Want to See a Conservative, Former SNL Cast Member Grill Occupy Protesters?

When you read that Victoria Jackson went down to the Occupy Wall St. in New York City, you might wonder, who is that? But when you hear her voice, you will undoubtedly know who she is, even if you don’t know, well, who she is.

Jackson is the high-pitch-voiced former cast member of “Saturday Night Live.” She’s also a conservative, who once recorded the viral hit “There’s a Communist Living in the White House.” Now she’s at it again with another viral video.

In it, she interviews Occupy protesters while also trying to teach them (pseudo-Socratically) about Marxism, communism, and socialism. She even hands out a Jesus tract to her cab driver. She’s fearless, and isn’t afraid to ask plenty of questions. It’s quite the video — one that is best watched, not explained. Still, she’s not getting the best reviews.

The Hollywood Reporter notes:

Jackson’s 15-minute video starts off with some comments that many may find offensive, and give a preview for what’s to come in the rest of the video.

As she drives by the New York City skyline, she points out that the Twin Towers aren’t there anymore because “some Muslims flew into” them.

HuffPo explains it like this:

Once Jackson got down to the protests, she began interviewing both the protesters and those that happened to be passing by. She began by asking what they were protesting, then seizing on their responses. She often brought up President Obama’s connection to GE, calling him a Marxist and socialist.

“Right now, 50% of people pay taxes and 50% do not. So if everyone gets free stuff who is going to pay for it?” she asked one protester, who said the government “should end the wars and tax the super rich” to end the deficit. Her response? “Class warfare is Marxist.”

Continuing her argument with the same protester, she said, “If you want everyone to be equal, how are you going to make them equal in good looks and smart brains? Everyone’s not created equal.” She later called Van Jones a communist, and then said, “So you don’t think Obama is stirring up racial and class warfare and its straight out of Rules for Radicals written by Saul Alinsky?”

The Wrap writes:

With a religious tract in her hand and who knows what coursing though her veins, Jackson brought her version of the truth to the people — namely, that they’re making the Man Upstairs pretty upset with their anti-corporatist shenanigans.

“Jesus said a man should work for his living, not get a hand-out,” Jackson opines in the video.

Also, President Obama’s a Marxist — who’s also in bed with GE and the rest of our corporate overlords. And he’s a total  racist too.

Confused? You’re not the only one

And Entertainment Weekly has some of the questions she asked:

She basically ended up speaking with one bespectacled protestor. Here are just a few of her questions, presented verbatim:

1. “Don’t the rich people — aren’t they the ones that create all the jobs? Poor people don’t create jobs.”
2. “So you’re not concerned that [Obama] is a Marxist?”
3. “So if socialism is so good, why does everyone around the world come to our country?”
4. ”So right now 50 percent of Americans pay taxes, and 50 percent do not. So if everyone gets free stuff, who’s going to pay for it?”
5. “Okay, you want to everyone to be equal? How are you going make everyone equal in good looks and smart brains? Everyone’s not created equal.”

I mean, regardless of your politics, that’s just some solid comedy, right?

So now you know what some are saying about, and now it’s time for you to see it and decide for yourself:

What did you think? Let us know in the comments.

The man indicated he is a socialist democrat. They guy at the end of the video is clueless, and easily ignored, he indicated China is run by corporations and government is at the bottom? SAY WHAT!?! Anyways the first guy throughout the interview is so typical from a self professing Jesus Follower. COME on dude, JESUS did not force people to love him, he did not force people to help the poor, he did not advocate any of that, he said help the poor and the desolate, meaning the individual. WHat does it benefit a man to take his money unwillingly and give it to your good cause? Nothing. The VERSION, this guy made me laugh when he said you have a different version, come on dude this is part of the nuts and bolts of christianity, the lord loves a cheerful giver. I have never met an individual who was cheerful about giving money to the government for them to spend on whatever the deem important. GET A CLUE LIBS!

Lets put a earning cap on Hollywood and start with Matt Damon, Sean Penn, Danny Glover, Michael Moore, and Rosanne Barr. Also if they really want to get rid of guns because they are only evil then lets take start by taking the guns out of police officers and the security in Washington. If someone kills someone then we will do our best to prosecute them to the full extent of the law. If I don‘t have a right to protect myself then their lives are no more important that mine so they don’t need to be protected either.

I see her hair color went to her head. Of course those are nothing more than debunked talking points from fox. When State Taxes, Pay roll Taxes and sales tax are taken into account nearly all the nation pays taxes. The better question is that how as a nation can we except so many families earning so little that they are below the taxable income levels.

That was a great interview, because she picked someone who really could make the argument. I embrace capitalism and FAIR trade, however, the banksters do NOT practice capitalism. The current system does not allow those with power to fail when they make a mistake, the laws and regulations are written to prevent competition from others whom may have a better product or service to offer, the money in politics insures that the politicians are bought and paid for employees of the banks and large corporations. The government is dependent on the Federal Reserve for it’s funding (taxes no longer pay the bills).
Henry Ford knew he had to pay his workers enough money, so that they could afford the cars that they were making. Today’s multi-national corporations could care less about what the workers can afford. They find the absolute lowest cost of labor, regulation free place to make their product. Maximum profits= maximum bonus for management. Apple is an excellent example. Steve Jobs assumed that most people could afford to buy his Iproducts, so he had them made in China by $5/day workers at Foxconn. I could continue, but the best way for you Blazers to understand what is happening watch Sir James Goldsmith talk about it 20 years ago when GATT and NAFTA were being debated: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PQrz8F0dBI

America needs to split up and I mean that seriously. It’s obvious there are two groups of people in America that will NEVER come together. I say give Liberals everything north of the 38th parallel, divide the American debt 50/50 between the North and South, kick all Liberals out of the South and let them kick all Conservatives out of the North. I’m sick of these people and am tired of listening to them complain.

I loved his comment about reading a different bible than Ms Jackson. How true he spoke on this question. He is indeed reading a different version, the “jehoiakim” version, who cut up the Word with his knife and burned it… Jesus said “the poor you will always have; me you will not always have.“ It was Judas Iscariot who wanted to sell the expensive ointment given the Lord and ”give it to the poor”. Sounds like redistribution of wealth to me… Interesting is the comment made about Judas in that he wanted to do this not because he loved the poor but because he was a thief and ‘kept the bag’. This means he was the treasurer and would of course have helped himself to what was supposedly given to the“poor”. How some things never change! Jesus was NOT a marxist! The money changer scene was not about money but how the merchants were selling inferior articles that were supposed to be for the offerings made by the people. They were making money off religion and the people’s desire to live rightly. How some things never change! The one group the Lord repeatedly confronted were the religious creeps of His day who “made the word of God of non-effect by their religion”. Marx and his ilk have repeatedly done this over the last 160 years since the poor wretch published his work. The good news is that the Lord has overcome the world.
God bless Victoria Jackson and her boldness to lovingly confront people in their errors!

((When State Taxes, Pay roll Taxes and sales tax are taken into account nearly all the nation pays taxes. The better question is that how as a nation can we except so many families earning so little that they are below the taxable income levels.))

You are correct to say that everyone pays ‘some’ level of taxes in this country. But that is not the argument. You are twisting the argument just like the ‘rich are not paying their fair share’ crowd.

What do I mean you might be asking? Because we are talking about Federal taxes and the percentage that do not pay into it. The ‘eat the rich’ crowd is using the capital gains tax rate to place a misguided spotlight on ALL people making X amount of money or higher to further goals not exactly related to deficit reduction. I also want to remind you that not all the taxes you listed above go to the federal government, some are collected solely for the benefit of the state and local levels. There is no ‘federal sales tax’ (yet).

As for how we can accept so many people living on so little? Everyone in this country starts off with the same option to advance to a higher lifestyle. Just because you were born poor does not mean you will live your life poor or die poor. It’s all about choices, education (which the government has failed at), attitude, hard work, skill and the belief in yourself to succeed. Besides, compared to most of the world our ‘poor’ have it pretty darn good here, the only glass ceilin

The other thing that Jesus did was to teach people how to fish not how to beg. We need to teach and equip people to do for themselves not expect others to do it for them.

But here in lies the problem when you try and kill God with your secular humanism you kill charity. Statistically speaking, liberal left wing democrats don’t give to charity (yes I’m looking at you John Edwards, poster child for self absorption). And so when you have a society or a portion of society that doesn’t believe in Christ and Christian principles you have a society that is increasingly descending into selfishness. So the only way for that society to help the poor is to mandate it. I have a better idea. Why don’t we turn to Christ and use his plan instead. It’s a way better plan and has been for eons. Not only does his plan help the poor better but it helps families better and thus the overall health of the society. The alternative is selfishness and decadence and we all know what happened to Rome when that became the norm.

NOT the same a UNCLE SAM taking your tax dollar KEEPING IT..or YOU spending money YOU worked for on sales taxes.. I‘d like you spend someone else’s money on MY SALES TAX and would REALLY like to get ALL my tax dollars back and someone else’s .. God bless Victoria?? She was a total fail on the interview with the guy at 6:00 onward. He was IRON MAN and did a great job of intelligently answering everything. In other words, he made sense on about 90% of it, he did say he was a socialist (I am not), but most of you Tea Party types here are socialists already because you support the Public School system which takes half of our state budgets. We use other peoples money to educate other peoples kids. That’s socialism. They also use the system now to regularly indoctrinate the kids, so there you go. Be consistent. You are not.

Victoria did NOT help your cause, whatever your cause… this man, IRON MAN, made a ton of sense and explained it all very well. The fact that you disagree with him only shows your closed mind thinking that because your leaders say capitalism is the only consideration, you can forget about the poor. Jesus helped the poor. He fed 5000 one day, 5000 very hungry people. He also helped and healed those who could NOT help themselves. Jesus said those who don’t help are going to hell too, inasmuch as ye did it not unto one of the least of these, ye did it not unto me.

Thats plain. Thats clear. That’s in the bible. He said those non helpers depart into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT. There you go. Stop it with the PSEUDO Christianity already. You ignore the Bible You ignore Jesus’ teachings. He was not a capitalist.

Its OK to be a capitalist, I am one, but if you are a Christian, you have to balance that system with being truly charitable and truly helpful. 80% of this country identify as Christian, and it does NOT show. Its really easy. If you have 5 bucks, and a man asks you for help to get a meal, you don’t pull out a dime and say, “here, here you go, God bless” and he looks at you funny and wonders what kind of person you are.

I have been happy to give a 20 dollar bill and see the man light up, come back again and again, saying God bless you, and crying, and it was only 20 bucks. So all of you that give a dime, or a measly BUCK now and then, remember, you are NOT really helping the poor, you are only insulting the poor. You have to give enough to make a difference. People in this country give a 1000 bucks a year. That is not enough. That is not CHRISTIAN enough.

What if Jesus had only a few loaves and fishes, and when he fed the 5000 and they all got a decent helping through His miracle, what if he had been like many of you, and broke it all up so there were 5000 crumbs and each person there got a crumb? I will tell you. They would be hungry still. But Jesus made sure that they were FILLED.

There you go. Go and do likewise. Don’t criticize socialism, you do it already in schools, and more especially if you will NOT be a true 100% christian and truly GIVE what you can. SHARE.

      Symphonic,

Most of us DO NOT stand behind public education. We recognize it as a monumental failure. It has become unionized and real education has been replaced with leftist indoctrination. Kids graduate unprepared for life in the real world, and their heads are filled with the fantasies of the progressives running the system, which you can see in action at the “Occupy” demonstrations. If we can afford to do so we remove our children from it’s influence and enroll them in private schools, or we make the sacrifice to home school because we value our children’s minds. We have no choice but to fund the public schools because that funding is taken from us through taxes. We are not socialists, we are under tyranny.

The only way for the super-rich to bring down the rest of the economy is if the economy is based on fiat money. This was true for Rome, as well.

The cause of economic crashes is artificial credit expansion.

I said Rome’s fall was due to fiat money, but this is not precise. Nero debased the coins, which created an artificial expansion of credit.

The impurities deliberately added to the silver were, essentially, fiat money, since the whole coin was valued higher than the metals of which it was made.

But, of course, Joe Biden really never understood what the Bible is about is my guess, using the F word to the Prez while on camera and sound. He can read the Bible and never understand what it’s really saying. Easier to make up what you think it said than to believe Jesus.

The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity. I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that those general principles of Christianity are as eternal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God

I flatter myself you will be what I wish, but don’t be so much flatterer as to relax of your application – don’t forget to be a Christian. I have said much to you on this head, and I hope an indelible impression is made.

I, Charles Carroll. . . . give and bequeath my soul to God who gave it, my body to the earth, hoping that through and by the merits, sufferings, and mediation of my only Savior and Jesus Christ, I may be admitted into the Kingdom prepared by God for those who love, fear and truly serve Him.

The great, vital, and conservative element in our system is the belief of our people in the pure doctrines and the divine truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Had the people, during the Revolution, had a suspicion of any attempt to war against Christianity, that Revolution would have been strangled in its cradle… In this age, there can be no substitute for Christianity… That was the religion of the founders of the republic and they expected it to remain the religion of their descendants

[Governments] could not give the rights essential to happiness… We claim them from a higher source: from the King of kings, and Lord of all the earth

As to Jesus of Nazareth, my opinion of whom you particularly desire, I think the system of morals and His religion as He left them to us, the best the world ever saw or is likely to see

Sensible of the importance of Christian piety and virtue to the order and happiness of a state, I cannot but earnestly commend to you every measure for their support and encouragement.

Being a Christian… is a character which I prize far above all this world has or can boast

It becomes a people publicly to acknowledge the over-ruling hand of Divine Providence and their dependence upon the Supreme Being as their Creator and Merciful Preserver . . . and with becoming humility and sincere repentance to supplicate the pardon that we may obtain forgiveness through the merits and mediation of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

For my part, I am free and ready enough to declare that I think the Christian religion is a Divine institution; and I pray to God that I may never forget the precepts of His religion or suffer the appearance of an inconsistency in my principles and practice

Unto Him who is the author and giver of all good, I render sincere and humble thanks for His manifold and unmerited blessings, and especially for our redemption and salvation by His beloved Son. . . . Blessed be His holy name

[I] . . . am endeavoring . . . to attend to my own duty only as a Christian. . . . let us take care that our Christianity, though put to the test . . . be not shaken, and that our love for things really good wax not cold

A watchful eye must be kept on ourselves lest, while we are building ideal monuments of renown and bliss here, we neglect to have our names enrolled in the Annals of Heaven

I rejoice that the religion of Jesus prevails in your parts; I can tell you the same agreeable news from this quarter. Yesterday I returned from Piscataway in East Jersey, where was held a Baptist annual meeting (I think the largest I ever saw) but much more remarkable still for the Divine influences which God was pleased to grant. Fifteen were baptized; a number during the three days professed to experience a change of heart. Christians were remarkably quickened; multitudes appeared

I believe the Bible to be the written word of God and to contain in it the whole rule of faith and manners

To the eternal and only true God be all honor and glory, now and forever. Amen!

The great enemy of the salvation of man, in my opinion, never invented a more effective means of limiting Christianity from the world than by persuading mankind that it was improper to read the Bible at schools.

You KNOW just how much obama is damaging America when conservative celebrities come out of the woodwork! Just like us, they are usually too concerned about their “jobs” to “get involved.“ Some conservatives are ”too busy” working to take time to go vote. But, for celebrities, public speech could cost them 1/3 of their income for life! I am frequently critical of them for not speaking up, mostly due to the contrast between their silence and the VOCAL celebrities on the left. Problem is, lefties boycott everything and we do not. Now, I’m not calling for boycotts, but, thinking “aloud,” if we DID boycott everything like they do, there would be TWO smaller GE’s in the world – a DARK appliance maker and a GOOD appliance maker (ACME?) There would be the God-fearing, Patriotic hardware store, and, there would be the GREEN hardware store (where everything cost 10x as much, and falls apart in 1/10th the time, and is made out of hemp or bamboo).

First off, the 53% is only referring to federal income tax. The 47% pay other taxes such as state income, or sales tax. Anyway, I think this is a bit of a straw man argument. The protestors aren’t arguing that they should get “free stuff”. They are arguing for fair wages, and to remove corporate lobbyists from our government. I think a main cause for our difference of opinion is our definition of what people “earn”. For example, I consistently hear people on this site defending the rich by saying they earned their money. However, I feel that people who are rich get there because of their workers. I don’t feel that Bill Gates, for example, has worked so hard that he deserves enough net worth to pay EVERY American $185 and still be worth over a billion dollars, especially when there are probably people at Microsoft barely making enough money to get by. People with great ideas certainly do deserve to live comfortably, and it could be even argued that they shouldn’t have to do any work ever again once they become successful, but do you believe that they really “earned” an amount of money that is impossible to spend, even when people who work for them are barely living above the poverty line?

It is, the big little dirty secret that conservatives FAIL to admit, and they support it SO MUCH, and then bother us with fund raisers to send their kids on exotic trips. I say enough! I am not for that socialism and would like to STOP paying into it. Let people pay for their OWN education. Let the retired people stop having to pay taxes to educate other peoples kids. Let the childless not have to pay. You capitalist extremists are forgetting this little problem of the public school system you support so much, which takes HALF OUR MONEY. She always “played” the ditzy blonde on SNL and was very funny. She continues to “play” that part in a sneaky way now but, showing how intelligent she actually is. Love her too!

Vic is AWESOME, she‘s been at many TEA Party rallies and isn’t pompous and arrogant like most of the hollywierd crowd.

Why would you attack this woman’s character and call he dumb she is far from dumb she holds a degree .. she has worked as typist and a waitress .. yes she has actually “held a job” which is something those socialists leeching off the blood of others can never say.

They need to get there filthy lice infected bodies off the streets and contribute something other than “talk” and occupying space as their life goals!

      Answer #5
“Okay, you want to everyone to be equal? How are you going make everyone equal in good looks and smart brains?
I know how they did it in China, Cuba, Soviet union, Nazi Germany, etc. etc.
What is the plan to equalize everyone here?

You don’t get into Furman if you are dumb. I remember in the mid-80s that the entering freshman class there had an average SAT of 1260 (which, after “recentering” a few years later would be a 1350-1360).
