First lady Michelle Obama marked the second anniversary of her “Let’s Move” campaign with some new moves of her own, giving “the platypus walk” a spin Saturday at Disney World’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
The Orlando, Fla. visit was part of a three-day tour to celebrate her campaign against childhood obesity.
According to the Associated Press, the groove was inspired by Disney’s “Phineas and Ferb” show, whose characters include Perry the Platypus:
It required some flapping of flippers, or arms if you’re human, shuffling left and right and yanking limbs up and down, all to a pulsing rock beat.
“You guys know I like to dance, I haven‘t completely gotten the dance down but I’m going to watch you all,” Obama told the crowd before the music started.
Watch below:
Last month, Obama appeared on the Nickelodeon children’s television show “iCarly” and showed off more of her dancing moves:

The nerve, the gall, of someone so fat to support healthier eating for Americans! What a fat PIG! For goodness sakes, she’s ask Rush Limbaugh for dieting advice, a guy whose footsteps sometimes trigger false tsunami warnings. I’m not about to listen to some fat woman tell me that I or my child should eat more fruits and vegetables. First Lady’s have traditionally supported a cause, like, in Laura Bush’s case, childhood reading. But the very idea, the communist idea, that American children should eat healthier ought to give everyone pause, despite the fact that 1/4 are to fat to join the military.
Sorry Mrs. Fatso Obama. We don’t need you trying to change American culture. So what if we’re the most morbidly fat nation on earth? I wouldn’t trade a 100 pounds of obesity to lose my freedom as an American to eat fried foods. Take your “dietary guidelines” to Bangladesh where they will be more fully appreciated.

Yes, and further south, in Sub-Sharan Africa, they were preoccupied with doing the Watusi around the campfire most of the day and night instead of planting crops to sustain themselves.
Maybe that’s why they never invented even the wheel or a written language. They thought dancing was much more important.

As much as I”m grateful for and respect our servicemen, it’s not really their place to execute justice. It’s up to Congress to impeach. Well, members of Senate & the House are in on the game too. You falsely accuse conservatives of opposing healthy lifestyles while ignoring that we only oppose mandates that remove person choice/responsibility from the individual and places those in the hands of government.
What would result from following Mrs. Obama’s eating preferences? Healthy lifestyles, reduction of illnesses/and chronic health problems, lower long term health care cost? Those results could only be positive and benefit the individual and community, agreed?
Your stated goal is to expose conservative inconsistencies and offer opposing viewpoints so I would like your Liberal opinion. You express disapproval with Christians spreading their beliefs to non-believers.
What would the results of living a biblically moral life? Caring for the poor, loving your neighbor as yourself, and a healthy lifestyle by treating your body as a temple? Each result could only be positive and benefit the individual and community, especially the poor community, agreed?
In the name of consistency, would you advocate for mandating the Christian lifestyle against the will of the individual to the benefit the community as a whole, especially the poor community, or do you pick and choose what you could support based off your ideology?

Do you know that he also referred to the opposition party, Republicans, as the “enemy”? Do you know that, during a discussion concerning opposition tactics he said” If they (Republicans) bring a knife, we’ll bring a gun? Everything I said is the truth and easily accessed on the internet from reliable news outlets. How can you expect those opposed to his policies, which is better than half of the country, to have any respect for someone who holds them in such utter contempt. I don’t remember any elected official, much less the president , to have ever spoken so horribly of and to so many Americans. He is a hateful, horrible person not worthy of the office he holds much less even a scintilla of respect and the sooner he leaves office the better.

Posted on February 12, 2012 at 10:41pmSPECK, you lost me when you said, “You express disapproval with Christians spreading their beliefs to non-believers.” But I’ll get back to that.
As you know, every thread here about Michelle Obama trying to reduce childhood morbidity and promote healthy eating is met with derision, and many if not most comments center around the First Lady’s weight (hence my sarcasm). Same line the am talk show hosts follow. Corrrect me if I’m wrong, but you never object to that mockery of the First Lady, nor her promotion of healthy eating have you? If you have an opinion about the First Lady’s promotion of healthy eating, please, SPECK, post it here so we’ll all know where you stand as childhood obesity and healthy eating.
Second, where did you get the idea that I’m not a Christian or that I object to Christians spreading the word of Christ? Not from anything I’ve posted here, although you may think you know what I “really think” by “reading between the lines.”
In the name of consistancy, explain to me how you vote against America being a Christian country and, in your words, “Caring for the poor, loving your neighbor as yourself, and a healthy lifestyle by treating your body as a temple.” If we are a Christian country, why don’t we act like one?

I reflected on you post and your right. I take back that “you express disapproval with Christians spreading their belief.” I’ll get to the main point of that post.
Would you advocate for government mandating the Christian lifestyle, against the will of some individuals, in light that it can only result in positive outcomes for the individual and would benefit the community as a whole, especially the poor community. If not, why?
I will address your other questions after your answer the above question because I think you will fill in my answers with your response. If that’s not the case I will gladly post and make it known where I stand on the issues you question.

If that example was to abstract for my ole uncle JZS I will have to adjust my opinion of you. I will play your game but let me make some preliminary assumptions. You would not support any mandates that remove your personal choice on any issues you disagree with.
For brevity, one example is below.
Would you support and advocate for a restricting adults from any sexual activities out of wedlock? This would benefit the individual, possible child, and community as a whole, especially the poor community. There are no perceivable negatives in this example that I can see.
Would you support? If not, why?

Posted on February 13, 2012 at 10:10pmSpeck, you’re being cute. I’ve read Socrates (Plato’s recollections of his conversations actually) and one thing is certain, you are no Socrates. You ask me if I am in favor of the law supporting a “Christian lifestyle.” Do mean sacrificing animals to please the Lord or stoning to death women who aren’t virgins on their wedding night? Or are you excluding the Old Testament from your definition of “Christian lifestyle?” Laws are, or should be, specific to a defined behavior. You want to talk about a law, then let’s talk about a law, not “play a game” as you say.
You’ve built into your example the premise that a law again sex outside of marriage would benefit society. I disagree. I disagree with your premise that a law – and don‘t forget we’re talking about a government law, not behavior – “would benefit the individual, possible child, and community as a whole…” You state that as a fact. A law – and a penality I assume – against sex outside marriage would be beneficial to the country, that’s your premise. That’s a false premise. Laws don’t prevent people from having sex, even sex that might hurt the individual. Besides being unenforceable. I think you’re trying to ask me something else. What is it? Declare yourself! Sounds like you have the entire line of argument worked out in head. Let’s hear it. Instead of trying your version of the Socratic method, just give me your opinion.

I just wanted a yes/no answer to explain conservative’s objections to Mrs. O’s health initiatives using your logic, so you couldn’t disagree.
You said, “I disagree with your premise”
Laws aren’t enacted based on if John Doe agrees. I lived next to an alcoholic who disagreed with the premise that he shouldn’t ride his lawnmower across town drunk to the liquor store since his license was revoked. His opinion didn’t matter.
I think you don’t mind the government mandating personal choice issues as long as you’re in favor.
No one, except for a lunatic here or there, oppose Mrs. O’s health initiative because it will help kids. We oppose it because people should be able to decide what type of sandwich to send with their kids to school without a state employee deeming it un-nutritious and not allowing the kid to eat it, but you know that.
http://www.carolinajournal.com/exclusives/homemade-lunch-replaced-with-cafeteria-nuggets.html
Now, if you’re getting your news about conservative dislike for the health initiative from the same news source that tricked you into believing Santorum supports contraception bans, I understand. It is probably the reason you’re unaware of the proposed NY salt ban. Remember when you told me there was no such salt ban proposal. That is was made up to trick the uninformed. I still laugh when I think about it.

Posted on February 12, 2012 at 12:01pmFair enough. I have no particular problem with Nancy Reagan (I mean, I disagreed with her husband’s policies but I never wished them any ill will), but I’m saying that First Ladies serve a public-relations function that sometimes requires them to get out there and promote some universally-admired policy, and sometimes the appearances are a little silly; remember when Mrs. Reagan appeared on the TV show Diff’rent Strokes to promote her “Just Say No” (to drugs) campaign? In retrospect, that appearance is a little weird to the extent that most of the actors on that show died of drug overdoses. Laura Bush was on Sesame Street. So you don’t like Mrs. Obama. Fine. Does that mean she needs to be subjected to racist insults (and please don‘t tell me the big butt comments aren’t racist) and over-the-top remarks about what a disgusting, corrupt person she is? And I am not accusing you personally of saying anything racist, because I can’t see that you did, but lots of other people did. As for the First Lady’s authority in the White House, it is common knowledge that Mrs. Reagan played a significant role in policy decisions during Reagan’s term. She had Don Regan fired, among many other things, which is arguably a more direct intervention in the political process than anything Mrs. Obama has done. Hillary Clinton is a different story, admittedly.

Report Post »This lady is actually a big part of Curious George’s decisions.
What a joke, when has this country ever had a first lady with no clue, no class and the back side of a porch? Yep, she is all of that and then some. What happened to the days when the first lady was not in the natiional news spewing her agenda? She is a bigger narcisit than Curious George!
Wake up America!!

Posted on February 12, 2012 at 10:04amI‘d be dancing too if I took 10’s of millions of dollars worth of vacations in the last few years, didn’t spend my own money for them, all the while despising the people who made it possible for me, theeling them how they should live and somehow being beyond reproach. Amazing
