Viral Sensation: British Batman ‘In Real Life’ Sprints Through Streets in Cardboard Batcycle

In anticipation for the soon-to-be-released “The Dark Knight Rises” — the conclusion of the Batman series starring Christian Bale directed by Christopher Nolan — a man has been tearing through the streets of Cambridge in England quoting lines from previous movies films.
That man is a 23-year-old actor and director who appears to be named Robson Thompson. So far, the satirical clip on his YouTube channel — TheRobsonExperience — was posted at the end of June and has nearly 700,000 hits. “Batman — The Dark Knight IRL (In Real Life)” is one of many parodies TheRobsonExperience has created.

Check out his dramatic interpretation of the Dark Knight complete with a cardboard “Batcycle” powered by a method similar to that of the Flinstone’s (his own two feet):
What is more hilarious? The reactions on onlookers faces or the sound effects that he makes to represent the Batcycle’s engine? He even replicates the low, raspy voice of Batman himself. “It’s not who you are underneath, but what you do that defines you,” he says to some watching him.
The Robson Experience has even created T-shirts showing Batman — the “in real life” version.

As a bonus, the Robson project also recently satirized a scene from “Independence Day,” which starred Will Smith. See if it rings a bell:
