‘Virgin Sh**’: Critics Blame Lolo Jones’ Virginity for Her 4th Place Olympic Finish

Lolo Jones has captivated American attention for a variety of reasons. To begin, she’s a talented track and field star. But, as TheBlaze highlighted in an article we posted about the athlete back in May, the attractive 29-year-old is also an outspoken Christian and…a virgin. While many have praised her for holding true to her values and waiting until marriage to have sex, in the wake of her Olympic performance, some are now using her virtuous decision against her.
After Jones came in fourth place during the finals of the 100-meter hurdles on Tuesday, many Twitter users started talking about her sex life. Using the loss as an opportunity to lambaste the athlete, they seemed to allege that, had she been sexually active, perhaps she would have performed better at the Olympics.
“Can’t sum1 just send LOLO Jones home!!!,” Twitter user @ImprovetoS wrote (grammar and spelling kept intact). “She needs 2 find her self a man or woman! Stop doing trackraces, go find sum sex!”
“Lolo lost? Good. Go have sex now girl, STFU and then you’ll win,” quipped @JayAbe2.
Rather than focus upon the quality of Jones’ abilities, these Twitter users decided to blame her lack of sexuality on her athletic standing. While the aforementioned messages may seem harsh, there’s plenty more where that came from. Some of the other tweets, as captured by Deadspin, were even more virulent (caution: language):
Of course, there were plenty of other messages in this same vein, which can be read here. As stated, Jones has been outspoken about her virginity. Earlier this year, she spoke out on the “Today” show, saying:
“It’s just something, a gift that I want to give to my husband. But please understand this journey has been hard. If there’s virgins out there, I just want to let them know, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Harder than training for the Olympics, harder than graduating from college, has been to stay a virgin before marriage.”

Interestingly, some of the mean-spirited criticism being thrown the athlete’s way mirrors other past comments she made about men who have tried to convince her to sleep with them.

“I’ve been tempted. I’ve had guys tell me, they’re like, ‘Hey you know if you have sex it will help you run faster,’” Jones also said, going on to give her response: “If you marry me, then yeah.”
This morning, Jones appeared on “Today” to discuss her broken heart over her fourth-place ranking and a recent report in The New York Times that claims the newspaper “tore her apart”:
In the end, regardless of the treatment she receives, Jones’ decision — especially in today’s day and age — is laudable.

This Olympics will lose money. they couldn’t fill the seats at events so they are giving tickets away. Customs officers went on strike immediately before the Olympics.

I mentioned before… I worked with approx. 100 women in manufacturing (it seemed odd to me that the company wasn’t hiring men) A large group of the women were working near me when I overheard them bragging about cheating on their husbands to one another. I was disgusted. I said something like, “Don’t you find that selfish behavior? What about your children? If you don’t love your husbands enough to stay loyal to them, don’t you care about the children?” They attacked me relentlessly for expressing my family values. They started telling lies and spreading gossip. I was just wanted them to realize that they risking their families for selfish reasons. I thought that if they just weren’t thinking and by bringing it up, I could help them save their families. The business was sent to Panang, where ever that is. Malaysia or Indonesia I think. I only know one of the girls from that conversation, the others moved away. Her marriage didn’t last long. This particular one even bragged that she had cheated the day before her wedding and never stopped. Something that struck me though. They all seemed to be really stupid and they all seemed to believe their own popularity was the central purpose of life.

I applaud Lolo’s actions as one who has also remained a virgin for marriage I can attest it is very difficult to save that gift for your life partner, especially in this day and age with people like that on her twitter account striving to bring her down the wrong direction.
It is as the bible stated the bad shall be good and the good shall be bad. When the wicked will glorify all the wicked doing’s as good and all of the righteous will be brought down by the wicked, it is happening today at a rapid pace. And, for the record, atheletes refrain from sexual activity before events like this because it actually REDUCES your performance.
