Wasserman Schultz Admits Even Her Jewish Friends and Family Doubt Obama’s Support for Israel

Debbie Wasserman Schultz Says Her Jewish Relatives Doubt Barack Obamas Support for IsraelDNC chair and Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is among President Obama’s staunchest Jewish supporters yet even she is having difficulty convincing her own Jewish friends and family that Obama is a friend of the Jewish State.

In an op-ed published Wednesday in the Florida Jewish Journal titled, No Smearing a True Friend, Wasserman Schultz admits that her friends and family often forward her emails while questioning the president’s support for Israel.

“I hear the rumors, too,” Wasserman Schultz wrote.

“I receive the dubious email forwards from friends and family. But no smear campaign can change the fact that the President has not wavered in his support for the Jewish state and effort to curb the Iranian nuclear program.”

In her op-ed, Wasserman Schultz made a long-winded case that Obama is essentially the most pro-Israel president to date, writing:

Part of that pact means standing up for Israel when no one else will, which is precisely what the president has done time and again before the international community. And when it comes to Iran’s nuclear-weapons capability, the president is unshakable in his message: if you threaten Israel, you will find yourself isolated from the rest of the world.

Thanks to President Obama’s strongest-ever sanctions on Iran — an international effort that has crippled Iran’s economy and weakened its tyrannical leaders — that is already happening. This pressure has come in the form of robust multilateral sanctions, which the president convinced China and Russia to support, and comprehensive, unilateral American sanctions that he has signed and implemented during the past three years.

She added that Obama has “stood shoulder to shoulder with Israel in international forums, and executed a tenacious diplomatic strategy to counter efforts to delegitimize Israel. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has recognized the president’s ongoing defense of Israel as “a badge of honor.”

After multiple other paragraphs citing instances of “proof” that the president is a friend of Israel, Wasserman Schultz went on the offensive with GOP detractors, writing:

“These are the facts. Many on the other side, including the Republican candidates, don’t want this truth out there.”

They [conservatives] simply want to manipulate the president’s record for political gain. I believe they have chosen this path because their own records on domestic and social issues are so far out of touch with Americans’ vision of fairness and equality and the values that the Jewish community holds dear. Republicans know that they can’t appeal to the Jewish community on domestic issues, so they mischaracterize President Obama’s stellar record on Israel to sow seeds of doubt.

“As a member of Congress, the chair of the Democratic Party, and an American Jew who brings my love of Israel to work with me every day, I am proud that our president has protected and strengthened our unbreakable friendship with Israel,” she closed.

Wasserman Schultz’s office did not respond to a request from The Washington Free Beacon for comment on the exact nature of said emails, nor did her office respond when asked which elements of Iran’s nuclear program are “sinister” and which are not. The Beacon astutely notes, however, that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has zero doubts about Iran’s nuclear program, stating in a speech recently that “Responsible leaders should not bet the security of their countries on the bet that the world’s most dangerous regimes won’t use the worlds most dangerous weapons.”

      Israel is not a state of these United States. Israel is not an economic power. Israel is not rich in natural resources. Israel has nothing but heartache to offer the American people. Israel is damaging to America’s reputation. Israel isolates America.

      All this is true, yet 99% of the talking heads, news anchors, radio talk show hosts, press people, politicians… all must declare their allegiance to this no nothing, ethnic purity seeking, nation.

      What else does one require to prove that this minority is controlling the majority? Israel‘s interests are not America’s interests, and in reality, they are, more often than not, counter to America’s interests.

      Since when is Israel not an economic power? Have you seen what their GDP is? Do you know how much is made in Israel? The cell phone was invented in Israel. Many computer processors are produced in Israel. Israel has more to offer the world than the rest of the Middle East. All those countries have is oil. And as for not being rich in “natural resources”, how many states in the Union have few, if any natural resources? NYC is home to millions of people and has next to nothing in “natural resources”. Unless of course you count people as natural resources.

You are sitting at a computer that uses technology from Israel, If you have a modern cell phone, you are using technology from Israel, The fruits and vegetables your mommy gets from the “big store” has been using agricultural engeering from Israel for almost 40 years. If you were thinking about getting laser eye surgery thank Israel. The stomach ache you had. The doctor used ultra sound technology from, guess who? Israel.       One thing that really bothers me is the constant grovelling to Jews. Jews are 3% of the population yet everyone running for office from President to Senator to Congressman has to bow down and kiss the ring and tell the Jews that America will follow Israel right off a cliff. I am not Jewish and I have no stake in Israel. I really don’t care about it. I wouldn‘t have a problem with Israel if we weren’t so joined at the hip. I find myself resenting Israel and Jews at large for all the problems America is getting caught up in in the middle east. Its time we got ourselves out of that cluster**** in the middle east. These conflicts are not our problem.

    I think there is some hope that the American “liberal” Jews are starting to get it.
    Two of my friends who are Jewish in NJ and NY have told me that their Rabbis (who usually support obama and his administration) have started questioning and criticizing the president during their services…a first for both of them to have experienced.
    Now if they will only start to get the message in Florida, we can get rid of washerwoman slutz and her feurher…

      I’m not sure the liberal Jews have gotten the message yet that the only thing one can count on from this admin. is political speeches. A recent poll suggested that BO has only lost 7 percent of the Jewish vote, and that leaves him with 65 percent of their vote that he garnered last time. Israel gives the world a great deal with their innovations. Not to mention that the entire world is blessed because she was created to be a light to the rest of the world, in the word of the living G-d. People bemoan the fact that we have Israel’s back. Would they want our only mideastern ally to have our back, since they are the best intelligence source we have in that region? Israel is under constant attack from her neighbors, and now has to watch Iran continue with a program designed to wipe it’s nation off the face of the earth. Now, it is revealed that long range missiles are being delivered to Iran, that can reach Alaska. Will we want this ally to have our backs, and share intelligence with us. All I would say to Ms. Shultz, is DUHHHHH!!!
