New Video: See Congressman’s Groping Incident With the TSA

Two weeks ago, U.S. Rep. Francisco Canseco (R-Texas) claimed a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent got a little too touchy feeling during a pat down. The Blaze reported Canseco saying his pat down was done “very, very aggressively,” which resulted in him instinctively swatting the agents hand away from his groin area. From there, it was agent vs. Canseco in who assaulted who.

The agent patting Canseco called for backup, which held the representative for longer at the security checkpoint and resulted in a second pat down by another agent. Now, the TSA footage has been released and you can see the incident for yourself in this KENS 5 San Antonio news report:

What do you think? Was the agent patting a little too high up Canseco‘s leg at San Antonio International Airport April 25 or was the Congressman’s karate chop-like movement seen on film too aggressive? Granted, you can’t see the opposing point-of-view facing the TSA agent.

KENS 5 reports TSA did not want to comment on the incident but did say they had been contacted by the Congressman’s office and would be in communication with them directly. TSA’s statement went on to note that “once a passenger enters the screening process, they must complete it prior to continuing to a flight or secure area.”

In the report, Canseco says he believes he was targeted and does not view the request for a pat down after he had gone through the full body scanner as a coincidence.

In speaking with Joe “Pags” Pagliarulo — a nationally syndicated radio host based in San Antonio and fill-in for Glenn Beck — a couple weeks ago, Canseco said he believes the incident “calls to my attention what an egregious invasion of our privacy and our dignity is happening with TSA.”

    Lets face it. If your going to pat someone down for weapons or anything else you have to check their groin area do you not?
    I don’t like it but I understand that if myself and my family choose to fly we very well maybe patted down which will result in myself,my wife or my children having our groins inspected for weapons.
    Who doesn’t understand this?

      @JNOBFAN : T.S.A. has NOT made flying any safer. They MUST PROFILE and completely search ALL middle-eastern males aged 1 – 99 years old. Profile is NOT a dirty word. T.S.A. must also screen out ALL the perverts that work for them. If enough congressman and women are molested, they can make T.S.A. go away. My wife and I do not fly because it is not safe. Now the terrorists have perfected a nearly undetectable plastic body bomb. There are no more “ friendly skys ”.

      need to check every women privates. just one finger inserted up no more then 4 inches to be sure no weapons. you can’t be to sure. I’m know your children will understand about security. The metal detectors, xrays, body scanners, and now cavity searches next. How about profiling and be done with it. How many old people over 60 in the history of the airlines, attacked a airplane? Why are my 78 year old parents going to the body scanners and pat downs every time they fly. What a waste of manpower.       This should have been stopped the first day they started…if enough people had stood their ground and not used the x ray machine, then it would have slowed down the WORLD and this would not have flown.

      Amazing that Israel has been dealing with problem much longer than the US has and never found the need to grope someone’s grandmother, someone’s child, someone’s prosthetic breast, etc.

      Being as complete and necessary as their assaults, err searches, are, the TSA would have you believe that Israel has had hundreds of security lapses and in-flight incidents yet El Al is incident free and safe and granny, daughters, and women with prosthetic breasts have gone unmolested.

      Why don’t they just require people to fly naked? That ought to do it.

      We can get rid of the TSA. Every passenger will be assigned to keep an eye on everyone boarding. Any clothes and the FBI can jump their bones. No more burkas if you want to fly. No more turbines.

      I have seen videos of pat downs. You can‘t tell me you have to actually move the genitals or buttocks or breasts to see if there’s a weapon there. If they grab my boob enough to actually move it, you can bet I’ll Karate chop their hand away too. My sister-in-law is from the Netherlands and claims that she doesn’t have a problem with such a violation of person. Some Americans were steeped in too much freedom. YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO MOLEST ME TO “KEEP ME SAFE.” If I patted down anyone entering my house (in the name of keeping my family safe) like they pat down passengers on an airplane, I’d be arrested for molestation or assault. If more Americans felt this way, there wouldn’t be TSA pat downs.

      Even if this did happen to every senator and congressman and not just the enemies of liberalism would the aforementioned representatives have the power to stop it? Personally I don’t believe they do. They gave that authority to their lackeys (the TSA) and now as with all bureaucracies, Once the bureau is in place its creators have no more control over it. As far as I know not one bureaucracy has been dissolved since the early days of the republic when I think it was Madison got elected and disbanded all of them that were created up to that point.     There is no reason to harrass and grope every single person. That is stupid. The very fact that it might look like we are singling out a group make no difference to me. Little blonde haired 6 year old girls are not carrying bombs. Neither are old gray haired ladies. The TSA is groping everyone because it is part of a bigger plan.
