If you’ve ever been curious about the salaries of some of the top executives at Media Matters for America, the progressive media watchdog group financed by George Soros, here you go.
The Poynter Institute, which provides resources and training for journalists, posted the salaries (after looking at the non-profits 990 tax form) of some of Media Matters’ top talent. According to IRS reports from the end of 2009,* Media Matters had net assets of $2,774,565 and listed the following annual salaries:
David Brock, chairman and CEO: $286,804
Eric Burns, president: $240,579
Tate Williams, chief of staff: $162,812
Eric Boehlert, senior fellow: $115,000
Ari Rabin-Havt, vice president of communications and strategy: $134,484
All that for declaring war on Fox News and throwing a victory party when Glenn Beck left the network in June.
Poynter also has the 2010 salaries for the conservative Media Research Center, which you can view here.
(H/T: Mediaite)
*The organization’s 2010 numbers have not yet been posted at Guidestar.org, according to Poynter.

Posted on August 17, 2011 at 4:15pmWhether non-profit, or for proft. Liberal (whether I like them or not) or Conservative. If someone is willing to pay somebody that much to do a job, who am I to gripe about it. My gripe is when people who make that much complain how it’s not enough (for whatever reason). If you sign a contract (NFL Players) then honor the contract, just like you’d expect the business too. With my current job/hours I make approximately $1.50 an hour, but it’s my choice, just like these jobs are theirs. Good for them, capitalism at its best.

Posted on August 17, 2011 at 4:32pmMatthew 20: Read Matthew 20:1-16. Seems rather clear to me in a nutshell – FROM THE MASTER, LORD, AND SAVIOR HIMSELF.
Don’t PICK OUT your verse. READ THE ENTIRE 16 VERSES to understand the two-fold understanding of Jesus’ words.
Naturally, libertards will send you to SOME of these verses when they talk of socialized justice, EXCEPT VERSES 15 AND 16, WHICH ARE CLEAR PRO-CAPITALIST VERSES. In other words, if YOU and I AGREE to an hourly wage and you complain later, then what does that say about you? And, besides, the money belongs to whomever owns the business, so he can do what he wants.
GIVE THESE TWO VERSES TO A PROGRESSIVE LIBERAL AND WATCH THEM SQUIRM.

These people have a right to make whatever money the owner (Soros) and the laborer agrees upon. At least they have a choice right now. If Obama got his way totally, you would have to accept whatever THEY tell you like a good Commie. So, take your choice here. I would say that anyone who complains about the salaries ANYONE makes is JEALOUS and you know what the Lord says about envy, don’t you? LOOK IT UP. I think everyone should stop a minute and think about YOUR MOTIVES for being angry at people like these. What are the REAL reasons? They are using CAPITALIST ideas for offering and receiving their salaries, so if that doesn’t make you angry, then what it is that does? HOW ABOUT THE FACT that Soros uses all these IRS rules to actually make a profit BECAUSE he is NOT an honest and good man, but an EVIL man. Be angry for how he has damaged this country using whatever means necessary to destroy it, not the fact that he pays his people well and you would get paid that if you had a Master’s degree, PHD, or were an expert in your field. Education is part of the Capitalist way. Communism and Marxism IS NOT. Stop and think about WHY you are angry and WHO you are angry at. Some of you just don’t make sense to me because I believe you act on EMOTIONS alone and not your good sense thinking. You are rationalizing your comments based on jealousy and anger. SHAME ON YOU. If you are a true conservative American, and I mean, A TRUE, HONEST, CONSERVATIVE AMERICAN, you will now see what I just said as true and be humbled by it. Now, if so, move on and re-evaluate your stand on things like this.

The progressive tax system is called that because it proceeds or progresses by steps or degrees, aka: the actual, initial definition of the word progressive.
