Watch an Iowa Coffee House Owner Toss a Group of Occupiers Out of Her Shop

A group of Occupy protesters attempted to make a stand Friday in a Des Moines, Iowa coffee shop ahead of a planned appearance by Newt Gingrich.
The shop‘s owner wasn’t having it.
According to Yahoo! News, four or five protesters stood chanting in the middle of the crowded shop before she told them to leave.
“I’m asking you to leave! You need to leave now!” Java Joe’s owner Amy Brehm shouted at one man with a red “Occupy the Caucuses” T-shirt. “You’re not allowed to ever come back. You’re trespassing.”
It took a few moments, but protesters complied, escorted out by police.
“I just had to shut it down, I couldn’t stand it,” Brehm told Yahoo! after they left. “We all have our rights, but not in my place.”
Afterward, the protesters took their message outside the shop, as captured in this Des Moines Register video:
The so-called “Occupy the Caucuses” movement has vowed to gather hundreds of protesters in Iowa ahead of the state’s Tuesday caucuses. Protesters have been arrested in front of both Mitt Romney and Ron Paul’s Des Moines headquarters.

“We all have our rights, but your rights end at the threshold of violating my rights, which is disorderly conduct in my place of business where me and my employees make a living and my customers come to have coffee in a non-disruptive atmosphere! The rights violators are the OWS thugs, not my place of business.”
That being said, she showed she had a pair. Good for her. Did you hear in the clip that CNN called the police, not the store owner? Do you think CNN was there to help the coffee shop? I just read on Drudge that somehow OWS got the Pasadena Police department to let them enter a “float” at the end of the Rose Parade-AFTER all the other floats and bands have passed by. Dance, puppets. Or have the guts to stand up to the idiots on BOTH sides (the racists, the propagandists, the stupidly violent) and don’t make a world for children that chews them up and spits them out.
When you can’t meet people on the battlefield of ideas out of some sense of self-righteous manifest destiny, you are doomed to repeat the past. It’s sad to see some folks so readily regress to the behavior of troglodytes. I’m all for self-defense, but this is the old “sticks and stones” saying at play.

Some of you fellas don’t seem to have clear differentiation between civil discourse, self-defense and assault. Nevertheless, even if you stand on the jury to defend one against another headcracker, that is not much concilation to the one whose head is cracked. You also try to equate the reaction on both sides but as you stated so well, the left has done this much more exponentially. Likewise, despite the rhetoric, I doubt there are many on the right who would resort to violence first for simply off hand remarks. If you want to point to history, I think that the demonstrations of violence have much more often come from the protests of the left than the right ala the TEA party vs. the OWS people. So, as I said, to try and create a moral equivalency here between the right and the left attempts to make each side just as bad and as history has shown us, that never has been the case and just muddies the waters as to what is really happening.
