Here he is bragging about what he’s accomplished with the auto makers. But yet he has effectively killed the oil and gas industry. How the heck are you suppose to drive your vehicle if you can’t afford the fuel to put in it. Way to go obummer in chief.

@heavyduty, i can not believe he still has a shoulder , because he slapped himself so hard with praise, for losing millions and millions of taxpayers money, but that is a good thing to a liberal.

The one man who put his faith in Chrys / GM and hands in the pocket of “The People” to feed his union needs. How can one stand up and lie to The People like this? Coming soon to your town, people will not have money to buy cars. Its your vote, don’t drink the Kool-Aid.

You are so right…under Bush I had five Pontiacs! Barry and boy wonder closed down my division and ruined my favorite auto manufacturer with union thugs. Fast forward to 2011…..I have four Ford and my one 2007 V-8 Pontiac left.

I love going down the road in my son’s F-250 with a V-10! Funny how Volts and Prius slipped to the side when they see a “Blue Oval” filling up their back window!

I look at it his way I am keeping the planet green by feeding the plants with CO-2! I do it one tank at a time!

Yea, I’d like to hear it, will he blame Bush again? Will he pitch the idea of more taxes on the rich and play the race card again. For once I’d like him to stand up like a man and take responsibility for the dismal economy, admit he’s been wrong and take the heat, then and only then would I begin to think favorabably of him. I can’t remember being more disappointed in a president.

“Exactly .. he is singing to the UNION choir .. how about going to an unemployment office and making this same speech! I think they would have a whole different attitude. Obama is a coward.”

The coward are the GOP governors that have slashed unemployment benefits from 26 weeks to 23 or less weeks because as they say people don’t want to work and would rather collect $240.00 a week then work, forgetting the unemployed have mortgages, rents, credit cards, utilities and car payments that total much more the approximate $1,000.00 they receive a month in benefits.

By the way, the unemployment rate went higher under Bush then with President Obama.
      Jan. 2008 unemployment at 5.0%
Feb 2009 unemployment at 7.8% (Bush leaves and President Obama takes office)
Highest rate under President Obama is 10.0%

Bush unemployment rate rose 2.8 points and raising while President Obama unemployment rate rose 2.2 points and going down.

The only thing I have to say about Mr Obama is the people who voted him into office along with his cronies and czars is this:

You wanted the hope and change he lied to you about; now you have the truth of it.

This nation had people howl for a change of leadership, they wanted a king maker.

Now see the fulfillment come to life.

I hate to point out a flaw in your analysis but Inauguration day is 20 Jan 2009 not February. Unemployment rate was 7.6% not 7.8%. So it would actually be Bush 2.6 point difference and Obama 2.4 points so far. In case you missed the truth unemployment went UP again today. Also keep in mind under Bush the media would include underemployed which if we include that under Obama real unemployment is around 16%.
