‘Vote Rogue’: Iowa Ad Campaign Urges Voters to Caucus for Sarah Palin

AP
An independent group is running radio advertisements in Iowa urging voters to go “rogue” and cast their votes for Sarah Palin at the state’s caucuses, despite the former Alaska governor’s insistence that she is not running for president.
The group, calling itself “Sarah Palin’s Iowa Earthquake,” released the 30-second spot less than a week out from the Iowa caucuses, the first official nominating event in the 2012 campaign. The ad says it is not authorized by Palin or any other candidate.
“Are you unhappy with the current GOP field? Let me tell you something, you are not alone,” the ad says. “Join thousands of Iowans as we vote rogue. It’s the caucus for Sarah Palin on January 3. Let Iowa and the entire country know we want real leadership and real reform in D.C. So come on Iowa, vote rogue on January 3!”
A similar group calling itself “Sarah Palin’s Earthquake Movement” is planning to run TV ads in Iowa markets through Jan. 1, according to its Facebook page.
Palin said in October she would not be seeking the presidency in 2012, though she fueled speculation earlier this month when she said it wasn’t too late for “folks” to jump into the GOP race.
This isn’t the first effort to try to draft Palin into the 2012 race: A separate group called Conservatives4Palin announced plans last month to run a TV ad campaign urging Palin to “reconsider” making a presidential bid.

If you are representative of Ron Paul’s supporters and if you are rightly reflecting who Ron Paul really is = Ron Paul Is NOT Who America Needs In The White House!
Your behavior, v-man, is that of BHO’s minions and lemmings. When faced with those they fear, the BHOs slink into the corners of their mud pits and coil their cowardly selves into little knots and spew mud.
It doesn’t appear that the Ron Pauls are throwing a damage control net over you and telling you to Shut-Up and Sit-Down, so they must be agreeing with your Ron Paul Campaign Agenda! Thank You, v-man, For Revealing To America Who Ron Paul Really Is!

By Dewie Whetsell, an Alaskan fisherman
The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, it’s about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.
1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.
2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES.” Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies

She‘s said she wouldn’t go into a war unless it’s proven to be absotutely needed and then we go in without our hands tied, win and get back home. The rest just want to continue the “war games” and do whatever the Generals say they need to do & just keep “occupying”, playing the military industrial money game.
Report Post »I know everyone doesn’t even give her a thought now thinking she could never get in this late and then win but I am still holding out that unexpected “situations” will happen that will propel her into this and either be our president in 2012 or 2016. She has said she would do that “rogue” thing if she thought the probable nominee couldn’t do the necessary job. She’s not crazy about Newt, Romney or Paul. However she’s said “anyone but Obama” — so………..only time will tell but I, for one would not be surprised..

But if she rose to the level of being governor of a state, such as Alaska, that would be rising above her level of competance, which she proved by quitting.

She doesn‘t have the accent of someone from Harvard or Yale and she doesn’t have the built-in bias either. She hasn’t been taught to be stupid like so many of you so called “enlightened-ones”. Read a little Plato perhaps … shall we say “The Apology” for example.

————————————————————————————————————————————–
I think the problem with Sarah is not that she’s a progressive. I don’t believe that she is. Her problem is that she never stretched her focus beyond Alaskan State politics and quite frankly she didn’t understand the difference between a conservative and a neocon/RHINO. She was recruited by the progressives before she knew what they were. Call it uneducated, tone deaf, or whatever, I think her problem in the past is that she was simply (still is to a degree) uneducated according to what’s right and wrong laid next to the Constitution.
I really do believe she would be the establishments (both sides of the aisle) worst nightmare. Especially if she teamed with Ron Paul as his VP nomination.

ANKENY, Iowa – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Iowa State Senator Kent Sorenson (R-Indianola) in a major pivot that promises to give Paul extra momentum in the run-up to the January 3, 2012 Iowa Caucus.
In making his endorsement Sen. Sorenson is leaving his post as Iowa chairman for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign here. The resignation and endorsement take effect immediately.

I can’t believe that I read all these responses bickering back and forth who would be the better president. Once again most on the blogs are fighting the wrong cause people wake up it is who sits in the Senate and the House of Representatives that passed the laws and the budgets and the reforms of the banks and the EPA and the FCC and the FEC you name it it does not come from the president! To change the country around we must be diligent in who is our representative as the president cannot do this on his own he must have the full body of Congress to back whatever he may want to instill as his policies or her policies nothing’s changed since the time of the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. But then just like the media always does they have you fighting back and forth on who was a progressive or whose a libertarian who was a green party in the meantime 1.2 trillion is being put forth to our Congress and not a peep about it. Have we lost our minds same with the NDAA did you do your part and write your Congressman and tell him you will be voted out if they don’t erase this as a Bill or law, let’s just fight back and forth who make the better candidate to run against the one now in office.

You comment is the only realistic comment I have read on this story, so far. Every single candidate is making campaign promises he/she can’t keep. The new POTUS will need a conservative Senate and House. I like Ron Paul’s elimination of Executive Departments, but he can’t do that independent of Congress since they established by law and only Congress makes laws. Not even Ronald Reagan could successfully eliminate the Department of Education.
Each of us needs to clearly identify the most conservative constitution-based candidate for any Senate or House seat open in our individual states and get actively involved. The reversal and return to the Constitution we all are clamoring for will be driven by Congress not the POTUS.

This country is a business, and it must needs be we place individuals in leadership rolls that will address such concernes. I have no fear with Paul’s foreign policy, I believe he would do what the country demands he to do in a time of an emergency. …I don’t think any of these candidate will ignore the Constitution as Obama and I believe Paul will shut down the border as would Romney. But lets not make a mistake here because of passion over examination, bigotry etc,….this election must be about the fiscal management of this country.
When that time comes for the moment of selection, the choice must be made for who can add and subtract the best….and this is a reference to industry and employment and illegals.
