Posted on April 29, 2011 at 7:30amThis was a nice bit of escapism. For just a little while we got away from the terrorists, the bombings, the political fighting, Obama, etc.
Report Post »This is a British custom. It’s not ours. So what? She’s a beautiful young lady whose life is about to change.
If you don’t want to watch it, we still live in a free country, and for now you have the freedom to change the channel.
Oh, by the way, I didn’t watch it either.

Posted on April 29, 2011 at 7:58amStill, the British are our best and most staunch ally. Let’s not belittle their long traditions and sneer at them. We have a President who does that already, we need to assume a bit more class and dignity than he has.

Posted on April 29, 2011 at 7:20amAmerica has become a small pathetic country filled with hate and deceit. Clowns and carnival barkers are now mistaken for leaders and prophets. Our liberties are being removed by a Republican party whose desperation for power is repeatedly diminishing the middle class. People here find any reason to insult our President and to belittle anyone (child or adult) who is not white.
Report Post »Old Vermonter

Report Post »Would you care to giveus details on how Republicans are the ones removing our freedoms? By trying to get back to the Constitution?
I will agree the Republicans are indeed part of the problem, but you left out another party who is trying to shred the Constitution.

Posted on April 29, 2011 at 7:41amHey Bringback..you claim Republicans belittle a child. Shall we go into what Democrat do TO a child, even before it’s born. Then of course there is the Democrat Hollywood hero, Roman Polanski, and what a Democrat can do to a child they allow to live.

I generally have a certain level of disdain for the royals. The two sons here however seem to be turning out to be decent, upstanding men despite their parentage, at least at this point in time. We’ll see what the future holds.
As I have a great amount of respect for the British and the U.K. in general, I have to say that I’m glad to see them asserting their national culture again with such grandeur and pageantry. Given trends, it may be one of the last times we see this kind of thing from them.

Because the British still think it serves a purpose in our world even though it doesn’t anymore, what good is a royal wedding if it serves no purposes after it’s done? So a man and a woman got married, psh, so what? Hundreds of people get married every month, we don’t see THOSE get reported in the media now do we?
From my stand point, this is just a wedding, nothing more (sorry, but I don‘t subscribe to the monarch and think it’s a useless system in our modern world)

Posted on April 29, 2011 at 8:41amCall us old fashioned, but some of us can’t get into the excitement of any wedding AFTER the fellow and woman have shacked up. In this case, since the dude was a prince, do you call it a Royal shack up with wedding to follow? What unforgivable prudes some of us are!
Report Post »JJ Coolay
Posted on April 29, 2011 at 8:54amSo what do you suggest, Hobo—- just remain unmarried and keep shacking up?
Report Post »Hobo Boondocks
Posted on April 29, 2011 at 10:10amBy no means! JJ Coolay. We prudes suggest that they get married first, but that’s their business. We simply can’t get behind the pomp and ceremony associated with a wedding that seems to be an afterthought. Nevertheless, it is our sincere hope that the marriage will be nothing but joyous, something that his mother evidently experienced little with his father.

Rev 9:13 Sixth Trumpet: The Angels from the Euphrates
13 Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” 15 So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. 17 And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone.
