Video: College Student Has a ‘Freakout’ in the Library During Finals Week

Video has gone viral of an apparently stressed-out college student yelling at her peers in a “freakout” in the library during final examinations week.
The unidentified woman is an Asian student at California State University Northridge in Los Angeles, according to local CBS affiliate KCBS-TV.
It’s not clear what started the confrontation, but the video starts with the student walking away angrily until someone tells her, “Okay this isn’t a scary movie, you need to calm your dramatic ass down.”
She turns around and comes back, leaning over a table and whispering angrily, “Don’t tell me that. It’s rude and disrespectful, OK? It’s finals right now. Please, respect!”
As she walks away, those whom she was addressing jeer at her, and the first voice says, “Oh hell no.”
She turns back, crosses her arms and heads back over. “What’s wrong with you? What is wrong with you? What is wrong with all of you?” she asks, waving her hands in a circular motion, gesturing to everyone else in the library. “What is wrong with all of you?”
“You’re being louder than all of us,” someone says.
“I am not being louder than you, am I?” she screams. “Am I talking like this? Can you please just stop talking?”
She continues shouting and is heard slamming her books on her desk before the video ends.
The video, posted Dec. 7, has been viewed more than 54,000 times and generated more than 500 comments, many of which have a racial edge. Still other comments come to the girl’s defense, saying she was clearly egged on:
Come on grow up. You are a bully for instigating this girl and even more so for putting this up here. Do you want to ruin this girl’s life? You are mean. Take this off, if you have any sort of dignity. It’s sickening that you want us to enjoy this.
Maybe you should take finals a little more seriously. If you aren’t going to be studying, Get out and talk at a coffee shop! its that easy.

They both take basic easy classes, and never flunk becasuse of their skin color.
Who Flung Poo is paying her way through school, has the highest grades in math and science and will work in the medical field one day, and be the one percent and pay outlandish taxes, to support the illegitimate children that Lashonda Tomika have after laying up with Tyrone and Jamal.

Dont forget the 12 kids that Lashonda and Tamika each have that “somebody need to pay fo’ ” fathered by 12 different baby daddy‘s who will agree that the taxpayers need to pay fo’.
There is also the social welfare funds that Tamika and Lashonda will be getting while they are “working” for ACORN making sure underage prostitutes can apply their trade in the saftey of a house.
Lets not forget the 24 kids that will be clogging emergency rooms every time Lashonda and Tamika do not want to cook dinner or get a cold or better yet, to get pills to support mommys oxycodone habit.

She said she longs for the days when people were quiet & respectful in the library. Just as this young lady, her nerves are shot too. Some take an education seriously. Some are bullies who don’t know, or care, that others have rights. What ever happened to the “Marm” who would come down on you like a ton of bricks if you didn’t behave in her library?

I used to use their computers on occasion when I was there looking for a book or movie and have had mothers with babies sit down beside me while her kid was screaming the whole dam time and if the security guards try to discipline anyone the rest of the goons turn on them to and many of them have cell phones and they seem to want you to hear every fn word they speak , not to mention they all seem to have this gawd awful noise they call ring tones turned up so the whole friggin library can hear it. One young mother had her small child in the friggin school resource center and the kid was acting up so the attendant tried to kick them out and of course the mother had a hissy fit and was screaming she had a right to be in the library (even with her rotten crying child) some jerks have no respect for other humans at all, but that is the norm for the society we live in these days.

She’s probably one of the ones who HAS to maintain a 4.0 grade point average (out of 4.0) in order to stay in college while the others can get by with less, because there are too many Asians who actually take college seriously. She was heard telling them she wasn’t loud? I have to admit, I only read the article and didn’t watch the video, but it sounds like she was goaded into a reaction just for footage. When I went to college in the early 80′s, I studied, I went to SCHOOL. I didn’t join any sororities (however you spell that, it’s early for me here), I didn’t go to drinking parties. I was carrying 17-19 hours at a time, I didn’t have time for anything else.

I was in our local library one day order materials through interlibrary loan when my son called to say that the contractor we had expected to come with a custom repaired window had arrived and he wasn’t sure whether to let him in or not. Well, I was escorted out the of the library by two staff members. I stood out there for about two seconds while my son handed the phone to the contractor, who explained that the newly repaired window had come in early, so he stopped by to see if he could get it installed. No problem on my part! However the library staff was really snotty about it and told me I shouldn’t take calls in the library.
Two weeks later, I was picking up some materials at the library when my phone went off again. The desk staff glared at me. It was my son who informed me that the fire alarms were going off in the building that we live in because one of the neighbors had scorched a batch of popcorn in the microwave. He couldn’t remember the code to disarm them. One of the staff muttered something under her breath about people who take phone calls in the library, so I turned the thing on speaker so they could hear the fire alarms going off. I looked at them and said, “I guess that’s not an emergency in your eyes.” turned around and walked out. I later got an apology.

I agree. I remember trying to put in mandatory hours in an English lab I had to attend. Studying in there was impossible. It was just a big social event for C- students.
By the way, don’t mind UNIX. He probably didn’t go to college because of his grades or he was just to lazy.

Posted on December 9, 2011 at 6:56pmI have friends who went to Cornell up in NY and it is a fact that the security has to be on ‘bridgewatch’ (Cornell has a lot of gorges in the area and scenic bridges) for the midterms and finals when the pressure gets too high. A lot of these kids are engineering students coming from families who will not accept failure. So it’s either return home with an failing grade or jump to your death. Look it up if you don’t believe me. I feel bad for these kids because somehow, there’s always a second chance.

Report Post »I used to work in a place (over 4 years) with about 100 young college-aged women (almost no men in the area) and I’ve seen this sort of thing a hundred times. The other girls tend to rally behind one main girl bully, usually the head of a clique, and verbally abuses loners -what appeared to be- almost every day.
I was older than most of the workers there and my bosses thought I was the best worker, so they did the same thing to me. For me, they wanted to remove the competition – make the best worker look bad any way they could. I’ve seen them attack other girls simply for being prettier, uglier (basically for anything that makes another stand out)… it’s pathetic and sad that young adults today behave more like I would have expected 8 to 14 year olds to behave 35 years ago.

Posted on December 9, 2011 at 9:05pmYou obviously haven’t spent much time in a college library in the last 10 years or so. Librarians are tucked away in offices, or they are on the main floor only and basically help with research – they do not police behavior in the library at all.
Report Post »I actually have been a student at this school for 8 years – I also work in the library. As a student, this library sucks on ice during midterm and finals week. Students treat common study areas like a public study hall – get together with groups and do review sessions, etc. I finally got a repose from this once I was a graduate student – there are awesome study rooms that are available to grad students only, and they are very quiet. Before that I never “studied” in the library – unless I had noise canceling headphones on.

Everyone is trying to study and the loud mouths at the table she is approaching have been disrespecting the others in the library trying to study. They think it is funny that their behavior has caused her to be irritated. I just wish some others in that room would have had some backbone to support her.

Why are you and the majority of the people here “guessing” or “a s s uming” what happened to lead to her outburst. MAYBE that’s what happened, but until there is PROOF, isn’t it “innocent until proven guilty” in the USA?
Until more comes out on this story…nobody here knows what happened for sure.

I remember taking a tech exam at college during the later spring in a building without air conditioning. Couldn’t concentrate with the street preacher standing in the Quad telling us that we were all going to go to hell as loud as he could. I don’t know if he was inspired by God or the bottle in the brown paper bag. He was a regular fixture.
Go ahead make noise. Life is like a bunch of chocolate. You never know what you might get.

We were the best in the world until business decided we were making too much money.
Then the business lobby had the policitians to ignore the laws of OUR land and have essentially forced multi-racials into OUR culture unwanted and unenvited by the majority of CITIZENS.

Lincoln only had 6th grade so enough with the master education. All you get is how to apply for handouts and how to block the growth of America with a Marxist degree of advancing to the rear as fast as you can.
Just think all of those illegal aliens come here not having attended elementary and suck on our money and space for free everything. Then waaaa if they cant have it today
