There is a lot of serious news out there, but sometimes we need a laugh break. The videos posted below are guaranteed to make you smile.
This was triggered by a short dance scene from “Way Out West” – a 1937 Laurel & Hardy movie which is now inspiring brilliance on the Internet and making people laugh all over the world. For the record, here’s the original scene from “Way Out West” (the dancing starts about 1:20 into the clip);
Yesterday, a friend sent me the same dance scene, but in this clip L&H are dancing to Santana 1970 recording of the Tito Puente classic “Oye Como Va:”
I laughed and laughed (and forwarded it to my email list) and then started looking for MORE.
Thankfully, the web has even more songs with Laurel and Hardy dancing. They are presented for your enjoyment.
For the classic rock fans, ZZ Top’s “Sharp Dressed Man:”
Pop music lovers will appreciate the fact that Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” works too:
How about something from the 80s? Don‘t miss The Gap Band’s “Party Train:”
One-Hit-Wonder Rockwell and “Somebody’s Watching Me:”
There are many, many more out there. These just happen to be a few of my favorites. We encourage you to find others and share them with your friends. We all can use a few laughs each day.
Bonus Clip!
Laurel and Hardy are not the only ones dancing to the new music… check out the Three Stooges and “Wipeout:”

Submitting your tip... please wait!

Posted on October 13, 2011 at 7:46pmTo me, I think the Party Train (Gap Band) music best fits the Laurel and Hardy dancing scene. I thoroughly enjoyed that one. And Wipeout was a clever one too. These 2 guys had real talent. It was innocent and fun. Thankfully their legacy is alive and well!! Thanks for sharing!!

Posted on October 12, 2011 at 10:14amAfter watching GBTV last night I put on a show of Laurel and Hardy in the Army. With all that is on my mind in my heart to sit and watch made me laugh and laugh. I was not able to see all of it but as a child we did watch the show. That tells you how old I am as well as the comedy that used to be. I have not enjoyed comedy in many years.
Report Post »Foul language acceptable to some and some would laugh just to hear it on tv.
Old fashioned comedy is better to get someone from tears to laughter.
I have watched GBTv every day and it is wonderful, worth every penny. If I could not join for the year I would of joined for a month just to check it out at 4.95.. Love you Glenn and thank you

Posted on October 11, 2011 at 9:11pmI always loved Laurel and Hardy. Their humor was so sweet and gentle. Never harsh. No more like them. Now we have Bill Mahr and his ugliness. Thanks Blaze for a lot of laughs.

Posted on October 11, 2011 at 11:52amI tried to get my kids to watch the Three Stooges, but there was just no appreciation for the slap-stick. Could be that they are all girls, too.

Posted on October 11, 2011 at 12:21pmNope, it’s not just because their girls… I can’t stand Three Stooges humor… I just sit there and think this is the most ridiculous UN-Funny thing I’ve ever seen. My wife absolutely loves them. I’m more of a Seinfeld guy…

Posted on October 11, 2011 at 2:35pmI don’t believe it is only a girl thing…My sisters and I grew up watching the Three Stooges with our brothers and have enjoyed their antics for years… Maybe it’s just that kids expect so much more from their “comedy” these days, and that keeps them from appreciating the art of “slapstick humor!! Of course, my favorite stooge is Moe!!!

Posted on October 11, 2011 at 11:14amWith all the crap that is reported it is nice to look back at yester year. Thanks Blaze. It takes a talent to conform our past film and coulter to today’s music.
Let’s make sure a hidden talent won’t be successful with our constitution and way of life.

Posted on October 11, 2011 at 11:03amAny question about the demographics of The Blaze? It‘s like suffering through those Shirley Temple DVD commercials on O’Reilly.
You’re old and desperate, but guess what, the world keeps spinning at 1,000 mph. And any minute now it’s gonna fling you off into the the great black unknown. And yet, you just don’t have the wisdom or the maturity or the faith to see it for what it is.
Keep yelling at the clouds, Tea Party buffoons. The Grim Reaper’s just around the corner. The future belongs to the young. It always has.

Posted on October 11, 2011 at 3:13pmGood-Head, if you happen to be in the financial area of wall street and see a few oldsters in crisp suits walking briskly to their office, look for the ones about 57-65 years old, ask them how they dressed when they were in their early twenties; they will most likely say “like you!”. IF for one moment, you think that spreading the wealth will lead to a Utopia, you and the people around you need a serious shower: the smell is warping your sense of reality. When “you” spread the wealth, “someone” inevitably will blow their money too fast and demand more, and where does that come from? Oh, everybody pitch in x$ for dumby-dumb a$$ over here, he spent all his money on the latest Fity-sent CD and other crap; and the cycle goes on. The Hippies of the 60-70’s figured it out, you don’t appreciate what you have until you earn it. Stop crying! Earning it is not as painful as it sounds, some even excel at it, they are called successful, not Suck-the-life-out-OF. My parents and some of the most successful friends I have in their early sixties were hippies, most of them are in the financial market in some way and we live nowhere near wall street!
