Video of a white man being stripped and beaten outside what appears to the Baltimore courthouse has sparked outrage on the Internet.

CBS Baltimore reports the man was a tourist in town for St. Patrick’s Day, on his way back to the hotel after a night out.  He was intercepted on the way by a group of “hoodlums,” punched in the jaw and sent flying to the concrete with a sickening thud.

Then, instead of helping him, onlookers laughed and stripped him naked– stealing his car keys, watch, phone, and anything else of value.

The man allegedly woke up the next morning in his hotel room, with no idea what had happened the night before.  He had a black eye, scrapes and bruises all over his body, and was missing his Tag Heuer watch, iPhone, and the keys to his Audi. But he had no recollection of the event.

Soon after, however, a relative saw the video of him being abused on the Internet and showed it to him.  He has made contact with the police, but the identities of his suspected attackers have not yet been released.

    Is this why Martin Luther King marched, is this how we judge a man not by the color of his skin, but by the content of his character? Is this why we elected a black president? I see no difference in this crowd than the crowd of men who used to wear hoods. Does this make these people feel superior, and are they “getting even”? If this were a black man — the major news outlets would be treating this with such outrage — yet I bet you will not see this plastered on every “lamstream Mediat” outlets.

      Most sensible post that I have read on this story so far. Martin Luther King was assassinated only a handful of months before I started high school. So I remember well what was happening back then. It is definitely a shame to see the results now of what this man gave his life for.

      When Whites Quote MLK, I laugh. After all, MLK to the White ruling class was a Saint. He was the “Tamed N*gger”. The “Go to Guy” when us Negroes were angry and fed up with White Racism. He was the Front Man, the Black Man in White Face for the White Race. Everytime us Negroes gathered our Arms and Started retaliating, King was called in to give a Speech, often organized by the White Power Structure and the Church, to “Calm those unruly N*ggers Down”

A huge slap in the Face to every African American, if you ask me.

    That dude learned a lesson the hard way. Bet he is a liberal Democrat that thought he could have a good time in the jungle. He is lucky he woke up the next day. I would never walk around downtown Baltimore or D.C. when it goes dark–especially if you are white. Sorry, but it is the truth.

    My husband is black and we tell our kids to be careful of all the same things that man said for white people to be careful of. Some of the black kids my children went to school with didn’t like them because they did not act black enough. This is a cautionary tale on why you should not get drunk in the first place and then also why you should not go to a predominantly black area. We are black in my family and we follow that advice. Just like we would not go to a predominantly KKK area.

      I don’t care what color a person is – In life their is one thing everyone should worry about – ACCOUNTABILITY. Everyone will one day be judge for every word and deed in their life. If you don’t think you will – then go ahead sin like hell – do what feels good.

      If you believe that one day you will be judged by God – Stop it Now! and repent.

      A very reminder of God Judgement is happening now right out of the Bible. God said he would allow Satan to remove Lawlessness from the Earth.

      What does this mean – take this incident and imagine the same thing happening but much worst in ever square foot of of that entire city. That is Lawlessness – you can‘t imaging it and you certainly don’t want any part of it.

      God also promised, that he would not put his people through it – thank God I did not sell out my promise of eternity with my support of Obama. God warned us about turning our back on him – the first time Obama attacked Israel and the Church – should have been a CLEAR SIGN – RUN from this man – he is of his Father the Devil!

      Good Advice, but did you notice what you said? “… you should not go to a predominantly black area. We are black in my family and we follow that advice. Just like we would not go to a predominantly KKK area.

      Whites best not go in predominantly black areas, where blacks should avoid predominanlty KKK areas. Notice the difference? Predominanlty black areas are like predominanlty KKK areas…not predominanlty white areas.

      Yes I noticed what I said and I stand by it. I realize that it is badly skewed to the point where white people can’t go into a black neighborhood for fear of their life and not the other way around. Me being half white and half Puerto Rican can pass for either at times so I would not go in a black neighborhood and I am married to a black man. My husband would have a fit if I did. He does not go in black neighborhoods.

      As for places that are predominantly KKK, yes I know there aren’t really places like that. Just saying if there were I would not be going there. Who wants to go where they are not wanted or worse could be killed for the color of their skin?

    So this was St Patrick’s Day, right? March 17th, before the Trayvon Martin incident occurred. So what is THEIR excuse for acting like animals? Who is the racist? How is this not a hate crime?

    I remember telling someone before Obama was elected, “You watch, if he gets in office there is going to be all kinds disturbances.” Sometimes I’m smarter that I know.

    He’s not there anymore, so I’ll post this. Last Thursday, my youngest had a layover in Baltimore to Florida. He called me from the plane. Mom, tells me where he is, etc. Me? I said “Don’t Get Off the Plane!”.
    Baltimore is so rich in our Nation’s History. I’d love to go to Fort Mc Henry, but all be darn if I’m going to take my kids to Baltimore. Any of you going to take a trip to Detroit anytime soon??? lol

      Valerie – If he had been packing he would be dead now. He was drunk. They would have taken the gun and used it on him. Gun ownership requires personal responsibility, which this guy didn’t have, otherwise he wouldn’t have been drunk in that area wearing a pricey watch and driving an Audi. As others have said, he was probably a liberal who thought he was safe there because all that talk of black on white violence is just right-wing propaganda. I hope he learned some truth from his experience.
