The website Red State sets up this clip better than I can, so I’ll step out of the way and let Caleb Howe take it from here:
I just … I don’t even … wut? The [below] video shows Democrat State Senator Gene Jeffress, who is running for Congress in Arkansas against Republican Tom Cotton, answering a question about healthcare. The first weird thing Jeffres did was get down on his knees in front of a woman, like maybe he was going to whisper the secret 11 herbs and spices to her. The second weird thing he did was assert that Germany has provided for the healthcare of their citizens for “centuries”. No wait, sorry. The first weird thing he did was to choose to wear that suit.
Then he told a story. A story about a woman who stood up and told him that “Senator, I don’t want to pay for no more n*gger babies.” About which our courageous civil rights leader stated “You know what that really sounds to me like? Racism.”
I’ll add this: he also promises to pray for a woman’s granddaughter, not because it’s political, but because it’s “Christian.” See for yourself below (note: some of it is hard to hear, so you might want to listen using headphones):

Helping others is Christian. DO unto others as you would have done unto yourself is Christian. Theft, however is Criminal. Taking from one is a crime and giving it to another does not erase the crime.
Thou shall not steal, covet thy neighbor’s goods, bear false witness or kill! It seems to me that the Democrat party, communists, socialists, marxists, liberals are defined by the breaking of those commandments, yet they call others unChristian.

Report Post »I moved to Louisiana a few months ago when I got married. I escaped the likes of Jeffress and Governor Booboo. So glad I have a real conservative for a Governor now!.
Oh and I haven’t read all the comments, but I’m sure there were some redneck and hillbilly comments. There always is. Everybody likes to make fun of southerners. I get it. We lost the war. Yeah, yeah. Do we have to keep paying for that? Enough venting. I’m good.

I don’t even live in the south, rather far upstate NY where we don’t even NEED air conditioners most of the summer, but I understand the heat and humidity in the south, and NOT EVERY BUILDING HAS AIR CONDITIONING THERE!
You “city guys” who walk around in black head to two all year round don’t have a clue! You “city rats” come to upstate and walk our rural roads, without “street lights” in your all-black duds, and don’t know to “walk facing traffic, bicycle with traffic,” so you either cause a near-miss accident or actually get killed, and the driver is the one to suffer city stupidity.
I was a row house kid from Philly, I know the city, and know the country and I know the South (that‘s why I don’t live there!). But you write an ariticle from your “protected little viewpoint” and pick on the one thing that I can say, this many is being smart about, keeping cool in his dress.
Gee–dress properly in the summer and need less airconditioning. AND, put on some clothes in the winter–you know, sweaters, sweatshirts, blouces and shirts will collars and long-sleeves, and turn down the heat and keep yourself warm.
Sorry, I know this is being petty, but you, Jonathan, are a dork!

I was born in the deep South, although I have lived in California, Florida, NC, and Upstate, NY. I have to admit that I was stationed at Ft Drum for a while and I loved it up there. Frankly, with a different accent, the people were as friendly and down to earth much like here. I’ve always read your posts with great understanding, and have always had a good understanding of how you must have come up with your site name. Looking forward to reading more of your future posts.

The UK cannot make socialized medicine work – the care gets worse and worse, but costs continue to go up. There are articles out there about it, but not in the US press.
