The synchronized fountains in Dubai along the Dubai Mall are paying tribute to Whitney Houston, playing her mega-smash “I Will Always Love You” from The Bodyguard. Five high-def cameras were used to record this salute to the late superstar singer.

It’s so sad that she had to die that way and at such a young age! I wish her daughter a good change in her life for the better! It goes to show that no one is immune from what drugs will do to your family members! It effected everyone around the whole world! What a great honor that she will always be remembered in our hearts as being one of the greatest singers of all time!

God bless and rest in peace! I wish her family a change for the better! That her daughter will quit drinking and stay away from drugs from now on, while going on in learning some of the good traits of her mother!

I am so disappointed with most of the comments posted here…..My first thought watching this video was how amazing it is that music can cross borders, faiths, and conflict. A beautiful song sung by a wonderful voice about LOVE can be one Point of Light in the darkness, then I started to read the comments posted by some of you. Shame on you. My father taught me “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all” I guess if half of you were taught this there wouldn’t be much use for post.

A beautiful tribute to the peak of Whitney’s life; before drugs took her life and finally ended it yesterday.

Must suck, er, blow to be one of the 5,000 skinnies (Somali lower class workers), that were given 7-11 big gulp straws and told to blow the water out as hard as they could on cue. There was a brief moment (don’t know if you caught it) where another 5,000 relacement skinnies dove in to relieve the others. An interview was conducted after the spectacle with one of the skinnies where he stated…

    Screw this crap… cough, cough
Yo ho, yo ho, it‘s a pirate’s life for me.
We’ll pillage, we’ll plunder, we’ll rifle, and loot,
Drink up, me ‘earties, yo ho.
We‘ll kidnap and ravage and don’t give a hoot,
    It’s a pirates life for me… cough, cough…

It‘s sad to see some with such nasty comments I did love her music and no my world didn’t stop but I will show respect to another human who got lost along the way in life and now is with GOD.I wasn‘t into Michael Jackson who I respected as someone with talent but didn’t get into his music like many.I loved Whitneys music because it was clean, beautiful and inspirational to me I won‘t pass judgement on her or Michael that’s GODS JOB.Everyone has different taste in music and Whitneys was my kind of music at least the ones that I have no cursing no demeaning others no vulgarity yes I‘m old fashion that’s the music I love and always will love.Songs that I like have meaning for me in my own way and no I won‘t watch the endless coverage she is gone and nothing nice or mean anyone says is going to change that but I will voice my respect and love for her and don’t care what others say or think of it.I can hear her now except she is with GODS CHOIR and he is smiling that’s all that matters she is in a better place then we are that I know and believe with all my heart.

This is not a Whitney Houston song form the movie “The Bodyguard”, but rather a song written by Dolly Parton the year I was born.

Dolly may well have written it and conceivably sung it; Whitney did sing it in ‘The Bodyguard’ and made the song famous all over again. If Dolly wrote it and retained the rights, she too reaped rewards from this rendition.

You’re right, Dolly Parton wrote the song, and sang it in the movie “Best Little Whore House in Texas.”

Dolly wrote that song and included it on an album in the early seventies and brought it back for the Movie “Best little whorehouse in Texas” with Burt Reynolds. I‘m partial to Dolly’s original version as it conveys more genuineness and honesty. I don’t think music is nice when someone is screaming it.

Oh please. She was a drug-ridden fool, who threw her life and her talent away years and years ago. She destroyed her voice, her body, and plummeted in stature by her own hand. I am not going to sit around and feel badly because the “world lost Whitney Houston”. The world lost her in the late 90s. She was a singer. No more, no less. People of far higher quality die every day in our military.

Rush Limbaugh is a drug-ridden fool, who is throwing his life and talent. He has destroyed his fat, ugly body. He is a low life criminal junkie who was arrested for eating illegal drugs. Quote from http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/04/28/national/main1561324.shtml “Rush Limbaugh Arrested On Drug Charges. March 2009: Limbaugh turned himself in to authorities on a warrant filed Friday charging him with fraud to conceal information to obtain prescriptions. Rush publicly acknowledged being addicted to pain medication and entered a rehabilitation program. They accused Limbaugh of “doctor shopping,” or illegally deceiving multiple doctors to receive overlapping prescriptions, after learning that he received about 2,000 painkillers, prescribed by four doctors in six months, at a pharmacy near his Palm Beach mansion.”

Sorry she is dead, but enough is enough, I am already sick of seeing it. There is no sense in puttin it on every minute. Celebrities are no more important than anybody else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get over it!!!!!!!! If they had of been white yu would not have heard all this stuff. Those little boys that were blowed up got put aside because of this. Judge Janine was suppose to have had the story of the little boys and family on her show and she just forgot them and went to whitney. It is a bunch of crap!!!!!!!! She is NOT god!!!!!!! she has not had a hit song in years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pray for her family, and its a tragic loss, and very sad, but I did not know her, and most of the world did not know her as a person, and i foolishly thought that the media would learn something form the overcoverage of Dianas death, but they have not. now we have to put up with 3 weeks of media mourning for WH. I will be either turning my t.v. off, or resding a book, or watching a good movie.

So sad that someone with all that talent couldn’t come to terms with her passion for drugs. So sad that the man she married turned her on to it (as I wrong?) and she couldn’t get away. So much to give to the world!
