Was a ‘Church-Going Daddy‘s Girl’ Arrested Because She Likes to Blow Up Toilets on Her Property?

A college student in Georgia is sitting in jail following a raid on her family home by the FBI, ATF and officers from several local law enforcement agencies.

23-year-old Celia Savage has been charged with illegally possessing a destructive device, as well as possession of a firearm while being an unlawful user of a controlled substance. Her father says she is not guilty.
The multi-agency raid was conducted at the family’s home in Cornelia, Ga. on May 30. Ms. Savage was arrested and charged, due to arraigned Friday in federal court. The hearing was postponed to next week. Until then, she remains in jail, held without bond.
The FBI alleges that Ms. Savage admitted to making as many as seven pipe bombs and exploding them as a “hobby.” Until late Friday, there was a YouTube video purporting to show Savage lighting a fuse on a bomb that would explode a commode in the woods.

The video of the exploding toilet has since been “removed by user.”

Reviewing Celia Savage’s Facebook postings (below), one can see why authorities might have cause to speak with her. In her personal information, she posted the following:
Savage also describes herself as a Christian and an anarchist and then adds some quotes that reflect her philosophy.
Many are wondering why a multi-agency raid with a “small army” was needed. Perhaps it was the quotes Ms. Savage posted that raised the feds’ eyebrows. Or was this something else?

One online supporter alleged the raid was triggered by a personal dispute. He wrote that a call to the ATF was made by someone holding a grudge against the young lady:
This is not a girl that “they” have been watching for years and following her because she is “shady” (yeah right)…this is a girl that last week someone decided to make a call to authorities and destroy her life because of a personal vendetta…This is so sad…I wish you the best

According to several news reports, both father and daughter share a general dislike of intrusive government agencies. Tommy Savage has been quoted as saying:
“I think everybody ought to be able to stay on their property, do whatever the heck they want to… I wish the government would stay out of her business or my business or whoever’s.”
The Blaze did speak with Tommy Savage about the situation with his daughter. He said he was not able to release any public statements, but did maintain his belief that his child is innocent.

I don’t agree or tolerate any individual infringing on any other persons free will, those people have no place in an orderly society and should be placed firmly behind the iron bars. But until a person does just that, infringe on another’s rights, I will stand, AND SPEAK, for their independence and rights to speak and act as however they wish, even if it’s not something I would ever promote saying or doing.

Glenn Beck said it years ago. A small govt is the imperative, because only a big govt has the power to oppress you. Think about that the next time your stooge republican votes for a security law or a $500 billion defense bill.
This govt is hostile toward us and we are giving it an unlimited budget and unlimited authority to eliminate us.
For those who think it’s Obama and not the size of govt, look at the republicans track record for holding a majority in washington, pitiful. And, remember Janet Reno. Remember how the ATF murdered Randy Weaver’s wife and child. Remember Elian Gonzolez and how they sold him out for political purposes. Remember that they burned the Waco compound to the ground with the women and children inside without a trial, and remember how they tried to cover up the fire claiming that the smoke grenades could not start a fire.
The strategy in washington is to declare war on citizens with so much as a court order or trial and kill them or detain them without bail, to make an example of them and ensure than Americans are afraid of their govt.

During one of our meetings the CID agent that I was with got so frustrated that he just jumped up and we left. (I think mine actually said, “Political Views: Constitutionalist or Anarchist”) Although it is true Religion and “total” Anarchy are not compatible that is not her views. This young lady stated her Political Views as Anarchist and Religious Views as Christian. I believe there is no conflict there. A strong individual that adheres to the Word and has Christ in their heart does not need a Political system to restrain them (or a brick & mortar Church for that matter). Saying she could have infringed on someones right, does not mean she did. Report Post »I agree with you 100%. I suppose my caveat would be pick & choose your battles. My experience in the realm of free speech and consequences involves a former employer. A couple years back, I wrote a letter to the editor of the local paper as a private citizen. I did not identify my employer or profession; per the paper’s policy, I was identified by name and general location.
The letter I wrote addressed the futility of compelling addicted persons into substance abuse treatment centers &, even more wasteful, into state mental health hospitals not trained to address substance abuse. The letter was well-receieved by the community in general, but not by my fat, authoritarian boss & his fat, obnoxious assistant. Now, there had been examples in the past of how the agency in question asserted it owned you & your opinion, but I figured I’m one guy speaking his opinion without attacking any person or entity. I was just pointing out the futility of forcing people either into tx or sending them away for 3-5 days at the expense of taxpayers. Letter is read by boss; Gooch gets fired for “representing self in a manner damaging to agency.”
In short, I lost my job & sent another letter that got printed. The 2nd letter addressed my employer directly & I rec’d a lot of support from it. I had my vindication in print, but no job. Lean times, brother. The state stood by me with unemployment, but that was about it. I still have a voice… but I do not trust.

The problem with expressing (exposing?) yourself so openly on the Internet is that it takes but one jacked up busybody to assert you’re either offensive or dangerous. As a heterosexual, conservative-leaning, libertarian male, I ALWAYS have to be on guard at work as I’m generally the turd in the punch bowl in my field (mental health/social services). You had better develop a warning system as to who is out to target folks who do not carry the same water as them and who LOVE to see people they disagree with suffer.
I’ll engage people in my office to varying degrees on social issues. For the most part, I now work with a decent group of people and have a likable & understanding boss. However, the closest agency office to my home office is headed by a militant, mean-spirited lesbian. I’m not sure what she brings to the agency that is of benefit to the population served (& no one else can seem to answer that question), but I know to steer well clear of her based on our few necessary interactions. I would engage this peron outside of the office in debate (& possible fisticuffs… she brags about working as a bouncer), but in the work setting it will be, “Yes, ma’am”, “No, ma’am.” This big gal is out for blood & she holds PC cards I don’t. That’s reality.
I get your frustration. I’ve lived it & breathed it. Restraint, in my opinion, is not cowardice. There is a time & place for all things.

I just can’t be silent when violence and evil are perpetrated on someone who has never hurt someone else or their liberties; or has made or stated reasonable plans to do so. Especially when it’s so very obvious that those who have perpetrated that evil are the ones with the very real plans, and power, to continue doing so. It’s not right, and that needs to be said. And there’s no better time than when that happens to point it out. That‘s all I’m saying here.
I don’t think anybody in this thread is is mean spirited, or even wrong or right, myself and opinions included. I just think it’s a debate that needs to be had, and should be had now IMO. Much easier to express this discourse when such discourse is still allowed. When it is not, I will likely shut up to save my own ass. Or I will say, I will not comply. I’ll make that decision should that time ever come, just like everyone else.
It’s just this story really does bring a very big and important question to light.
Do you have the right to do as you please so long as you don’t harm or infringe on the rights, lives, and potential happiness of someone else? Yes or No.

We need women like her that will be strong when the Government starts targetting its citizens, which is why they are targeting her, and people like her, first. She hasn’t hurt a single sole and yet the federal government is putting her on trial? For what, pre-crimes? I’m sorry folks, the revolution isn’t coming, it’s here, and only one side is fighting right now.
I thought I’d never say this in my lifetime, but state governments need to show leadership, protect their citizens, and begin the secession process. I’m sorry, the contact that constitutes the states union with one another handing over limited power to a central governance has already been seceded by the central governance and our state leadership needs to show its people, and the rest of the world, it doesn‘t believe that’s what’s best for the people. It‘s required I’m afraid.

NO ONE’S.
Who is infringing on her liberty though? Federal bureaucratic agencies. This is a clear cut case of federal authorities stepping outside of what’s constitutional, they are testing their limits by stepping outside of their limits.
And who is to say she’s confused? She sounds like she knows pretty damn well what she believes and she has a God given right to believe it. People really need to wake up, or next time, it’ll be you, or your son or daughter, that’s targeted by the federal power grabbers.
