have now quit, and make it so they will be unable to hire enough groin-checking TSOs at any pay to accomplish their goals.
I‘m sure that the Nazi soldiers that had to haul out Jews from the rubble of the Warsaw ghetto didn’t like the body odor or getting their uniforms soiled with bits of skull & brain matter when they shot them in the back of the head either. I don’t think the Nazis were any kinder to Jews that were deferential and respectful to the soldiers.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 7:39pmI guess it’s a possibility that giving a TSO a hard time will deter them from working there, but they have kids’ mouths to feed too.

Posted on November 24, 2010 at 12:29pmI read an intellengence report that basically intimated that if the U.S. and South Korea were to attack North Korea that the war would be over in 3 days. One day for the war and the other two days to try to stop laughing. North Korea’s military strategy is the same as the former Soviet Union. Mass large amounts of troops and supplies and overwhelm the enemies defences. Most of North Korea’s artillery and troop concentrations are along the DMZ. Drop a few Neutron Bombs which only kill humans to soften em up. Let the F-22 Raptors and the F-35 JSF‘s take out their air to air and slip the B1’s and B52′s through the hole. They’ll never see it coming. What we need is another “Patton.“ ”If I found myself with China on one side and North Korea on the other, I’d attack in both directions.” And taking out China has the added bennies of wiping the slate clean on our debt. Sounds like a win win scenario to me.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 7:02pmI think if we call for talks and “strongly condemn” these actions, it will be resolved. If that doesnt work, then we need to REALLY condemn it and consider sanctions. If it persists, we should REALLY, REALLY put our foot down and condemn it for a second time. Then we can demand to sit down and talk. That’ll stop this nonsense.

Whenever I think about how much of us China owns and how barry’s just going to sit with his thumb up his a#!, and how much the progressives have damaged us already, all I can think is how very careful we have to be to get this right in the ensuing years- there is just no room to eff it up.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 5:45pmObama is the Barney Fife of US foreign policy. As with Iran, he just sits there with the political effectiveness of sucking on his thumb and wetting himself. He is far more then just an unending embarrassment to the office of the presidency – making even Jimmy Carter look competent by comparison; He is as useful as a blind man at the helm of rudderless ship, in a violent storm. Remember the Iran hostage crisis when Carter – the worldwide laughing stock- was in charge? 52 hostages were held for 444 days, then just MINUTES after Reagan was sworn in as president, they were released! Because the Iranians feared Reagan and laughed at Carter.
Unfortunately, no one fears Obama, the teleprompter reader, a man who is better suited to be a game-show host, giving out wads of cash (ours) to gushing sycophants.
We need a Reagan to take charge and soon.

A lot of South Korea’s equipment is, well, ours. South Korea has one of the largest Navies in Southeast Asia. Japan’s is even larger, so China and North Korea might want to think about that. They might not have to worry about us getting involved because obummer has no balls, but they should worry about South Korea and Japan. Japan is not going to allow China and North Korea to cut them off from us and the rest of the world.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 8:34pmAbsolutely right Sailor,
Reagan knew “peace through strength”. Korea has been testing Obama from day 1. Nuclear reactors, missile tests, sinking of sub and now this. They clearly are hoping for some reaction from us. Why? Perhaps to fire up a war to give them an excuse to nuke Seoul. Who cares why, give them what they want, WAR, and this time finish the damn thing. China won’t arm the north and will secretly be happy to have that nut job Kim Ill out of the neighborhood.
As you said, others are watching, this must be answered. Even if there could be nukes at play, which I doubt and think is a bluff. If we fail to act this time then let’s just bring home the 40,000 troops, give the South a couple of nukes just in case and call it a day.

Posted on November 23, 2010 at 9:47pmgemini, your observations are not complete.
While Obama is, essentially, a pacifist (what’s wrong with that) our Nation is in no way in a position to take on China via the North Korean proxy. Which is what this all boils down to.
The attack by NK today does not reflect Obama‘s weakness nor China’s strength but; moreover, the power struggle that is now going on in North Korea, the worlds ONLY necrocracy, between the already dead president (Kim Il-sung), the dying leader (Kim Jung-Il), the 27 year-old heir Kim Jung-un and the militant factions of the military gung-ho on whatever crazy ideas they have. Coupled with the depravity of the entire country’s structure and social order.
The fluster cuck of NK is entering a new phase. A phase that, I think, will lead to either total implosion of NK or total war in the region.
I don’t think Obama has done anything wrong yet in handling this situation.

Posted on November 24, 2010 at 4:28pmI disagree with the idea that we are facing WWIII because of the artillery incident between the 2 Koreas. This one of a continuing series of probes. There are several players involved here in what is really a test by the PRC of the West and its Asian allies. Unlike the first Korean War, the UN in these provocations is entirely impotent. Kim-il Sung appealed to his PRC sponsor that he could complete an invasion of the South in 2 weeks. He was allowed to pull the trigger, and he was nearly right. But his failure to do that was so complete that the PRC may have lost close to one million men when they were forced to enage by MacArthur. China can forecast with reasonable certainty that the U.S. will just watch, but the South will not be surprised again. If N. Korea finds a serious weakness – which is doubtful – they could attack without the PRC’s support. That is unlikely. So far the provocations are peripheral. The PRC’s real desire is to take Taiwan, and to prove itself the dominant power in Asia. The Chinese lost their first opportunit by the failure of the North in the first war. Despite its push into hegemony, the PRC‘s patience since the 50’s continues. It will accept a longer timeline to expand its power, but its pressure will increase. The probes by its client will continue. The PRC is surrounding Taiwan economically – and also developing an effective blue-water Navy. Their preference is for a Sudetenland, but if a move on Taiwan goes hot, count on the North to make its move then. South Korea’s survival depends more on the U.S. response to a threat to Taiwan.
