Virginia Police Investigating Pipe Bomb That Blew Up Near Several Cars

Authorities in Blacksburg, Va. are investigating after an improvised explosive device blew up near several parked cars early Wednesday morning, badly damaging one of them, WSLS-TV reported.

Officers responded at approximately 2:50 a.m. after a citizen called 911 and reported hearing either a gunshot or an explosion.
Rich Marianos with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives told the Associated Press a sports utility vehicle seems to have been targeted. The AP characterized the device as a pipe bomb.
No suspects were immediately identified and police do not have a motive, according to the AP. No one was hurt by the blast.
The location of the explosion is a short distance away from Virginia Tech, where a student gunman went on a shooting rampage in 2007, killing 32 people. Marianos said Wednesday’s incident had nothing to do with the university.
According to WSLS, Virginia State Police, the FBI and ATF agents are assisting Blacksburg police with the investigation.

When school is in session, B’burg is an international city, and you can hear many languages in the grocery store. In the summer, it’s mostly locals and summer students. The locals are smart enough to detonate their explosives outside city limits. Probably a bored grad student experimenting with some plans he found on the internet. Betcha.

There is no reason that people should be able to purchase ‘heavy weapon’ pipe material without FBI scrutiny. We should immediately ban all indoor plumbing and start crapping in the back yard; do it for the safety of the children. How many more children need to die? Plus, crapping in the back yard will help fertilize the grass, thus making it a viable ‘green’ initiative requiring billions of dollars in federal subsidies that will help stimulate the economy. If you disagree with my position, it is only because you are a racist.

Seems like Blacksburg is just south of Richmond which is about mid-ways. I guess I could pull up a map and look. It has been awhile since I lived up that way. They must be practicing for something bigger.

There are mosquest they have in Maryland and in Northern Virginia as well, if I am not mistaken. They are allowing these nasty people to move in who hate Americans. I am sure not many of them want to assimilate. They go into D.C. at will because it is about 45 minutes away or so. They will take over and get into community affirs and town and city affairs and slide on into the Federal agencies. They all should be vetted before assuming any duties in any type government. I am betting money is buying positions. They act pro American, then work to destroy us is what many if not most of them do.

The problem is they didn’t check their ideology at the state line. The Mason-Dixon line has gone south to Charlottesville, and it’s creeping farther south every year.
