Was Romney Ahead of the Curve on Muslim Brotherhood? Beck & Co-Hosts Think He Just Might Have Been

Say what you will about Mitt Romney, Glenn Beck and his radio co-hosts Pat Gray and Stu Burguiere gave the GOP presidential candidate kudos on Wednesday for having predicted the dangers of the Muslim Brotherhood as much as five years ago. They also said that Romney is on the right side of this issue and “won’t throw Israel under the bus.”
Citing a clip from 2007 in which Romney said he wouldn’t buy into the liberal narrative that the war on terror hinges on one enemy, Osama bin Laden. Rather, the former Massachusetts governor said that the nation must be mindful of all militant Islamic groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood, who are seeking the destruction of the West.
Beck and his co-hosts noted that it was a “really good” moment for Romney, and the fact that his statement is five years old might even make it all the more impactful.
“He knows the Middle East” and “he knows what’s going on,” Beck said of Romney. He added that while he doesn’t know precisely what a President Romney would do to address the problem with Iran, he does know that Romney “won’t throw Israel under the bus.”
“And I know he’s not going to appoint Muslim Brotherhood to the Department of Homeland Security.”
The topic then turned to Iran and what the current options are for thwarting the country’s nuclear ambitions. Some have even suggested deploying an EMP, which, given the device’s devastating capabilities, the crew thought was a fairly monstrous option.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 7:37pmBush proved that Republicans are UNTRUSTABLE. They say one thing, once in office do another. That is who Rommney will be. Why can’t conservatives get it throught their head that BOTH parties work for the shadow 1%, who run the goverment no matter what party is in office.
PL is the only candidate that is a TRUE conservative and is CONSISTENT. He is not part of the 1% cabal.
Romney is not consistent and once in power he will HAVE to do the 1%ers bidding. Bush lied to us about everything. WHY because his true agenda was the agenda of the 1%. NO MORE REPUBLICANS OR DEMOCRATS. Both houses have to be fumigated of those that held offices in the party. FRESH non-office holders not beholden to the 1%ers need to replace the good old boys network.
Report Post »Why is Kerry/Kissinger/Carter/Clinton still on the face of planet politiciking they got voted out of office. ANS: They are working for the shadow government….who is using them in their ONE world government set up.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 5:28pmThis is because Romney hired and gets advice from Walid Phares. Phares is an anti-Muslim militia supporting islamophobic conspiracy theorists who thinks that our educational system is infiltrated with Islam-friendly indoctrination, and that Muslims had heavily infiltrated the US defense and intelligence departments. Phares was an intellectual supporter of a group called “Kill a Palestinian and you Shall Enter Paradise”, as well as a member of a Christian militia that reportedly took part in “the 1982 massacre of civilian men, women, and children at the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps.”
Other than Phares, Romney’s foreign policy team is largely made up of Bushites (as is his economic team). I’m not surprised that Beck is rallying behind him on this front.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 6:26pmTrueamerican… I have read a good portion of the Qu’ran, but not all of it. Probably about half. How much of it have you read? (You‘ll surprise me if you don’t avoid answering this). I’ve also taken several courses on Islam and the history of West Asia. I haven’t read the communist manifesto. What does reading these two books have to do with Walid Phares and my analysis of his theories? Do you care to make a cogent argument?… or did you just see one word of my comment and decide to make a sophomoric statement to make yourself feel good?

That’s just plain ignorant. Neither Romney nor his parents have any connection with the Weather underground, Van Jones, or any of that bunch. They don’t even want Romney to complete their plan. 0bama has started implementing it and they want him to finish it.
Romney doesn‘t to be aware of what’s going on with them. How the hell do you think he would complete the plan?

Federal Aviation Administration Act
National Defense Authorization Act
Patriot Act
Oh Yes! They all voted for them. Oh do you like them apples? You Freedom loving Conservative.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 4:04pmLOL @ the Paul Bots. Yes Paul did foresee the economic stress but had differing comments on 9/11 and his allies on 9/11 are truthers so I cant comment either way on that one. Romney’s comments IS big for the campaign as he will easily hit the magic number of delegates when California votes later on. Romney should use this and attack the Islamist he has in his administration. Paul wouldnt have done that because Islam isnt a threat to him or the country in his mind its the US Military.
Like Ive said before on FB, I support Ron Paul’s domestic policies ten fold (wish he was a lil more on the attack of entitlements rather than just all defense spending) but he is worlds away from the mainstream on Foreign Policy. Spam me if you want but seriously, Total Isolationism, or as you guys modified the word “Non-Interventionism” is fantasy period.
Report Post »GilbertAcct
Posted on May 9, 2012 at 5:41pmHaha… you think Paulbots modified the word isolationism into non-interventionism? You are dead wrong on this one. Did the Paulbots somehow go back in time and change every dictionary ever printed? Isolationism is the product of both non-interventionism AND protectionism. Yes Paul is a non-interventionist, but Romney is a protectionist. So I guess you could say Paul is half isolationist, and Romney is half isolationist. It is people like you who pin this negative term onto Paul when it is actually very inaccurate.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 4:04pmRomney may be the best conservatives can front against Obummer, but I find it hard to believe Romney understands Mormonism and still is one.
The doctrines of the Mormon Church are LOL. The doctrines are so strange how can anyone personally take ownership of the beliefs after a deep study?
Just saying. I know some will be quick to jump on this read but I am open minded and studied the doctrines in depth for myself. Mormon doctrine is no way Christian doctrine. They are two distinct beliefs. Joseph Smith made everything up. The whole religion is based upon one man’s stories.
Report Post »If the Mormon religion were true, I would be quick to embrace it because I recogize the importance of eternal life. Mormoms are caught up in the emotional appeal acts of religion create, the feel good stuff, and this is what usually traps most.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 3:58pmThe administration is going back to their video archives to figure out if there’s anything left of this president to sell. One thing left is that middle name. Hussein. Because if he has Hussein as a middle name, surely he’ll be the best man to negotiate with the Middle East. Surely America won’t be attacked or terrorized again because of that middle name.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 3:44pmLOL no one is throwing Israel under the bus. Israel is being threatened by third rate armies. They would wipe the floor with the entire middle east without our help. They have done it before, they can do it again. Now If China or Russia wanted to attack Israel I can see us getting involved. Our military cannot stop terrorist attacks in Israel.
Speaking of being right, maybe if we start listening to Ron Paul who has been right on all of these issues we could save our republic. Quit giving money to the PLO and Eygpt. When we entwine our selves with these countries we cause more problems than we solve. The Muslim countries will never be our friends or friends with Israel.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 4:19pmMuslims are not a threat to America unless you let unproductive trash in. seriously i am sick of these false flags attacks like 9/11 which was controlled demolition by how the towers fell. to scare people into increasing security by companies selling their stuff to goverment for money and these corporations paying off gov’t to make these attacks happen. if you want to know who to watch out for, look out for bald folks in blue and brown uniform with a gun and badge, your more likely to get attacked by them than a Muslim because of the totalitarian fascist laws there forced to enforce. false flag attacks of course being used to take away our rights and oppress law abiding citizens.

Posted on May 9, 2012 at 4:27pmAgreed. I will be voting for Romney but not because he is the BEST suited, but because he isn’t hell bent on destroying America. He may be skewed and off, and even a progressive, but when you measure that against a communist/muslim brotherhood supporter..you get the point. We need to stop investing in Egypt and the PLO as said as this is only causing us deeper problems.

Report Post »What you have said about Russia and China is precisely right. I personally, as a supporter of Israel, am perfectly fine with letting Israel take care of Iran by itself. Our role should and must be making sure that Russia doesn’t try to intervene. That’s what the US did in 1967 and it was the right decision then.
