‘Vote Rogue’: Iowa Ad Campaign Urges Voters to Caucus for Sarah Palin

Vote Rogue: Iowa Ad Campaign Urges Voters to Caucus for Sarah Palin

AP

An independent group is running radio advertisements in Iowa urging voters to go “rogue” and cast their votes for Sarah Palin at the state’s caucuses, despite the former Alaska governor’s insistence that she is not running for president.

The group, calling itself “Sarah Palin’s Iowa Earthquake,” released the 30-second spot less than a week out from the Iowa caucuses, the first official nominating event in the 2012 campaign. The ad says it is not authorized by Palin or any other candidate.

“Are you unhappy with the current GOP field? Let me tell you something, you are not alone,” the ad says. “Join thousands of Iowans as we vote rogue. It’s the caucus for Sarah Palin on January 3. Let Iowa and the entire country know we want real leadership and real reform in D.C. So come on Iowa, vote rogue on January 3!”

A similar group calling itself “Sarah Palin’s Earthquake Movement” is planning to run TV ads in Iowa markets through Jan. 1, according to its Facebook page.

Palin said in October she would not be seeking the presidency in 2012, though she fueled speculation earlier this month when she said it wasn’t too late for “folks” to jump into the GOP race.

This isn’t the first effort to try to draft Palin into the 2012 race: A separate group called Conservatives4Palin announced plans last month to run a TV ad campaign urging Palin to “reconsider” making a presidential bid.

If you are representative of Ron Paul’s supporters and if you are rightly reflecting who Ron Paul really is = Ron Paul Is NOT Who America Needs In The White House!

Your behavior, v-man, is that of BHO’s minions and lemmings. When faced with those they fear, the BHOs slink into the corners of their mud pits and coil their cowardly selves into little knots and spew mud.

It doesn’t appear that the Ron Pauls are throwing a damage control net over you and telling you to Shut-Up and Sit-Down, so they must be agreeing with your Ron Paul Campaign Agenda! Thank You, v-man, For Revealing To America Who Ron Paul Really Is!

      Mick BoltonSarah Palin
By Dewie Whetsell, an Alaskan fisherman

The last 45 of my 66 years I’ve spent in a commercial fishing town in Alaska . I understand Alaska politics but never understood national politics well until this last year. Here’s the breaking point: Neither side of the Palin controversy gets it. It’s not about persona, style, rhetoric, it’s about doing things. Even Palin supporters never mention the things that I’m about to mention here.

      1. Democrats forget when Palin was the Darling of the Democrats, because as soon as Palin took the Governor’s office away from a fellow Republican and tough SOB, Frank Murkowski, she tore into the Republican’s “Corrupt Bastards Club” (CBC) and sent them packing. Many of them are now residing in State housing and wearing orange jump suits The Democrats reacted by skipping around the yard, throwing confetti and singing, “la la la la” (well, you know how they are). Name another governor in this country that has ever done anything similar.

      2. Now with the CBC gone, there were fewer Alaskan politicians to protect the huge, giant oil companies here. So she constructed and enacted a new system of splitting the oil profits called “ACES.” Exxon (the biggest corporation in the world) protested and Sarah told them, “don’t let the door hit you in the stern on your way out.” They stayed, and Alaska residents went from being merely wealthy to being filthy rich. Of course, the other huge international oil companies

You can‘t tell me that Obama and Biden haven’t had just as many gaffs as Sarah or any other so called conservative. She has rallied the base like no other. YOU BETCHA !!! She is the only one I think that has the “mixture” we want — the guts, determination,“no fear”, non-“politician”, non-elitist Rino attitude and honest, no-game playing talk who has the “good” qualities of the others re the Constitution, Fed, etc. and not the negatives and the craziness of Ron Paul’s foreign policy, Israel position. She‘s said she wouldn’t go into a war unless it’s proven to be absotutely needed and then we go in without our hands tied, win and get back home. The rest just want to continue the “war games” and do whatever the Generals say they need to do & just keep “occupying”, playing the military industrial money game.
I know everyone doesn’t even give her a thought now thinking she could never get in this late and then win but I am still holding out that unexpected “situations” will happen that will propel her into this and either be our president in 2012 or 2016. She has said she would do that “rogue” thing if she thought the probable nominee couldn’t do the necessary job. She’s not crazy about Newt, Romney or Paul. However she’s said “anyone but Obama” — so………..only time will tell but I, for one would not be surprised..

I admit, Sarah Palin is attractive and can give a good speach. I think she’d make a good PTA President, and make a good mayor of a small town. But if she rose to the level of being governor of a state, such as Alaska, that would be rising above her level of competance, which she proved by quitting.

Sarah Palin isn’t running for President. She’s boosting her speaking fees by pretending to run, and perhaps hoping for more donations to SarahPac. But she’s not running. That’s silly, get over that.

Sarah drives you trolls insane; and I’ll tell you why this is true. She speaks the truth and she speaks it with courage. She knows more American history than JZS and ENCINOM combined (not too hard … since I’m talking about the real history, not poetry by Longfellow). I’ll bet she can shoot better than any democrat in congress. She has thicker “skin” than just about anyone out there because she’s been through trial by fire.

She doesn‘t have the accent of someone from Harvard or Yale and she doesn’t have the built-in bias either. She hasn’t been taught to be stupid like so many of you so called “enlightened-ones”. Read a little Plato perhaps … shall we say “The Apology” for example.

If you were in a fight for your life (and believe me, we are), who would you want in the trenches with you? Would you put your life in the hands of BHO? Hillary? Do you think they would fight for you? Do you think Newt would fight for you? Romney? Ron Paul?

Bachmann would fight to the death. Santorum would fight to the death. But Sarah would fight and win.

And you know what JZS? … This is what scares you and your kind the most: She has your number. She knows your “game”.

Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson ended his Republican presidential bid Wednesday, opting to run as the Libertarian Party’s candidate for president. He is encouraging supporters, however, to vote for Texas Rep. Ron Paul in upcoming GOP primary elections.

Johnson told The Daily Caller that his supporters should vote for Paul in primaries, but support his own candidacy in the general election.

“Yeah,” he told TheDC when asked if he believes supporters should vote for Paul — with whom he shares many libertarian policy positions.

No way should you even consider Ron Paul. Do you actually want to abdicate our leadership role in the world? Do you think France or Gemany will stand up to China or Russia, much less the Islamists? NO WAY! Somebody above called Palin a progressive. You don’t have a clue. Go away! Sarah had my vote, but she backed out. Period. She doesn’t have the time to become a serious contender, and she’s missed the debates, were she had a chance to make her case. Oh Well! Bachman and Santorum are our best choices. Maybe Sarah can take a shot some other time. She bailed out, and I, for one, was extremely disappointed. She just might have been able to get this country on the right path. Romney is a progressive. Gingrich has too much baggage and, and a record of left and right policiy decisions that confuse the heck out of me. We are at 16 T, and can’t afford too much compromise. It’s time to be hard core. Think carefully before you vote. Don’t rely on TV commercials to decide. If you don’t know much about middleeast foreign policy, talk to an experienced VET! Read up on the policies of Chaina and Russia, at least scratch the surface. They’re not our friends! We need a President that will clean out Wash DC. Choose wisely!

I think the problem with Sarah is not that she’s a progressive. I don’t believe that she is. Her problem is that she never stretched her focus beyond Alaskan State politics and quite frankly she didn’t understand the difference between a conservative and a neocon/RHINO. She was recruited by the progressives before she knew what they were. Call it uneducated, tone deaf, or whatever, I think her problem in the past is that she was simply (still is to a degree) uneducated according to what’s right and wrong laid next to the Constitution.

I really do believe she would be the establishments (both sides of the aisle) worst nightmare. Especially if she teamed with Ron Paul as his VP nomination.

I won’t be surprised either if Sarah steps back in. She could just be letting the media have the “fun” of winding out all of their suppositions. Then, when the lib-news-media is exhausted and at their ends, Sarah Might Just Take Her Place In America’s History.

The lib-media‘s all hung up on Newt vs Romney and that’s fine. The thing is, the libs don’t speak for the Heart of America. And, We Who Are The Great Grassroots Silent Majority, Which Is The Heart Of America, Are Just Biding Our Time.

Sarah Is BHO’s Worst NightMare! Sarah Steps In And BHO’s Sitting On The WA-DC Curbs And BHO Knows It!

I am confused. If your opinion is Palin is unqualified to be president, what is your opinion of Obama? That would logically make him less qualified than her, seeing she had more experience than he did before becoming president.

Don’t confuse me for a huge Palin fan. However, I might go rouge and write Hank Williams Sr. in on my ballot.

      Strange things are happening:
Iowa State Sen. Kent Sorenson Endorses Ron Paul for President

Former Iowa chairman for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann pivots to Paul camp citing, “Ron Paul has established himself as the clear choice.”

ANKENY, Iowa – 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul was endorsed today by Iowa State Senator Kent Sorenson (R-Indianola) in a major pivot that promises to give Paul extra momentum in the run-up to the January 3, 2012 Iowa Caucus.

In making his endorsement Sen. Sorenson is leaving his post as Iowa chairman for U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign here. The resignation and endorsement take effect immediately.

“Congressman Paul is delighted to accept the endorsement of Senator Kent Sorenson, whose blessing and assistance carry a great deal weight in Iowa. The fact that he doesn’t take this decision lightly tells a great deal about the Senator and Ron Paul. This endorsement is a rare find and we hope it pushes us nearer to our goal of a strong top-three finish at the January caucus,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Chairman Jesse Benton.

Kent Sorenson was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2011 and represents District 37 after serving in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2009 to 2011, representing District 74. The senator is a member of several committees including the Judiciary, Natural Resources and Environment, and State Government committees. He is also the rank

Palin is my darling, Palin is going to save us, despite ourselves. Palin plugs up demon-crat lies. Palin will fire and prosecute every B. Obama corrupt appointee, Czars included. Palin has come down from Alaska to wake U.S. up. Palin is Al Gore’s Hot-Hot nightmare, for Palin gives B.O. his B.O; Palin is real, not half this and part that. Palin gave back John Mc, his Dear John campaign letter. Palin has a real Birth Certificate, not like Barack Hussein Obama aka Barry Soetoro (of Muslim Indonesia-Kenyan clan fame), whatever, wherever, he lies a lot, yes he does and yes he does un-American things. If Sarah wanted to enter the race she should have done it several months ago—-with the debates we‘ve had people are focused on those who have declared and I would not be happy to see Sarah get in the race now as I don’t think she could win—-people hate the woman like the independents and all those who do not declare for Repubs! One simple question who makes the laws that we live by the president or the Congress? I can’t believe that I read all these responses bickering back and forth who would be the better president. Once again most on the blogs are fighting the wrong cause people wake up it is who sits in the Senate and the House of Representatives that passed the laws and the budgets and the reforms of the banks and the EPA and the FCC and the FEC you name it it does not come from the president! To change the country around we must be diligent in who is our representative as the president cannot do this on his own he must have the full body of Congress to back whatever he may want to instill as his policies or her policies nothing’s changed since the time of the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. But then just like the media always does they have you fighting back and forth on who was a progressive or whose a libertarian who was a green party in the meantime 1.2 trillion is being put forth to our Congress and not a peep about it. Have we lost our minds same with the NDAA did you do your part and write your Congressman and tell him you will be voted out if they don’t erase this as a Bill or law, let’s just fight back and forth who make the better candidate to run against the one now in office.

You comment is the only realistic comment I have read on this story, so far. Every single candidate is making campaign promises he/she can’t keep. The new POTUS will need a conservative Senate and House. I like Ron Paul’s elimination of Executive Departments, but he can’t do that independent of Congress since they established by law and only Congress makes laws. Not even Ronald Reagan could successfully eliminate the Department of Education.

Each of us needs to clearly identify the most conservative constitution-based candidate for any Senate or House seat open in our individual states and get actively involved. The reversal and return to the Constitution we all are clamoring for will be driven by Congress not the POTUS.

I hear ya Haddogy but this girl would rip DC apart. She is more conservative than them all and has the ****** to wake up America. Unfortunately for us the MSM hates her because she is so much of a threat to their secular agenda.

Vote smart if you want change.

If Palin jumped in, she’d have missed VA and other important state deadlines. She couldn’t build to a New Hampshire win even if she registers any percentage at all in the Iowa count.

Plenty of people are making the case that real change is ALREADY running….

I realize Mr Paul strikes an emotional cord withmany devoted followers….but what will he do for the economy? What has he demonstrated in the past for delegating authority and bringing minds together?

This country is a business, and it must needs be we place individuals in leadership rolls that will address such concernes. I have no fear with Paul’s foreign policy, I believe he would do what the country demands he to do in a time of an emergency. …I don’t think any of these candidate will ignore the Constitution as Obama and I believe Paul will shut down the border as would Romney. But lets not make a mistake here because of passion over examination, bigotry etc,….this election must be about the fiscal management of this country.

When that time comes for the moment of selection, the choice must be made for who can add and subtract the best….and this is a reference to industry and employment and illegals.

If we dont take care of the economy, nothing else matters; the nations is bankrupt, the wolves are at the door.

Yes, I understand the Ron Paul vote now.

      - Karl Marx had a lot of great ideas.
      - Americans are way too attached to their guns.
      - Hillary Clinton…I’d totally hit that.
      - US treasury bonds, what a great investment!
      - Abortion isn’t a big deal.
      - Why do people give Israel such a hard time?
      - My soul won’t rest until they find the guy who killed Tupac.
      - Homeschooling is weird.
      - There’s nothing special about gold.
      - The South had it coming.
      - The Constitution is completely outdated.
      - What this country really needs is a politically independent banking and currency regulator.
      — “Ron Paul”.

@bpopwell I agree, what about Ron Paul.

I like Sarah Palin… She just doesn’t have my vote. Anybody that jumps in the race now, or in the future hasn’t had to “Run the media gauntlet”. For better or for worse the MSM with it’s hated counter part the internet… Does a pretty good job of vetting a candidate. I don’t think Sarah will put herself through that again. SNL’s Tina Fey was pretty effective at slamming Sarah so hard, that the general public really didn’t know which Sarah said what, and what the msm did to her family? Unforgivable.

I won’t seriously consider anyone who jumps in the race from here on out. There is only one candidate that can and will put America back on the “restoration track” and that is Ron Paul.

Now we have @eagledown saying he would “hit” Hillary Clinton… He has mommy issues, along with a host of mental problems, I’m sure, but those are the scariest words I’ve seen typed on the blaze in months!

Paul has far too many serious flaws .. his one peek into sanity regards his fiscal views .. elsewhere voters will be repelled by his views and statements

Have you seen Santorum’s support in Iowa. He is now number third throwing Gingrich to fourth. If he gets the top three he will stay in the race. He needs support. We need to knock Ron Paul, the nut, out of Iowa. His support is coming from non-Republicans in a Republican Caucus. That shouldn’t be allowed and it needs to be slosed.

      Santorum is still in.
