Viral Vid: 3-Year-Old ‘Air Drums’ to Nirvana Song While Sleeping, Before Rocking Out as He Wakes Up

It’s not many 3-year-olds who have had their musical jam sessions viewed by hundreds of thousands on the internet, but this one may just be endearing enough.

The description in the video explains:

How to wake up a sleeping kid.

The last time we woke him up in the car, he got so grumpy and cranky. And since he loves this kind of music we just had to try a new method.  I think there are parents that can recognize this scene.
He is half Norwegian and half Chilean.

The languages you briefly hear in the video are, according to the description, the Trondheim dialect [from] Norway and Spanish, but no one is paying attention to that.

Rather, everyone is watching the little boy air-drumming to Nirvana in his sleep, before waking up and having a full-on concert.  He even mouths the “oh yeah, oh yeah!”

“Rock on!” most of the commenters have written, though a fair number have lamented his lack of a child’s car seat.

    First of all, I have no problem with the music (other than I wouldn‘t have it that loud with a child in the car for his poor ears but I’m not judging just wouldn’t do it myself.) Second, this is obviously not in the US and let’s face it folks car seats are rarely used in other countries. Visited the caribbean in the last few years twice and you’re lucky to see kids in a seat belt at all let alone a car seat. Went to Jamaica last year and they were PACKING kids into cars as much as would fit because the country can’t afford to have buses even though they have an 18% sales tax and even higher income tax (at least according to the locals we talked to.) So they get a car that basically the neighborhood uses to take kids home, a friend who has a car or they walk MILES to get home. I’m glad to see this kid even in a seat belt. As far as it being real, not sure. My kids are far more grumpy if I wake them up rudely like this or even at all sometimes. But, it‘s still cute so what’s the big deal. Let’s not make mountains out of molehills. We have enough BIG problems to worry about.

    3 years old and the child is using a seat belt? Yes the parents can take care of their child as they see fit, but this shows they care little to nothing of their child’s well being. The kid should be in a car seat with a five-point harnass, that drastically increases the chance the cild will suffer little to no injuries in case of accident. The seat belt will do far more harm than good given the size and age.

      Apparently you are blind as well as being a moron. The 3 year old is in a booster seat, doesn’t need to be in an infant seat at the age of three. Secondly this person in not in the nanny state, where you reside. Go to N.Korea and the state will take care of you.

      I agree where the hell is the car seat!! A three year old is not old enough to be in a booster. My 6 yr. old daughter just started using a booster last summer. My son who is almost as tall as my daughter, solid, with broad shoulders (3′3″ tall and over 35 lbs.) is STILL in a five-point harness car seat. I would never imagine having him in a regular seat or even a booster at that age. Their bodies are not strong enough to hand a severe impact from another car…

      Not a nanny state to use car seats;
      Among children under 5 years old, an estimated 451 lives were saved in 2004 by child restraint use. Of these 451 lives saved, 413 were associated with the use of child safety seats and 38 with the use of adult belts. Child safety seats can reduce fatal injury by 71 percent for infants and by 54 percent for toddlers, ages 1-4.
      I’m a die hard conservative/gov stay out of my lifer and I‘d still say it’s worth it.

      THEJACKAL… Wow, you have awesome eyesight! Watched three times now and all I can make out is the car‘s backing for it’s own bench. The vid never dips low enough to view what is under his bum.
      MILS… I agree. I‘ve fake slept in the car myself at a young age so I didn’t have to walk into the house after coming home from a late dinner party my family attended. The kid is awake.

      I remember a time not so long ago (the 1980′s, in fact) when the left-wing Progressives/Wilsonian Fascists hadn‘t brainwashed every parent into thinking children will automatically die and fall into a thousand peices the very second they entered an automobile if they weren’t strapped into a car seat. Child seats for any kid over the age of two come from the same dememented minds as participation trophies, grading schoolwork in green ink, and bathing your child in antibacterial hand wash if they so much as go outside for five minutes.

      When i was growing up, we didn’t have the use of car seats and check this, i also grew up with parents that would drink and smoke. I also use to ride my BMX without a helmet and elbow pads. And i also drunk water from a garden hose…. Is your head spinning yet??

      I swam in a dirty river ,got pulled around town on an old rusty car hood by a truck in the snow while the driver would try and sling us off ,fell out of the top of trees while climbing , let stray dogs lick my face ,played baseball with no helmet ,rode dirt bikes with no helmet etc…..etc…. Our culture has become a bunch of pansies. That kid was hilarious !!!

      So did I. I clearly remember all of that stuff…and my head is not spinning. You also probably played on lawns that were sprayed with DDT, and lived in houses with Asbestos in them.
      The fact of the matter is that seat belts save lives, ALOT of them and so do car seats. So many that there is no practical arguement against them;

      I didn’t say i grew up NOT wearing a seat belt whilst being driven around in a car… i said “we didn’t have the use of child car seats” and to this day, i don’t know anyone (child) that died because they wasn’t sat on a seat placed on another seat.

      Anyway if you check the video again, you may see the young lad is belted up…. so your reply was pointless O.o

    Lame…if not incredibly stupid. First thing I see is the seat belt across the kid’s neck. If he’s lucky enough to survive a collision, he’ll never walk again. Then I see his taking a queue, and not ‘waking up’. He’s just monleying around. My kid does it all the time, and while it is cute, it’s not that special.

    The most striking thing I find about this video is how the seat belt runs across that poor boys neck. If they are ever unfortunate enough to be in a car accident I hate to think the outcome for this boy.

      I exposed my children to that kind of music, all kinds of music. Nirvana, Tool, Tori Amos and everything in between. And now both of my children are adults, with jobs and conservative. My son just got home from a 2 month tour with his own band. Some of you on this site are just as bigoted and hateful as the ones you point fingers at all day long.

      @HROTHGAR The Beatles and Elvis did negatively influence the direction of music and entertainment. While their music seems mild in comparison , they opened the door for all the crappy music such as this. Much of the music Elvis did WAS sexual, and DID corrupt a generation of young people. All those who recognized the dangers of listening to rock and roll were not old fogies, but were very insightful. All the things they forecast would happen as a result of rock and roll have come to pass, EXACTLY as was predicted.

      Rock of elvis and the beetles quickly paved the way for the music of Hendrix, Joplin, on on down to the gangster rap filth of today.

      People think John Lennin was all about peace and love. He himself was violent, was cruel to people with disabilities, was disrespectfull to the elderly, and was about moving toward socialism, and anti establishment.

      You are amazing> Why just yesterday I asked my 6 year old daughter what CD she wanted to listen ands she said “Rockstar”. To her. “Rockstar” means Iron Maiden. So, like a good dad I popped in my compilation old-to-new Maiden and we rocked out. She LOVES Phantom of the Opera and when The NUmber of the Beast comes on she gets real quiet to hear the into. Loves it. Oh, and my kid attends a Christian school and probably knows the Bible better then I do.
