Well, well, well…. Someone from MediaMatters descends on this site to try and discredit it. Nice try…. What? No one to talk to over there or are you tired of posting comments back and forth to the two ACTUAL members of that crap hole?

Sharpton is the antithesis to MLK and he tries to lay claim to continuing his dream. Nothing could be further from the truth! One wonders if Sharpton and those of his ilk have ever listened to MLK’s speeches? I think we live in bizarro world!

All you have to do is look at places in this country where Blacks have it the worst (Detroit, Chicago etc etc) and you’ll find several decades of uninterrupted Democratic representation at the local, and congressional level. I pray for Blacks to open their eyes to this sickening exploitation that robbed them of MLK’s beautiful dream and replaced it with a new form of slavery.

Why do all these race baiters always hide behind the Rev. label? Jackson, Wright, Sharpton, they are all the same. I watched Sharpton on O’Reily last night and he just tripped all over himself, he sounded like Sen Kerry, I said it before I said that and then I really didn’t say it because what he said was really what I meant to say and that is what I said. You can see right thru this fool and all the others like him.

Sharpton is out to destroy MLK. How can any one group claim or in Sharpton’s words “Reclaim the Dream”. By definition, for the Dream to become reality, it must be everyones’ Dream. Black, White, Yellow or Red. If Blacks claim it, then the Dream will always be just a Dream, or a fairytale.

What I find disgraceful, is that Blacks have been enslaved by Progressive Government for years–thanks to public programs like welfare, WIC, public housing (projects) etc…NOW it’s just past progressivism on STEROIDS! The message we have to get out…is that BIG Government entitlements, yes even Social Security are just passive means of slavery for ALL Americans, regardless of race. Why can’t the black community see this? Why can’t they see that they are still being enslaved in record numbers? Why can’t they see through the lies?

Cyndiindy: you ask a very good question. As an African American I am trying to help others understand how many Blacks see the world. I think their thinking is often wrong but there are very few leaders in the community who will speak truth. I have a new blog, http://www.blackquillandink.com which exists to try to provide the Black community with truth. I hope you visit it sometime. I have written several articles on the issue that you raise. Take care.

Brothers and Sisters of the Fire,

Let us not fall victim to one of the adversary’s most effective ploys — resentment and anger. Let us not answer racism and hate with strident words and more resentment. Let us simply shake our heads and do what Alveda would do — feel sorrow for these, our fellow citizens, who have been blinded by their emotions; by fear and by anger. Let reach our or hand to them, and if not accepted, let us turn back to the light and march forward, for there is a great deal still left to do.

It really is amazing at the amount of racism coming from places firmly entrenched in the left’s ideology and so little coming from the right. But, if you turn on the mainstream news you’ll hear that the Tea Party is racist, Glenn Beck’s followers are racist and that the NAACP and Rev. Sharpton and Jackson are saints. At this point in time how can the NAACP NOT be racist? Any organization that has a goal of solely advancing and helping just one race has to be racist. Imagine if someone started the National Association for the Advancement of White People. Jesse and Al would be on the TV in a nanosecond to scream racism just based on the name alone.

It is 2010 and we have a black man in the highest office in the land, some might argue the highest office in the world before he took over and started bowing and apologizing to the rest of the world. We should be so far beyond race now, and most folks on the right appear to be beyond it. It‘s the left that can’t seem to move beyond it and recognize that we have come a far way in America. It‘s sad really to see them use such a topic strictly for political gain but that’s just what they’re doing.

I think he’s the only one who does consider him a religious man. I’d like to know what gives him the right to put “Rev” before his name. Never heard of him having a church or a congregation, or come to think of it, doing ANYTHING except rabble rousing and trying to instigate unrest and hatred. He’s going to have to answer to God for all that. It will really stink to be him…

As long as Al Sharpton, Malik Shabazz, and a Democratic Congress keep their people locked into life in the inner cities, their children are doomed. Very Sad!

Was watching red eye last night poke fun at the lamestream media for universially charecterizing the 8-28 audience as “overwhelmingly white”. Who’s fault is that? Glenn Beck’s when he repeatedly reaches out to Black Americans to join him or “Reverend” Al’s for shrilly carping his lies about whites trying to “denigrate” MLK’s vision. It’s truly sad that 47 years later you have an “overwhelmingly white” crowd cheering MLK’s memory like a rock star and the hacks in the media give this race baiting huckster a platform?

Al Sharpton is nothing more than a cartoon charachter. If anyone takes him seriously including Bill O’Rielly on his show when calling him a “stand up guy”, I think I’ll puke……

O’Reilly has gone soft. Seems like he doesn’t want to rock the boat and report the real news. Stopped watching him after he said he looked Obama in the eye and believed him when he said he never heard any hate speech from Jeremiah Wright. I lost respect for Bill O’Reilly right then and there. And now you say he has called Sharpton “a stand up guy” validates that point even more.

Anyone that gives Al Sharpton a soap box is part of his act; Bill O’Reilly is an entertainer like Don King Sharpton, and should be treated as such. These idiots only have the stature we give them, and are unworthy of even being discussed by any intelligent society.

Al Sharpton, along with Jessie Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, and Malik Zulu Shabazz, is an embarrassment to the “African-American” race. When will American-born Blacks realize this and denounce these fools? Do they now see how much these men disgrace their race each time they open their mouths? It really gets me laughing each time they open their mouths and attempt to speak as a highly educated scholar yet stumble over themselves trying to use the biggest words they can imagine. They are sound like very poor imitations of Don King.

Racists stir up hate so that they can get the publicity, power and money. Has anyone ever heard such hate as the likes of Sharpton and other so called ministers? With such representatives of God, little wonder our precious God loving heritage is so little observed.

“Reverend” Al Sharpton is a sad, bitter man and is to be pitied. I read an uplifting blog post this morning from a black man who stood with us at the 828 Rally. He described his experience as “a chocolate chip in a big sugar cookie”. I love that analogy. Here is a link to the post: http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=38767
Everyone in America is waking up to racial politics. Al’s days are numbered.

I went to your post. How wonderful. I think more blacks will see, we Americans are color blind. We want people to just be folks. You can be my friend if you are asian, black, native american, pakistani, puerto rican or any other race. It is your personality that I will befriend, if you are a friend in return. More will begin to see that the solution isn’t neighborhoods that are all white, all black, all italian, all anything. We can have neighborhoods where our neighbors are friends.
