Viral Video: Shark Stealing Woman’s First Catch Gets Nearly 2 Million Views in 2 Days

Sarah Brame posted a video on YouTube on July 10 of herself reeling in her first fish. The struggle between man (or woman) and fish can been an exciting ordeal. Brame’s fiance, William Moore, must be glad he was filming as it turned out to be no ordinary catch.

As Brame was bringing in the fish, it was stolen — by a bull shark.

The theft occurred right before the lunker was netted, shocking Brame and others on the dock in South Carolina. Since its posting on Tuesday, the video has been covered by dozens of media outlets and now has more than 1.8 million hits on YouTube.

Watch the clip (Warning: Strong language):

Carolina Live reports the family estimating the shark was about 200 pounds and six feet long:

“I was actually kind of scared because I seen it jump and actually thought it could jump up here and get me,” said Brame. “Because the tide was all the way up, and it was probably three feet below me.”

“We couldn’t believe how it actually happened,” said Moore. “We keep watching the video over and over and over again.”

But that’s not all. The others were not about to let the shark get away with the fish robbery. Carolina Live goes on to report that the men took out a boat and ended up catching the shark, using the boat itself to help reel the strong beast in closer. They described it as a scene from “Jaws” when they realized they “needed a bigger boat.” Eventually, they released the shark but only after a good fight.

All our oilwells and coal-reserves(etc..) will suddenly be ours again…because the ENDANGERED-SPECIES-ACT will demand it! They will “rue-the-day” they wrote that deadly act when they haveto help all of the U.S.A. to get off the endangered list!!!

Yeah, then she starts screaming, “Showrk, showerk, it’s a BIG O SHOWERK.” in this weird accent that sounds like a cross between Fran Drescher and a dying sea gull. That cancelled out the cute fishing buddy thing for me.

Bull sharks have the highest testosterone level of all animals, and hunt along inlets and shorelines most of their lives-nasty combination.

Teach a man (or woman) to fish, and a shark (thinly disguised as a bureaucrat) will take their hard won fish from them. I mean, it isn‘t fair that they should have a fish when others don’t.

It’s fake! Seriously. The small fish is not even on her pole! Look at the line going from the small fish off to the right of the screen just before the shark hits. Look for yourself. It’s FAKE!

I was camping in the mountains near home once and just sitting down for breakfast when a Big Foot walked into camp, poured himself a cup of coffee, then looked at me, winked while snapping his finger and pointing at me before striding back into the woods…. no $hit!
