Video: Hillary Clinton’s Convoy Gets Paint-Bombed in the Philippines

A convoy carrying U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was met with protesters while traveling through the Philippines Wednesday. Video of the clash near the Philippine presidential palace shows that reported anti-U.S. protesters threw red paint at cars in the convoy:
The BBC reports that the 50 to 60 protesters were expressing discontent towards legislation that allows U.S. troops in the Philippines to “avoid legal censure for any acts they might commit.” The BBC reports that the issue has been a “running sore” in the Philippines.
A photographer at the scene told AFP that the main group of cars turned around and took another route as Filipino riot police “swung their batons at the chasing protesters, who retreated.”
Dianne Marie Solmayor, spokeswoman of the Manila branch of the leftist youth group Anakbayan, told AFP that her group was responsible for the incident.
During a public forum with Clinton and Filipino officials shortly after the paint-bomb, an outburst was reportedly made by a demonstrator who carried a banner and shouted, “Dop VFA!” referring to the Visiting Forces Agreement. AFP writes that Clinton brushed off the protest and said that it was a sign that “people are unafraid to express themselves” in the Philippines.

Wasn’t it Hillary Clinton who laughed and said about Libya “We came, we saw, he died?” And, of course, there was not a word about it from our dhimmi government MSM! If Bush had said something like that regarding Iraq and Saddam Hussein, even though Saddam Hussein was handed to his Iraqi people to prosecute and he wasn’t sodomized and dragged through the street and slaughtered like Gadhafi (even though Gadhafi was a thug), he would have been crucified. But, of course, Hillary Clinton and her boss Obama gets a pass. Just like her husband, Bill Clinton, did for his nasty Bosnian War where he bombed the Christian Serb civilians with impunity and built a monument in Bosnia to the al Qaeda and Mujahedeen terrorist thugs with our taxpayer monies.

(nice target) We built a house over there many years ago for her mom and planned to retire and live in it ourselves one day (Pangasinan province). I felt safe on a Jan 2007 visit but I wouldn’t feel safe anywhere in the Philippines now. Ultimately, no place on earth is going to be safe for Americans, even America itself.

If they can’t see to drive, they are sitting ducks. I hope our boys are developing a defense for it. Maybe a film that can advance/roll across the window to expose a clean part… like the camera’s on race cars have.

Having spent some time in the PI and having direct experience with the legal hold process and how you might find yourself on it. For instance: A US military member is driving a US government vehicle when all of a sudden someone jumps out in front of them…on purpose! That person then sues the US government and that person is put on a legal hold status where they cannot leave the country until the matter is resolved. That person in the end may end up paying out of pocket for damages to break the stalemate that always ensues. Soldier desires the services of the local call girl but in the morning she tells police that the soldier stole her daimond studded alarm clock…guess what…your stuck again until you pay up. One more: Grave Oral defamation is a serious crime in the PI so if said serviceman utters a cuss word at someone your on legal hold. This happened all the time while I was there and the courts, lawyers make a business out of it.
