1. Their money is in a trust which most likely is protected from taxes so they won’t pay any more taxes.
2. if they want to be charitable then nothing is stopping them from giving more of their money away … so why don’t they?
3. Lets see, could they be protecting their wealth by paying more in taxes and asking us to do so too? Could they perhaps be willing to pay a little more in taxes to protect their principal.
Why yes, I think so. Do they own a lot of US bonds and Corporate Bonds and Stocks?
So then, what happens when interest rates suddenly/dramatically go up or if bond ratings drop? Why their bonds go down in value; perhaps far more than what the added taxation amount could be?
What happens to the stock market when interest rates suddenly/dramatically go up? It goes down.
What happens when the value of the dollar drops, their bonds mature and the money they are given is worth less.
So, all this is just another load of BS designed to protect the value of the investments of the super wealthy and raise taxes on the rest of us.
Don’t be fooled, the best thing for the small guy is lower taxes and less regulations which means less government.
Sure if you borrow money you’re going to get hurt if rates go up. However, those businesses owners who don’t borrow will do very well and help to turn the economy around.

Unless things change dramatically and soon, the left will retake the whole kit and cabootle in the house, senate, and white house and the real nightmare shall begin full force and with utter ferocity as nothing will be able to stop them.

Lie #2 was when he said with a smile that 80% of the American people are on the same page as him (paraphrasing here). Actually the whole news conference was a lie.

Which is exactly what they want to happen because then they will offer up a plan that will solve the problems of ALL countries.

This guy is all talk he will have a plan in front of him and will again live up to his nickname of being Pres Crybaby and storm out because what HE WANTS wont be in it. He wants to tax the rich while keeping all pyramid scheme social programs in place at status quo! I get it why McConnell wants to give him the juice to do what he wants. 1 it shows he has no plan 2 if he listens to the dems the plan would more or less finally screw the nation/people and they would get destroyed in ‘12 election. I think its a dangerous move but maybe they should call his bluff at this point.
