Want to See Facebook Founder’s Private Photos? Glitch Makes it Possible

Although you‘re about to see about how one of Facebook’s flaws exposed its own founder’s private photos, there’s no need to worry about your photo security at this point as Facebook has already fixed the flaw.
Here are some photos released from Mark Zuckerberg’s profile. Guess what: he posts photos just like the rest of us:
Here’s what happened before the flaw was fixed. On a body building forum — an odd location for this sort of instruction — someone posted step-by-step instructions about how to capitalize on a glitch that would let you see someone’s private Facebook pictures, according to Business Insider. Here’s how it worked:
- Pick someone whose photos you want to view
- Report the person’s profile photo as inappropriate
- Give nudity or pornography as the reason for it being inappropriate
- Check “Help us take action by selecting additional photos to include with your report”
- Right click any other image from the person’s profile and open it in a new tab to view the full image
Although Facebook has already disabled the “Help us take action” option that would allow one to see additional photos, it was still enough time for someone to turn the tables on Facebook’s own CEO.
Before the post, called “I teach you how to view private Facebook photos” according to Fox News, on the body building forum was removed and the flaw fixed, CNET reported that it only worked on some profiles but not others. Facebook provided this statement to CNET:
“Earlier today, we discovered a bug in one of our reporting flows that allows people to report multiple instances of inappropriate content simultaneously. The bug was a result of one of our most recent code pushes and was live for a limited period of time. Not all content was accessible, rather a small number of one’s photos. Upon discovering the bug, we immediately disabled the system, and will only return functionality once we can confirm the bug has been fixed.”
Check out more of Zuckerberg’s pictures here.
All this comes on the heels of Facebook’s FTC settlement last week over charges that the company misled users about the privacy of their personal information. In the settlement, Facebook submitted to 20 years of audits and providing users with opt-in (instead of opt-out) capability when changes to security features are made. Interestingly, it was announced this week that Facebook has picked the name for its new address in Menlo Park, Calif., and it’s an odd choice for a site that has had many security problems and issues with user privacy. According to Tech Crunch (via Gawker) Facebook headquarters is now 1 Hacker Way.
Facebook also recently wrapped up a job audition for hackers to find a place within its company. Facebook’s Hackathon, according to Wired, has 14 schools invited to participate. Doing well in the hackathon isn’t an automatic job offer, but Wired reports that it gives candidates an edge in the hiring process with the company. This year a team from Princeton University won for an app it created called Accessorize.

Posted on December 7, 2011 at 10:47amIronic (maybe just funny) that it looks like Obama is giving Zuckerberg tips….it needs to go the other way around. Zuckerberg is worth $17.5 billion and creates jobs.
He is also creating his own currency on FB, Facebook Credits, which will soon be worth more than the US Dollar. Perhaps he can sell Facebook Treasuries to the Chinese too.

Posted on December 7, 2011 at 3:05amAh yes. Good old Facebook. Someday it will be reflected back on and known as the government spying stooge in which everyone “volunteered” to be spied upon because Facebook was all the rage and hip. The government doesn’t need subpoenas anymore when places like Facebook will divulge everything about you to the government upon a verbal request. Also, Suckerberg most likely killed that chicken since he was learning how to slaughter animals as one of the things he wanted to learn about (he also slit the throat of a goat). Facebook is nothing but a spying site disguised as a fun, hip, trendy website.

From THE REPORTER

In this day and age you can go to any supermarket in the U.S. and buy all the chicken you want in every shape, size and form. You can stuff your freezer full if you desire. For someone as rich as this punk is to slaughter his own chickens should tell everyone that there is something radically wrong with him. He brags about the killing of his “stock.”
Take a good look at this homely kid, would you want him as your neighbor knowing he was slaughtering animals that he was raising.
Our society is sick, oh so sick when a two-bit ma ma’s boy is idolized and worshiped just because he got lucky and developed a web-site. Take a look at the mess in his kitchen and tell me if he isn’t a first class slob?
Those of you that are on Facebook contribute to this punk’s lifestyle but wait a minute, nah ! you‘re too smart for that aren’t you, you dumb pizza eating, sports junkie imbeciles.
Johnny Cocheroo
Posted on December 6, 2011 at 4:34pmSeriously – you’re upset about him killing his own chickens?
If I “get lucky” and become insanely rich, I’d probably own my own farm too. Anyways, I’d be willing to bet his own stock lives in conditions much better than the stock we eat from McDonalds, Burger King & even supermarkets.
I’m kinda curious why he chooses (if he really does) to raise his own stock. A guy with all the money in the world is raising his own food instead of buying it from major producers….. does he know something we don’t?

Look, I’m not on facebook, I was, but I removed my account. I don’t really like all of my details being out there, so it’s gone, but I would hardly call him a boy-wonder who got lucky. He did something that he wanted to do, and apparently, lots of other people wanted this too. Why should he be called a punk and other names because he was an entrepreneur? I say good for him and what he wants to do, if you don’t want any part of it, just don’t sign up. End of story.

Posted on December 6, 2011 at 4:43pm@GUITAR MASTER …
Just because you can go to the grocery store and buy all your food …“in this day and age” doesn’t mean you are obligated to do so. There ain‘t nothin’ wrong with raising or growing your own food. In fact, it’s probably a better thing to do (than buying it from the grocery store). It’s food storage that reproduces itself. :)
Eventually, if you want to eat what you’ve raised or grown, you have to harvest what you’ve raised or grown.

Posted on December 6, 2011 at 5:21pmAre you one of those nut job animal rights donks? There is absolutely nothing wrong with raising you own food. It tastes better and you know what went into it. So, instead of raising your own food, you support factory farms? What a lame brain dolt you are.

“Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.”
Report Post »To covet is to have the strong desire for the possession of others’ specific personal properties or relationships, going beyond simply admiring someone Else’s possessions or thinking “I’d like to have one of those.” Coveting includes envy – resenting the fact that others have what you don’t.
