Watch This First Ever MRI Footage of a Baby’s Birth

Just a few weeks ago, the Blaze brought you a video of the first ever MRI footage of twins interacting in the womb. Now, the first MRI video of childbirth in action has been released.
Taken by a team from Charité University Hospital in Berlin, the footage of the 2010 birth, which has only recently been released, shows what New Scientist explains as the second stage of labor.

According to the team’s paper in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, published in 2011 with only MRI images, you can see in the video the mother’s “expulsive efforts” and the amniotic membranes that are still intact. It also explains that later in the delivery, the MRI was stopped so the newborn‘s ears wouldn’t be exposed to the loud MRI noise. Other than the noise, MRI is considered safe to view the mother and the fetus’ anatomy in this manner.

At some point, the team led by Christian Bamberg hopes to use MRI to capture the first stage of labor as well.

Posted on June 30, 2012 at 1:28pmI did this 8 times. Labor & delivery (while it does have it’s rough moments, I had 8 back labors), is the most amazing feeling. It is like time stops and you are engaged in the most elemental activity of your whole life. I’m really sorry to sound like these “we are one with the earth types”, but strangely enough it really does feel like that. And a baby slipping from your body out into the world is the most amazing feeling. After that, for some reason you don’t fear death as much. I know that sounds odd, but birth is the death of the wordless, secret conversation you have been having with another small human being that no one else is really vividly aware is there yet, even people who know you are pregnant. So on some really elementary level, you come to feel that no one ever actually dies, because the end of one thing is always the beginning of another. You can’t destroy matter, so why should anything be able to destroy spirit? Any way being pregnant and giving birth eight times was pretty amazing. And I got lucky, they were all keepers, not a throwaway in the bunch!

We thank the mothers for being willing to carry their babies to term and the fathers, who support their wives until death parts them. Blessings.

Posted on June 29, 2012 at 1:56pmI’m hoping this opens the door for OB/GYN’s to delve deeper into the process of labor and delivery– part of the beginning of new life that doesn’t really get a lot of research or scrutiny. In fact, the way most hospitals have women deliver babies– laying down in a bed– places a lot more pressure on the spine and pelvis, and can actually create more complications.

This takes away the fantasy shield and lets you see reality. That is what is bothering you….and if you are getting some kind of a perverted “turn on” by seeing this child, then you are truly sick. They don’t come out dressed. Wow. I bet that was a real surprise for you, wasn’t it. Also, I bet you would be able to pick this baby out of a line up to identify as the one you saw in the MRI. Now the baby is at risk as is a child from a pervert. You are one sick dude.

C-sections are on the rise, but women are made to deliver babies naturally. I hope that more videos can be made of the birthing process. They could only make the case for unborn babies being alive stronger.

Recovery time is next to nill with ******* delivery and by far lower in complications. Until you‘ve experienced both you really don’t have an idea the diffrences compare between the two.

Some of the pictures of starving children in third world countries are taken in front of plant life that was created by our designer. Yet they are not seen as food. He gave us all we need to survive, including an incredible immune system. Science. Confirm it with more research. Ultimately, our souls are more important than our bodies. Starvation is not a problem of resources but rather distribution and theft and greed all of which are the evil of men. God deserves no blame. Much of the food delivered to places in need are taken by thugs who then sell it for profit. Check it out SCIENCE and you might learn something. This “blame everything on God that goes wrong” is really getting pretty old in the end you like a bitter person with an axe to grind rather than anything objective. Remeber the fools folly brings his own life to ruin, but his heart rages aginst God. Place the blame where it belongs….on mankind….
