Violent Protests Erupt, US Consulate Firebombed Ahead of Obama’s Brazil Visit

Protesters urging “Obama Go Home” staged a violent protest in Rio de Janiero Friday ahead of President Barack Obama’s visit to Brazil. According to AFP, police fired rubber bullets and used tear gas to break up a demonstration outside the US consulate after protesters firebombed the building.
Some 300 people had gathered at the site when Brazilian Military Police showed up and tried to break up the demonstration.
Police cracked down on the crowd after protesters hurled a molotov cocktail at the consulate door, the O Globo newspaper reported on its website.
“I was in the center of the protest when people began to run and I heard shots,” said AFP photographer Vanderlei Almeida. “I had to get out of there because it was hard to breathe.”
Almeida was struck by two rubber bullets — one hit him in the leg, and the other in his stomach.
Several protesters were detained, Almeida said.
According to local news accounts, the demonstrations were organized by trade unions, political parties and social movement protesters.
Also on Friday, the White House announced that President Obama was canceling a public speech he‘d planned to deliver in one of Rio’s historic squares. Instead, the president will deliver remarks at Rio’s Municipal Theatre, but it was not specified whether the event would be open to the public or exclusively for invited guests.
No explanation for the change of venue was given by the embassy. Brazilian authorities have laid out a heavy security presence for Obama’s two-day visit to South America’s largest nation, and police in Rio had closed numerous streets from midnight Thursday in preparation.
On Thursday, members of an advance US security team were seen inspecting the surroundings of Cinelandia, where anti-US banners could be seen hanging from a road-side fence.
Some social and union groups have declared Obama a “persona non grata” and called for a protest, accusing him of a “bellicose policy of occupation” in foreign countries, and of attacking people “in the name of the war on terror.”
After his visit in Brazil, Obama will head to Chile and El Salvador on a Latin American tour.

I was also wondering about Obama’s statements about Dictators losing the confidence of the people or whatever it was, so if we all show up like on 8/28, he’ll resign?

That statement coming from the man that took the oath to uphold and defend the COTUS against all enemies both foriegn and domestic.

He can‘t be convicted of treason if he didn’t really take the oath. Remember that something happened during the inauguration? He then took the “oath” in private. If it is discovered that he was not qualified to become president by virtue of his Naturalization Status, then he can’t be tried for treason because he would not have held the office legally.

Wouldn‘t you suppose that the Obamas’ trip was scheduled months ago, and that even with Japan, Libya, the unions, the budget, etc., Brazil is simply too important a country to be blown off? Besides its oil and other mineral resources, it has steel, auto electronics industries. It’s a world player somewhat on the same order as Russia, India, or Japan. Maybe 75% of its people have some African blood, hence it’s a good idea to bring along the African-American wife and kids of the first African-American US President. The demonstrators? Who knows how many of them there are, or what important forces in Brazilian society they represent? Probably most Brazilians will either welcome the visit or ignore it.

What better COVER for Obama than to have to face the wrath of the Brazilian “average working man” and begin his transformation to separate himself from the “Fray” – ONLY to take the side (at a later date) of these “everyday” Brazilians and defend them as the SEIU Organizer Obama has been since day one of Obama’s “education” !
Obama needs the Brazilian resistance, to make him look good when, as he and Trumpka are hoping, find success here in America when Unions end up destroying Wisconsin with their hatred for our Democratic Republic.
This demonstration in Brazil will be spun to fit the agenda of “HOW EVIL IS AMERICA?”
But at some point in the future Obama will be able to say –
“THE UNITED NATIONS MADE ME DO IT”
can everyone say – one world government?

Posted on March 19, 2011 at 8:50pmPatriot Z, Robert, I believe JoeBLTSPK (sorry — whatever) has it right, that this is a perfectly planned and staged display planned by oh, say, Andy Sterns or someone of that sort. They have been employing this tactic since at least the 1930′s, probably before that. They stage side demonstrations and outbursts by their own, posing as opponents, in order to widen the stage for themselves.
I am gratified to see that others here are hip to their ways!!! There IS hope!!

Posted on March 19, 2011 at 9:09pmThis is the result of the leaders of Brazil blaming all of their problems on the US just like other non-leaders in the third world.
Report Post »I only wish for a leader that would heed their request and stop all foreign aid and any other contact with their country. Let them alone in their Utopian Ultra Green Country.
The only problem that Brazil has is the US. Other than that it is a perfect country.

Just about anywhere. Whatever you do, don’t mention what the paint is for. The Cashier could be in a Union!
Who do you want to run for POTUS in 2012?

Posted on March 20, 2011 at 2:03amWhere is Obamas praise for union/leftist/youth protestors now? Not Islamist enough? I wonder where he draws the line between the revolutionaries in Egypt and the ones in Brazil. For that matter, I wonder where his line between the Egyptian rebels and the Libyans is? Maybe Farrakhan and Wright have some answers?
Better start opening your friends and neighbors minds to the truth now to prepare them for 2012. The election that is, not the end of the world (I think).

Posted on March 20, 2011 at 1:02pmObama really tried not to do anything in Libya, but the UN spoke and his loyalty is to globalism first. Sorry about his betrayal. It is time that all Americans wake up to the systematic destruction of our sovereignty.

Or does it give his supporters here at home talking points in the argument that he’s not a communist, they don’t even like him in Brazil?

Report Post »I’m with you, I wonder if they’re being mass produced. He’s all about Brazilian jobs, let’s import scads of these signs and put them up at every port of entry in the US., Maybe some Western State could try to carpet a whole town with them to boast the “World’s largest Obama Stay Away Sign”!
