DC Caller: Labor leaders, liberal religious leaders and the NAACP will hold a rally on the National Mall on October 2, one month before the fall midterm elections, in an attempt to show they too have political clout and momentum in response to last Saturday’s massive gathering of Tea Party types led by Fox News host Glenn Beck

    I’m sorry but the unions are as bad as the president. It‘s not the taxpayers fault they didn’t manage pension funds correctly. Self accountability is how I have grown up. The true entrepreneur is American and the American spirit. UNIONS ARE A SOCIALIST IDEA.

    Last year Organizing for America (0bama’s private “army” within the DNC) planned and organized for months a counter demonstration that took place on 9-13 in DC. After months of planning, and barrages of emails to the millions of people on its email list, only about 150 people showed up. That is why they brought in the unions this time, at least they can bus in some people. I don’t expect much of a showing, but the media will give it a lot of hype.

    These people could NOT get that many people together UNLESS they pay Hollyweirdos to draw the SUCKERS in! That is the ONLY way that THEY can attract people – that and giving away free cigarettes, etc. and PAYING them. Then again, some of these Hollyweirdos are so leftist that they just might do it for free — but, bet me, these kooks can’t do it without offering some freebie giveaway!

    Oh we knew that was coming! Obama, got on the phone and made some calls to Hollywood. They will bring out the, free bus pass, free food, free booze, and a few tattoos. Hollywood will bring out the Liberals. They will go all out to fill the mall..They will spend thousands upon thousands of dollars, they will have a light show with lazier beams flying pigs…so on and so.

    Look for the UNION label…and don’t buy it…Leave it on the shelf. I will not buy an American made automobile until the unions are at least tamed down.

    I do not understand why a man would hand part of his pay to a Union boss to spend it on political drivel that he does not agree with. I never needed a job that bad. Why can’t men do like they should…work hard, make it whwere your boss can’t afford to lose you and then you have power to negotiate your own pay increase yourself? Makes perfect sense, unless you are LAZY.

      Last time I checked all the tree hugging liberals were driving around in Priuses and Hybrid Civics…BOTH foreign cars. But yet, they will scream at us if we say that we are running away from American cars. I respect Ford Motors for not taking any bailouts, but they make a stinky product. I will never buy a GM automobile again. And I have been patriotic in the past; we have 2 GMC trucks and a Saturn sitting in our driveway. NO MORE!!!!

      I can hardly remember to brush my teeth in the morning if I do not have it part of a routine followed every day. My old timex can’t be set to sound the alarm for 1 day a week but it can be set to alarm at 4:00 PM every day. So, to make it a part of a routine and accomodate my old timex, I will set it for 4:00 PM EDST and pray for our country every day.

    They miss the point completely. It is not about numbers. It is about “prayer”. They are making it about power. As Glenn said, it is about us making sure we are on God’s side! Saturday was a moment when 500,000 plus people of faith came together to pray for our country…to turn back to God. If progressives want to gather to pray for our nation… that is a good thing….but they need to remember…there really is a God. Saturday was not about speeches….

      Took them four days to find a come back to slam Beck. Held or Beheld, that is the question. You should see the MSNBC hosts grinning from ear to ear as they report this. Finally they have something to report other than how clean DC was after everyone left. Actually it was sad that DC is not able to attract these kinds of people to stay there and clean up Congress as well.

      Actually they will pay people as they did on 8/28 for the Sharpton Rally, we saw the buses of paid attendees first hand at our hotel of $350 a night per room on Capital Hill. Teamsters came in several buses and they even told us their way was paid in full, travel, hotel, and meals!!!! Paid for by the Congressional Black Caucus=tax payer $$$$$

    I find it quite interesting how one “pasty white fat man,” can intimidate such large orgnanizations that its sends them in such a frenzy that they want to have a dink measuring contest. But then again if the Unions, liberal religious leaders, and the NAACP weren’t so corrupt. The 500,000+ crowd that showed up, (because they believed in “Restoring Honor,”), would not have bothered them.

      Unions are what has all but distroyed manafacturing in this country. Growing up in New England, I watched factory after factory close down in town after town. It was an ugly sight. Most of the towns have never recovered.

      Unions were needed YEARS ago when there were sweatshops. They are no longer needed. It would drive me nuts if I was doing an awesome job at work and the person sitting next to me was doing a “so-so” job and we both got the same pay increase. Unions stiffle excellence. Unions have also caused TONS of job to go overseas, because of their unreasonable demands. Right now, I consider myself luck to be employed and when I am told there is no money for raises, I’m okay with that. I still work hard for my company knowing that when the economy improves, the rewards will be flowing again.

      I am a union Iron Worker. I apologize for that, and it’s something with which I struggle on an almost daily basis, but it was a choice that I made solely to ensure that my family would be able to have a fairly steady source of income and health insurance. Unfortunately, I have been unemployed since May, and will likely be ending my union membership – leaving behind my accrued retirement benefits – because of the scarcity of work; I need to transition to a career where my employment is not dependent upon a collective bargaining agreement…

      Believe me, hordes of union members will show up. They will be flown in, they will be bussed in. Sadly, most will probably even be paid to be there. While there will be a small, though significant minority of union die-hards there to advance their collective (pun intended) agendas, the vast majority won‘t even give a rat’s hind parts about why they are there, as long as there’s beer to drink and a check to collect.

      And the commercial media will be in a frenzy to show just how many more people support the socialist agenda as do the conservative. How sad, how horribly sad, to know the lies and vitriol these people will spew…

      Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. Never.

      I was a long time union member and past president (not with the AFL-CIO or the SEIU) and I am appalled by their tactics. All we EVER fought for was decent pay and a stop to the employers constant abuses, but that was back in the 80‘s and 90’s. It was NOTHING like it is now and these people make me want to PUKE! That video where the SEIU beat the crap out of the black Tea Partier needs to keep being thrown down to show just how violent the unions have become. BAN all union political activities if you have to Congress…. They have shown that they will stop at NOTHING to FORCE what they want to get and I’m quite tired of the unions getting handed everything while the innocent bond holders and investors get it up the whazoo.

      Thank you so much for your post. It was the laugh I needed to get me through the day! As I write this, the tears from laughing profusely are rolling down one side of my face! I read these articles and am utterly amazed at the liberal progressives’ thought processes (or lack thereof). It is actually comical and instead of getting angry that they 1) are wrong 2) call names 3)demonize 4)try to trivialize and 5)marginalize the rally, I realize they have completely missed the point. They are politicizing a rally that was never political. The entire reasoning behind the rally had nothing to do with politics, but they believe if they say it, it makes it so. It went right over their heads. So, in “countering” the opposition, they are preparing for a rally of their own. What’s funny about that is, just like Al Sharpton and his so-called “counter” rally on the 8/28, the purpose is not the same. How can you compete, when the reasons for the two rallies are completely different? The only thing they are competing for here is relevence.

      Amen. What happened to the days (are they really that long ago?) when we, whether or not we were believers, sat or stood silently while another prayed, so as to not interrupt or disrupt? People who didn‘t want to say the Pledge of Allegiance were welcome to stay silent and weren’t judged. I am delighted to see prayer returned proudly to the daily life of America.

      I pray to God everyday that he will restore us back to a God fearing nation. I pray that we will all pray again and find God to come into our hearts. God will be there for us ,He always has been. Some of us have just forgotten.

      I wonder why everyone who attended or watched the rally last Saturday HAS to be a Tea Party member? Can’t we just simply be patriotic AMERIANS who love God, Family and Country???

      Friends….I cannot wait until this paid protest happens….WE THE PEOPLE are awake and when the media shows “Obama’s Unions” holding a rally it will backfire. The Country has been educated about entitlements and over paid pensions, and the Unions will be advertising it for ALL to see….Bring it on….The left is in quicksand….And instead of remaining still so they don’t sink, they are wailing their arms and sinking faster….

      I’m praying with you too. I plan to go to Mass tomorrow evening and really participate in it, not just go through the motions. We all need to return to God and then everything else will straighten itself out. As long as we are on God’s side, nothing else really matters. I believe we are in end days. If you get a chance read about “Father Padre Pio and the 3 days of darkness”. Also look up what has been going on in Medjugorje (sp?). Miracles are going to happen in our lifetimes; be ready!!!

      Lord, we pray that we allow You to guide us over the next few months, may we rely on Your wisdom to be set upon our hearts, may we hear Your voice during this difficult time, help us to make the right choices, Lord, for these are important times and we cannot fail our children. Please Lord, grant us the ability to love one another, as You love us. May we retain a humble and merciful heart, knowing it is Your plan for our destiny. Thank you Lord. Amen.

      If anything, we must hold another rally, but not a D.C. Let’s start advocating our own rallies here in our own cities. This, THIS, is a war. America, we must fight this war to win! Support your own rallies, better yet start them! Get people together, Mr. Beck can only do so much. Let us do this.. for freedom.

      I am with you because I believe that prayer is the one thing that can bring us together and make us stronger. I remember when we had prayer in the schools and it was expected before classes began, along with the pledge of allegiance. I was the class chaplain in high school and I looked forward every morning to reading a passage of scripture, leading in the pledge of allegiance and the Lord’s Prayer. It seemed to make the days go so well. Anyone who didn’t want to participate, didn’t have to; they could just sit silently while others who wanted to, did so. Why can’t it be like that again.
      I pray every day for strength and help for myself, my family, friends, neighbors and I pray for our country that it will grow stronger and better. I love this country and I will always pray for her; we all need to pray for her. Thank you for the invitation, I hope everyone who posts on here will join us.

      The majority of American people dont blame the union working stiff for the corrupt policies of the union leadership. I must encourage the union workers not to participate , in these Anti American activities , if you dont agree with them.. Union workers are not sheep , and need not follow corrupt leadership. I think the Democrat and Presidents approval pole numbers , reflect that very many union workers dont approve of their leaderships support of this administration.
