Violence Erupts in North London

Two police cars, a bus, and local businesses have been set ablaze as riots have erupted in Tottenham, a northern area of Greater London. BBC video coverage of the damage and protests:
BBC News reports on what has led to the major disturbance:
“The incident began after a protest over the fatal shooting of a young man by police on Thursday turned violent.
About 300 people have gathered outside the police station on the High Road.
Members of the community had taken to the streets to demand ‘justice’ after the shooting of a 29-year-old father-of-four, named locally as Mark Duggan.
The BBC’s Ben Ando, who is at the scene, described the situation as a ‘stand off’.”
The Guardian has reported that protesters have also attacked and set fire to several shops, and that rioters are armed with makeshift missiles in the center of Tottenham.
“At one point, rioters broke through police ranks and attempted to storm Tottenham’s police station, pelting officers with bricks and bottles.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the trouble began when ‘missiles’ were thrown at parked patrol cars at 8.30pm. He said one was pushed, blazing, into the middle of Tottenham High Street. Neither of the two officers who had been driving the cars were injured.
As the violence spread, a double decker bus was set upon. Witnesses said the vehicle exploded in flames after attackers threw home made bombs through its windows. Nearby shops were also set ablaze.
Hundreds of residents gathered to watch the unrest and there several were reports of attacks on bystanders. At one point rioters were seen beating up a man attempting to take film footage of the scene.”

Protesters are believed to have gathered outside the police station at about 17:00 BST.
“Starrish” Mark Duggan was shot dead by police in north London while seated in a minicab stopped during a planned operation, the police watchdog has said. Officers stopped the car on Thursday to carry out an arrest when the 29-year-old man, reported to be well-known within the community, was shot.

Posted on August 7, 2011 at 8:04amIt was in Britain just a few weeks ago that the Muslims were at a point of near rioting, denigrating British soldiers with slurs printed on signs saying their dead got what they deserved for fighting Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan.
British citizens held a counter protest supporting their dead soldiers, and it was the radicals in the mainstream media who were demonizing their own people, while they ignored the Muslim ingrates.
In France there are, on average, 100 cars torched per night, unless they find an excuse to torch thousands more, as when two burglars ran into a fenced in area housing electrical apparatus where they were electrocuted, and, of course, it was claimed the riots were in response to that. There are “no go” areas in France where even the police refuse to go, because it has turned into a cesspool of crime, drugs and violence, housing many jihadists and black North Africans.
All over Europe protests are held in support of instituting sharia law. You would think these people would be grateful to be in countries where they’ve been given welfare, food stamps and a chance to work, but they’re not, They’ll tell anybody who will listen they hate their European saviors. It is, of course, no more than misbehavior, criminal activity and chaos designed to get even more freebies, because they’ve been so successful in the past with the same kind of civil unrest and hate-mongering.

Do you think if this ever came home that the fire department would have enough resources to come help out when some punk throws a molitov on your roof? Bunker gear can only be used for 10 years but it has plenty of life left in it for an individual to protect ones home with. Check online auctions for cheap retired gear. I have everything else covered but this.

I would be in the same place I was in the 1978 or was it 79, during the riots in NYC in my home with the door triple locked, the power went out and all the blacks and hispanic’s just freaked out, they started breaking window‘s taking TV’s, I saw two Hispanic’s taking a couch, it become a zoo in a very short time.
My point was we as a race have become so weak, unlike the whites of the past like the 1920′s, that when this stuff happens, and it’s like no big deal, just normal multi-culturalism at work.

If you’re ever in the area, I strongly recommend a visit to Muna’s Sudanese and Eritrean restaurant on Green Lanes. And eat ‘traditional’, it’s the only way. Of course, Broadwater Farm and Tottenham High Road aren’t in South Tottenham.
I find it interesting that in reporting demographics, all you look to is the racial makeup of an area and not, say, the poverty levels. They’re way more significant.
