Video Justice: Car Czar Forced to Answer a Tough Series of Questions About the Beck-Exposed Video of His Mao Love

Back in 2009, the Glenn Beck program was the first major media outlet to air a clip of Ron Bloom, the Obama Administrations Car Czar, praising the violent tactics of Mao Zedong . Bloom is a senior official in the Obama Administration. No lightweight, his current duties include serving as Senior Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury, director of the President’s Task Force on the Automotive Industry and also the Administration’s Senior Counselor for Manufacturing Policy. Mr. Bloom has a long past as a labor negotiator and union lawyer working for the United Steelworkers union since the mid nineties. Early in his career he also worked for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

So when the video surfaced of this top White House official praising the Chinese communist, Beck used the clip to help build the growing narrative of Obama officials admiration of aggressive and oppressive governments. Of course it can often seem that these reveling details are lost in the fast moving news cycles and giant machinery of the bureaucratic system. Until recently when Congressman Connie Mack (R-FL 14) brought a little poetic justice to our political process during a late June hearing for Stimulus Oversight and Government Spending by asking Mr. Bloom a tough series of questions about the remarks he made in the video. Mack played the clips for Bloom as he awkwardly tries to explain them away.

      it makes no difference….we will see this no where else….beck is gone for public tv , and so is imformation that we can all use. We cannot follow beck on the internet.
      Most of the public will not fall back into not knowing what the heck is going on in our country, and the blaze is of little help. there is no longer a connection with each other here with your new reply button

      Do not despair, MILS. Looks like they are working on the “reply” situation.
      I, for one shall definitely be following Beck to his new format. I spend much time outside the US where I keep quite well-informed through the net. He’s a bit early (?) but he’s right: TV as we know it is on its way out. The TV game has become manipulative and propagandist– and is in the process of self-destructing.

      Question: What “minority” constitutes 2-3% of this country’s population yet a grossly over-represented number of Harvard graduates and government A-holes (via the Harvard -> D.C. sewer pipe line)? (And don’t they just love to tell the rest of us how to live our lives?)

    GO GLENN GO!!!! It‘s about time Obama’s Communist ties and his Communist appointees are exposed. Americans spent almost 60 years fighting Communism but now we are being subverted from the inside.

    True Socialism DOESN’T work. People are lazy and without a goal to try to attain (Usually monetary) they will shun their responsibilities. That was why the USSR failed. The Russian workers had a saying which summed it up: “The government pretends to pay us and we pretend to work.”

    Without the profit motive, America will follow the same path as the USSR.

    If only the press in the country wasn’t completely and thoroughly corrupt, the people would understand what’s going on and be able to make informed decisions. Politicians are corrupt by nature. The press is supposed to keep that in check by shining the light of truth. The corrupt press will be the death-nell for the USA if we cannot fix it.

      You are right on point…. The press is corrupt and is too powerful. They turned the public sentiment against Pres Bush, when the unemployment was UNDER 5% they were screaming about a recession, they had a daily death count in Iraq….they called him stupid…..they turned his public support into hatred….NOW there isn’t a peep from them….. and I’ve seen a lot more stupid in the last 2 1/2 years from this whole administration.

      God help us all in 2012. We have a lot of work to do together.

      The whole checks and balance system is flawed … our courts, which are supposed to be impartial, and abig part of th C&B system , have evolved into political power appointments with idealogical based decisions rather than the law based decisions they swore their oath to. It is not possible to be as far to the left as these people are, without breaking from our Constitution.

    We need to fill Congress with people like this who aren’t afraid to call out guys like Bloom that are running our country despite not liking what our country has been founded on and grown to such great power on, Liberty and the Free Market, not government intervention.       I was very pleased with Mr. Mack’s attempt to expose Bloom for what he truly is. Those of us living in Florida are very lucky to have a dynamic team of Reps now working for change. I speak of Connie Mack, Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and Allen West, who is my representative.

      To quote Congressman West:

      “The liberal progressive agenda is nothing more than a dishonest tyranny trying to reduce our citizens into subservient subjects of the bureaucratic nanny-state. The statist agenda is not about caring, it is about caretaking, and that is not in concert with our American principles. Therefore, as we go forward and we hear more about how Republicans hate women, how Republicans are not creating jobs, how Republicans are going to hurt Grandma….just see this for what it is, the diatribe of a losing philosophy which seeks enslavement, not empowerment- servitude and restraint, and not freedom and liberty.”

I wish more of our congress would question people like this instead of just giving in and saying that party won and they should have who they want– put the pressure on this administration to start having people serve all parties not just one– they serve America- not Democrats or Republicans– but Americans!!!

    Mr. Bloom is a Mao loving, labor union thug who has no business in our government. He knows exactly who hired him but refuses to say. He tried to joke his way out of Congressman Connie Mack’s questions but nobody believed he was kidding. He was serious as a heart attack. He needs to resign or be fired like Van Jones, Anita Dunn and all the rest of Obama’s hench-men. Obama is getting closer and closer to possible impeachment charges.

      You’re right. When I taught Elementary school, the kids would do the same thing. They would walk up and kick another kid, and then say, “I was just joking!”
      That lasted about two seconds with me. I would love to smash Bloom’s face and then say, “I was just joking!”
      Think it would work in the courtroom?
