Virginia Newspaper Hires ‘National Treasure’ Helen Thomas

Former White House press corps veteran Helen Thomas has landed herself a new job after being let go by her old employer, Hearst Newspapers, for derogatory comments aimed at Jews.
As you may recall, Thomas abruptly resigned her post as an opinion columnist working for Hearst covering the White House after comments she made about about Israel, Jews, and Palestine. On May 27, 2010, Thomas was on hand at the White House for American Jewish Heritage Celebration Day. When approached by Rabbi David Nesenoff of RabbiLive.com, Thomas stated that Jews should “get the hell out of Palestine” and “go home” to “Poland, Germany and America and everywhere else.”
On Thursday, the Falls Church News-Press announced that the veteran journalist — whom they dub a “national treasure” — was “coming out of a seven-month self-imposed retirement” to resume her weekly column. Previously, the paper had carried her weekly column until it ceased in June 2010.
In the liberal paper’s announcement of her new employment venture, owner and editor Nicholas F. Benton acknowledged that Thomas’ controversial comments were “intemperate and inappropriate” and reflected a “personal anger” she felt over the news of last year’s Gaza flotilla raid by Israeli security forces.
Ms. Thomas’ views on a variety of subjects often differ from prevailing White House or other policies and positions. One of nine children born to Lebanese-Syrian immigrant parents, she has held to opinions different from many on U.S. policy toward the Middle East since the 1940s. But her personal views have not tainted her highly-professional work for 50 years as a White House correspondent, except perhaps to inform the kinds of questions that she’s never shied away from asking.
I have known Ms. Thomas since the founding of the News-Press in 1991. She visited our offices twice to meet readers and admirers. We share an appreciation for Eleanor Roosevelt and her work on behalf of the International Declaration of the Rights of Man.
She is progressive, and following my more than eight hours of direct, one-on-one talks with her since the events of last June, I remain firmly convinced that she is neither bigoted, nor racist, nor anti-Semitic. …
As one who has championed the cause of inclusion in my newspaper for 20 years, who founded the Diversity Affirmation Education Fund for the Falls Church School System, I am proud that a journalist of the stature and professionalism of Helen Thomas is relaunching her career in my newspaper. She more than deserves, and I am honored to help provide her, the proverbial “second chance.”

Maybe this paper can hire David Duke and give him a section of the paper also, after all he is, by their definition, a “…national treasure…” isn’t he? “…National Treasure…” I can think of a few more they should go after. Maybe we should get the relatives of Lyman Beecher and Horace Bushnell to get a good Anti-Catholic section for the paper too. Then the ACLU can run articles in it about how bad the Boy Scouts of America are for society. Then they need a writer who believes as did Margaret Sanger about forced sterilization of those members of our society that are inferior. This would not just be the Blacks and Spanish and Catholics and Jews community but also anyone that does not believe what these liberal Nazi loving idiots want us to accept as their truth. When does freedom of the press and speech end? I hope there is a move to boycott this newspaper. I am very glad I do not live in Virginia.

I’m sure if she made the same comments and it were directed towards White Chrisitians everyone here would be just fine with it, and it wouldn’t even be story. Gee ever wonder why we don’t learn about Communism huh, maybe they don’t want you to know what religious group was actually invovled. Read up on your history, learn about who the original Bolsheviks of the Soviet Union were. Learn who ran the Cheka, the gulags, and how the communist revolution was financed and planned right here in New York city by a Jew named Jacob Schiff. Of course, they are always written off as “self hating” yeah right. Thats why churches were destroyed, and synagogues remained. You people stand up against a woman who criticized people who are allowed to light their Menorah on public land, infront of the whitehouse every year, while at the same time will jump at any chance to attack a Nativity Scene in the same place. Its not that Thomas is anti-semitic, its that the media and every other kosher influence of our society are anti-gentilic.

What bugs me the most was her delivery of statements disguised as press questions. The virulence and open contempt she would display to whoever was answering the questions was way beyond the pale. He’s the owner of the local so called newspaper who hired Helen Thomas, The Falls Church Toilet-Paper, otherwise known as the Falls Church News-Press.
Benton is probably wackier than Helen Thomas. Before he started his far left wing rag, he was press secretary to……………..Lyndon LaRouche.

Most recently the bad guys trashed the place so bad that it took over 20 grand to repair the place. This move of hiring Helen was more of a security investment for the Falls Church News-Press…
She will only be working at night, and she must do her work at the offices of the FC News-Press. It is thought that the thugs that keep breaking-in will come face-to-face with Ms.Thomas take one good look, and run like hell.
Problem solved.
