Watch the Touching Romney Biographical Tribute Aired at GOP Convention

Stay up-to-date on all the convention news by visiting TheBlaze’s dedicated RNC page. Also find out how you can watch exclusive, live reports and analysis on TheBlaze TV here.

The Republican National Convention aired a touching biographical tribute to GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney prior to his nomination acceptance speech on Thursday.

In the video, Romney and his wife, Ann, discuss their marriage, kids and how the couple struggled when Ann was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, providing a rare glimpse into who Romney is as a man, not a politician.

“Probably the toughest time in my life was standing there with Ann, as we hugged each other and the diagnosis came,” Romney says. “I‘m happy in life as long as I’ve got my soul mate with me.”

Sheesh Blaze?!? Why are you posting this CENSORED version from PBS? At the beginning of this version, the PBS people are talking over Mitt’s very important first sentence “I’m a guy who believes in the vision of the founding fathers.” Try posting the whole video from the RNC.

When comparing people – you have to compare “best” with “best”. You can‘t compare one person’s “worst” to another person’s “best”.

The fact is that Romney’s “worst” is better than Obama’s “best”.

Meg–These two men, Romney/Ryan are showing honor, integrety, love for country, ALL people, faith, and courage, as this campaign moves forward. I believe from what has been said and shown from them, that they are the ones who will begin to get our country started back in the right direction. With the mess we are in right now, miracles won’t happen overnight, but we have got to start in Nov.
Go see the movie 2016, Obama’s America, and if you have any doubts, this should show you what needs to be done. God Bless America, God bless Romney/Ryan.

I love how you ignorant people expose a flaw or to about Romney and then treat it as gospel in how his presidency will become. Experience and success come from vast amount of failure as you learn more while failing and trying again then you will ever from getting lucky and guessing right. Romney was not my first choice but I support a man that tried, failed and tried some more. Get off your high horse hypocrites and understand the vast majority of you don‘t measure up to his ability as I don’t either.

Almost as touching as the “tribute” to Ron Paul, eh? I can see what’s going on here, and it is simply the same tack as the last election, with only a name change. Last election it was “anyone but Bush” and this election, it’s “anyone but Obama!”

Dream on, sheeple – Romney and Obama are two sides of the same coin. And the sad thing is that Obama has done his work well – there is NOTHING Romney can do to recover this economy. Obama has put us so far in the hole that it would take hundreds of years to recover. Check the stats for yourself: http://youtu.be/EW5IdwltaAc

My advice: prepare for the worse, because it’s coming. Hope you’re stocking up with food, water and ammo, because you ain’t seen nothing yet!

I fundementally disagree Mr. Paine. You make sweeping generalizations. You choose to find negetive in every part of your life. I can’t live me life that way. I will control what I can control, and plead to God to control what I can’t control.

While Mitt Romney doesn’t fit 100% of my polital/policy views, he fits most of them. But even more important than that, his person is what gives me hope! I believe him to be a man of integrity. An honest man who loves his wife, his family, America and the AMERICAN PEOPLE! He is God fearing, loves service, and is humble. When was the last time you saw a humble leader. They are so rare.

He has incredible business experience. He knows how to fix broken things! And with God’s help I believe he can fix our broken America.

Make your attitude and your vote a matter of prayer. Humble yourself before the Lord and ask for his divine guidence in your life. Not only will be more happy, but you will have hope.

TPaine, you are so fatalistic. And as long as you will be such, you will be unhappy. I firmly believe that we can change this and that Obama and his minions does not have to claim victory over us because of the mess he got us into. Mitt can do this, will do this, even without you. But it would be better to do it with you. Fight for America, don’t give up for America!

Let’s at least try and give these men a chance. Stand strong with them and keep reminding them that the people of this country own this nation and they work for us not the other way around. And pray for our leaders that they will keep the promises they make and do the right things for the country and our people. I will keep my faith and hope and I do feel that these men will get us on the right track.

We know what we have is not working, so we need to do a “re-start.” Both of these men come across as strong, compassionate, honorable men who have integrity and tenacity. They’ve both proven themselves in other areas. All things we need in our leaders right now. I’m praying for their health and success!!! After all, if they succeed, we all succeed.

Meg– I know from the bottom of my heart that if Romney/Ryan wins this election, we will all be shocked at the change forGOOD, that will start taking place. These two are God fearing, humble people, that with their faith and courage will turn this country around fast as possible. It will not come overnight because of the damage that has been done the past 3 plus years. But if they get elected, we will be at the start of getting America back on track, the way it is meant to be. God Bless America, and God Bless Romney/Ryan.

Not on their views on Constitutionalism. The only real difference I see favorable to Romney is his regulatory and energy policies, if he has the guts to stand up to the media and the tree huggers. His foreign policy is worse than Obama’s. Granted they both suck, but I think any gains Romney makes with his energy policy will be offset by his military adventurism. Either way we’re probably going to be more in debt, fight more bs wars and lose more freedom. He and the RNC have demonstrated their character already with what they’ve done in the primaries and convention. If you have to cheat to win, you’re a loser. Another characteristic he and Obama share. I believe many of GB’s fans fall for rhetoric too easily.

Here’s the tip of the iceberg:

D’Souza claims that TARP and the federal bailout were programs that “Obama launched.” Both programs began under the Bush administration.

D‘Souza claims Obama went by the name Barack to adopt his father’s “African identity,“ but Obama has explicitly said his name change ”was not some assertion of my African roots.”

D’Souza insists that references in Obama speeches to a “nuclear-free world“ are evidence of ”anti-colonialism,” but Ronald Reagan made multiple references to the same concept.

D’Souza claimed that Obama supported the release of the Lockerbie bomber because he sometimes “supports the release of terrorists who claim to be fighting wars of liberation against American aggression.” But the Obama administration formally opposed the release in an official letter from the State Department.

D’Souza claimed that Obama referred to BP as “British Petroleum” in a May 2010 speech. He never did.

The list goes on and on. But Michael Moore, he’s evil. You’re a toad.

Ann Romney said, “If you want to know how a person will operate, look at how they live their life”.

But I say, “if you want to know how a politician will operate, look at their record”. Mitt Romney leads a good life, but when it comes to politics – his record sucks.

Yes, let’s look at his record. A master at turning failed companies around. Mastered turning an Olympics around. Mastered turning a state from a $3 billion deficit to a $2 billion surplus. He moved the state more conservative, which is quite amazing with a veto proof 85% liberal legislature.

His record isn’t perfect, but it is a far cry from what many Ron Paul fans say it is. whyromney.com

Well said Machtyn. Governing conservatively in one of the most liberal states in the Union is different from governing in a conservative state. You have to give work with the other side to get done what’s most important. If I was in a conservative state, I’d give a little room on social issues to restore fiscal soundness in the state and completely turn around the state. They went from deeply upside down to a 2 Billion rainy day fund. They are went from almost last in education to the top in the nation. His numerous “fiscal pro’s“ vastly outweigh his ”so-called social cons”.
