Violent Brawl Erupts Between Two Families in Stand Your Ground Double Murder Case in Osceola County Florida

Fists went flying Monday inside a Florida courthouse after two families connected to a double-homicide case collided in a violent brawl after a scheduled hearing was postponed, WFTV in Orlando reports.

In the “Stand Your Ground” case, Jason Clair is accused of shooting and killing brothers James and Joel Kun outside a nightclub last year and says he shot them in self-defense, using the same controversial law as George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin case.

WFTV reports the defense team said the hearing was postponed so new gun evidence could be reviewed.

Relatives from both families were in attendance at the Osceola County courthouse and understandably, tensions were already running high.

Police said the brothers’ father, James Kun Sr., their friend, Jeremy Milyon and defendant Jason Clair’s stepfather, James Barker, got into a verbal argument that quickly turned into a fist fight. The video captured by WFTV does not show what exactly the men were arguing about prior to the fight but seconds later there were punches being landed and bodies hitting the floor.

In the video you can see court deputies and a local police officer break up the mayhem, at one point threatening to Taze the fighting relatives.

“I’m gonna Taze you! I’m gonna Taze you!” one officer yells. However, police ended up not having to use the Tazers.

As he was being handcuffed, Parker apologized to police.

“Sorry. He hit me first. He hit me. What was I supposed to do?”

WFTV, the only local news outlet to catch the incident on video, has more details:

St. Cloud Detective Christian Anderson told WFTV reporter Kathi Belich that in the 17 years he has been on the job, he has never seen anything like that incident.

“Obviously, emotions ran high. I stepped in to intervene, just based on the hostile actions, and while trying to stop it, I ended up getting struck in the back of the head,” said Anderson.

Deputies pulled Tasers out but did not use them.

Officers said that after speaking with all three individuals and numerous witnesses, as well as reviewing evidence of the brawl, Parker and Kun were arrested and taken to the Osceola County Jail.

Milyon was reportedly taken to the Osceola Regional Medical Center for an unspecified injury to his jaw and was later taken to the county jail with the others.

    I can understand emotions running high at a murder trial. I can even understand why the fight broke out, after all, one was the father of the killer, one was the stepfather of the victims. Why the other guy got involved was probably for a purely male reason I will never understand. Personally, I think that the courtroom should be divided for families of violent crime. And there should be separate entrances, or schedule waiting rooms where they cannot confront one another before or after the trial. Having been in a courtroom with the family of the man who killed my son and his friend, I understand the rage. It was all I could do not to lose my temper every time I looked at the murderer or his family members who lied to protect him. I understand, but fighting like that doesn’t make anything better for the victims or the killer. All it does is hurt the families more.

    The younger guy punches the older guy in the face in front of all those people but the court don’t think you should retaliate but just look like a fool but guess what ! Men have pride and didn’t want the young dude to get the better of him so he cracked his jaw…. But guess what…? I bet the young dude thinks twice before he tries to hit another old man… This is how bone head young adults learn… Through old school lessons and the old dude took him there… Just because a guy is old and or bald don‘t mean he can’t still break a young guys face.

      Nail on head. Florida is a transplant’s state.The vast population, especially in the city areas, are not native. It‘s why you can’t watch a professional sporting event without seeing at 50% opposing jerseys. Every one is from somewhere else and still clinging to the culture they left it seems. They even raise their kids who are born here to root against Florida. Makes you wonder why they left in the first place.

What really *isses men off is that they all voted for King Barry. move here, and don‘t have enough sense or respect to remove that disgusting Obama 08’ bumper sticker.       I disagree. The youngster learned a lesson — don’t mess around with an old man if you have a glass jaw. I can guarantee you he thinks twice before pulling that crap again. He will probably never do that again because he doesn’t want another broken jaw. Other people who see this video may think twice as well. It is funny how a lot of people on this thread think God shows us signs about how to live but when people get a little primitive they act holier than thou. The truth is, some people deserve to get knocked out, & dare is say in some killed for the crap they pull. That is how people learn to be civil. In fact one reason our civil society is on the verge of collapse is because people get away with offensive acts with impunity because of the overzealous law enforcement officers and lawyers. People are letting their frustrations fester and having outbursts. Meanwhile a certain sector (shall I say black) of the population thinks they can trample all over everybody’s rights because we are unwilling to defend ourselves and our legacy (and theirs). Quit being such cowards. It is bad to be a cowards vocally and physically. People exploit it and have zero respect for it. If an animal shows aggression and you cower they will eat you alive, but if they get aggressive and you respond with a fierce stance, you will live. Apply that to America. The left is an animal and they are showing signs of aggression while the Republican party cowers in the corner — so they are eating us alive

    You would think in such a highly emotional trail as this the courts would think ahead and keep the two sides as seperated as possible. I mean realy, you see this type of pandemonium all the time in these types of cases. How stupid can officials be.

    I’m surprised the site is running this story…there is no black victim for the posters to say deserved getting shot, there is no black perpetrator for the posters to point to as proof as blacks are criminals, and the people who got in the fight are not dark-skinned enough to be called “animals” by the posters…

      Actually, I was wondering why I had never heard of this incidence, only skimming the article. I got to the 3 pictures (of white men) and jumped to the conclusion that it was white on white crime, a non-story to the lame stream media. But after watching the video, was it black on white crime? That would be another reason the main stream media didn’t report it….can’t flame those flames. Only white on black crime allowed, even if you have to call the guy a White Hispanic to get it in.
