Video: Former TSA Agent So Upset With ‘Intrusive’ Patdown She Gives One to Old Supervisor — and Gets Arrested

At least one TSA supervisor at Florida’s Southwest International Airport seemingly has different standards for herself, and for everyone else.

After Carol Price, a former TSA employee, went through the security line on April 20 and was given a thorough pat-down, she went over to Kristen Arnberg, her former supervisor, to complain about what she felt was “intrusive touching of her genitals and breasts.”

Price’s lawyer says that the supervisor asked Price what she meant by “intrusive,“ so Price ”demonstrated” on her.

The two did not get along when they worked together through 2007, reports indicate, and now Arnberg is alleging Price “intentionally and without consent [grabbed] the victim and [slid] her hands into the crotch area.”

See more security footage of the ironic incident via ABC:

After demonstrating the TSA pat-down Price tried to walk to her flight, ignoring a police officer’s instructions to stay in the area.  She was consequently arrested for battery and resisting an officer, and is due to appear in court on July 2 for the misdemeanor battery charges.

Price’s lawyer says they have received three plea offers, and have turned down each one.

“She doesn‘t feel like she’s done anything wrong, and I agree with her,” he said.

Kate Hanni, the director of FlyersRights.org, commented that TSA screening is “the most degrading, undignified process,” and that we really ought to reevaluate who we are hiring and what training they receive.

The TSA maintains: “The pat down was conducted correctly in accordance with our procedures. Violence against our officers who work every day to keep the traveling public safe is unacceptable.”

“Violence against our agents won’t be tolerated.”

So that’s what it is is? Violence? Thanks for clarifying. I suppose there’s something in the Constitution allowing the govt. to commit violence against peaceful citizens, especially children? As a part of the normal duties of an agent’s job?

my thoughts exactly, how is a pat down an act of violence on a TSA agent and just a minor incovience on the airport patrons.

TSA agents need to be exposed online!
Most of these “officers”( a term used lightly in this case) are crooks themselves.
While I’m very pro-cop these people aren’t in the same categorie.
Report their names and home addresses, phone# online.

    Bureaucratic Newspeak.

In other words our procedures are correct because… well their written down right here… See they exist therefore they are correct.

I have been through TSA pat-downs at least a dozen times – the procedure has always been explained to me in advance, and the patting of private areas has always been done with the back of the hand – it is sheer fantasy to calls these pat-downs intrusive groping. It’s very simple – if you don’t want to go through security procedures, don’t fly – flying is a privilege, not a right.

Hey Tri ox please read the 4th amendment. These are unwarrented searches, they are intrusive and have no basis, they are extremely intimidating in their nature and need to be stopped and the TSA disbanded immediately. Have you seen old ladies in wheel chairs taken to the back rooms for pat downs, I have, have you seen little girls and boys touched, I have. Do they look like the terrorist profile that has purported these crimes, no, are these people on the no fly list, no. Every one of us have a profile, just check yours out on the internet. The gov‘t has everything about us they need to know they don’t need to touch my private parts or anyone elses to prove they are keeping us safe, I don’t feel any safer, I feel safe knowing there are folks around me on that plane that are willing to stop any sort of act from happening as civilian folks have since 9-11 and during 9-11. “Death by a thousand cuts”….

I disagree. Flying is my prerogative in free America. Intrusive ‘screening’ and pat-downs of an innocent American citizen is an over-reach of my freedom and sovereignty. As is everything else the government is dictating to me of what I can and cannot do; ‘buckle up’, ‘wear a helmet’, ‘how many electrical outlets I have to have on my bedroom wall’…. These are personal decisions that I must make for myself, and I’ll live with and deal with the consequences of my choices. It‘s not the government’s business, responsibility or right to decide for me.

No rationality applied…. some little child of 3 years of age groped and scared…see it all the time…Seniors having to take apart their J pouch, or urine bags to prove their are not terrorists. This agency needs to be done away with and professional screeners brought in. Racial profiling works in Israel, they check out your status, and your behavior patterns.

and what exactly ARE the TSA’s procedures? What constitutes “correct” screenings and who exactly is a threat in the eyes of our government? Why are these guidelines not clearly displayed on the screening lines? Transparency won’t give the terrorists any power.

Stating that the former agent committed “an act of violence” against her, this TSA supervisor has admitted that the TSA “patdowns” are a violent act and therefore, all TSA agents should be charged and prosecuted for police (government) brutality.

I’ve already adopted that policy. My brother in law and his wife fly at least once a year to the Netherlands (where she is from). She said every single time she has flown internationally, she gets “randomly” selected for the pat down. i think I’m getting to her. She used to say whatever it takes to keep her safe, but this last time she made the comment when they said that it was a random selection…she said it’s funny how every single time she has flown internationally she has been selected. She said the TSA agent’s eyes got real big.
