I don’t know what time his latest speech started however I assumed he would be fashionable/annoyably/condescendingly late again. Per the comments I gather I was right.
As to the content I did manage to catch live – perhaps we’d be better off with less “speechifying” and more education for the administration that seems uninterested in checkinig out history and how things have worked or failed. I am also tired of being talked down to.

Posted on September 19, 2011 at 11:19amDeja vu all over again. The Grand Bargain Obama talks about repeatedly is nothing more than a tax and spend program. It is based on tax increases today and spending cuts over the next 10 years. Of course, this will never work because no Congress can restrain the spending of subsequent Congresses.
And heaven help us if Obama leaves us seniors to the perfidy of the insurance industry. He thinks it is much preferable to establish his Medicare group to determine the cost effectiveness of treating us old codgers. If you don’t work, you don’t get that heart bypass.
I have never gotten a job from a poor person. Obama wants to take another $trillion out of the private economy through taxation, not to mention another $trillion from excessive regulations. And corporations DO NOT PAY INCOME TAX. Every tax on a corporation is considered an expense. That expense, like payroll and utilities, is included in the price charged for the company’s goods or services. So the CUSTOMERS PAY THE CORPORATE TAX.
I know I am the only person in America who is sick and tired of the pronouncements of Warren Buffett about tax rates on the “rich.” His company is currently fighting billions of dollars of corporate income tax from years past. Why is he fighting to avoid paying his “fair share?” And the CEO of GE, who happens to be the Obama jobs czar, is transferring jobs and technology to China while paying no corporate income tax on billions of income.

Yes, it is class warfare no matter how many times he says it isn’t.
Did he give all of his assets, his family’s assets to the govt.? No? I see.
Communism and Socialism seem to be more important to some people who apparently don’t like this country. However, even though they don’t work, they keep pushing them. I suppose they could move to North Korea but they‘d rather ruin what’s good here. No one ever said America was perfect but it IS the reason people flock here instead of staying in their home countries.

He’s playing to the bi-partisan crowd who don‘t have strong opinions and who don’t really pay attention to details. This should create enough sound bites for the next news cycle. The NASDAQ is loving this speech. It’s really rising markedly.

but to keep things going as is, forget it. You lead by example. Name ONE thing that this pres
has spent less on since taking office…one single sacrifice that he and his family have made?
(Not in comparison to former presidents even, in comparison to the depression days, which he claims this equates to in his financial challenge for the country)
I heard, on FOX none the less, over the weekend (streaming info) that the recession officially ended in June ‘09 AND that the avg. American household has increased their personal value by 15%!
I don’t know of ONE person who can say that – not one.
