‘We Are at a Crossroads’: Beck Marks Anniversary of The 9/12 Project

On Monday’s episode of The Glenn Beck Program, Glenn marked the three year anniversary of the 9/12 Project, a volunteer based, non-partisan movement focused on rebuilding and uniting communities to restore them to the place they were directly after September 11. That is to say, people were united under a common goal, irrespective of their political affiliation, race or creed. From the 9/12 site:

The day after America was attacked we were not obsessed with political parties, the color of your skin, or what religion you practiced. We were united as Americans, standing together to protect the greatest nation ever created. Our goal is to bring us back to that same feeling of togetherness again.

Below, Glenn reviews the origins of the 9/12 Project and the media’s penchant for mocking the genuine effort and passion to preserve history:

The day was commemorated by discussing the roots of the 9/12 Project and celebrating its accomplishments over the last three years.

    As I read these posts I am saddened by the fact that many here do not understand why average people from across these United States would come together because they have true concerns over where our country is headed.

    It is not a matter of “following” anyone. We truly are Americans who believe that the strength of our country lays in the “individual”, not the collective. The 9/12 Project is entirely made up of volunteers who have given their time, talent and money in order to say every person’s God given right to freedom,

    The comments here show that we have a lot of work to do, as many seem to have no idea of who we are. Something that comes naturally to 9/12ers seems to be lost on those commenting negatively here.

    At one time Beck was a very useful source for We The People. But since leaving Fox News for GBTV, Glenn Beck has gone BATTY. Like a a crazy rabid-Bat. Dumping on Andrew Jackson shows he ahs an agenda. Andrew Jackson is right up there with our other Founding Fathers. I sure would like to have a conversation with Beck about Andrew Jackson, the only President in our history to have ZERO DEBT.

    I was truly inspired by the interviews. It is so great to know that I am not alone and that other people of courage are willing to sacrifice their “lives, our fortunes, our sacred honor”. Even in Texas we have our work cut out for us.

    What in the world are we to do!! The American people it seem’s,(not all mind you)are seeing this country fail.They are watching what use to be a great and charitable nation.our boarder’s are not safe,our money is losing value.Our probuct’s are no longer considerd the best.Our belief in God is waining.Our money is now used in unscrupules way’s around the world.Our Charity is no longer from the heart but instead is used for accounting reson’s.I mean if a homeless person ask‘s for money but the money may used for drug’s so instead of cash you’ll buy them food. But now if you give them food instead you’ll be fined $2000.00.Many here are out of work.With no end in sight,not because there are no job’s but to many are taken by people here illegaly snatch them up.We have social discourse but instead of fixing thing’s at home we use our blood and treasure abroad in places we are not wanted.To say GOD BLESS AMERICA is illegal because you can’t tell anyone you believe in God in public.The ethic’s in this country are in Sodum and Gamora stage.It will not be long before instead of saying THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA we will use THE AMERICAN STATES.One must be rich to get sick.And the only shure way to make money is by playing the lottery or visiting casinos.If you have a child and don‘t like what you got ABORT and don’t worry that’s one medical bill the government will be happpy to pay for you.Instead of an edgucation one get’s social reagustment.What will hapen when chri

    Glenn started the awareness to Wake People up in this country! So Glad he did. We are definitely at a Crossroads and maybe a point of no return. The DOJ has blocked proper Voter Integrity Laws in the states, which will affect specifically the border states. This is how this administration will disinfranchise legal, tax paying, registered voters from putting the Government they want in place. By allowing illegals to vote with IDS it will sway the elections to the Left, so they can remain in control of our lives, thats why we have seen all the re-distribution of wealth.

    I’ve been to two 9/12 meetings. Both times they started out well, but by the end it just ended up being a bunch of people talking about how they think Obama is a Muslim and that he wasn’t born here, and it just went on from there. I thought it was all pretty ignorant and shocking.

    I’m sometimes a night person (when I can’t sleep), but more and more I’m noticing that many of the postings that occur between 12:00 AM and 4:00 AM are very left or right wing postings. It seems that those who learned from Glenn in the beginning have now moved to the absurd!

    Tea Partiers and 9-12ers and those of us who are NOT “joiners” are all on the same side. We need to pull together or complement each not, not bicker between ourselves. There is a place for Patriots, there is a place for Doers and Defenders, and there is a place for “behind the scenes” educators, prayers, steadfast quiet supports.

    Get it together you guys and realize the purpose and goal of our push, who/what is the real “enemy” and move toward the next goal in the long race.

      Actually, by definition you most definitely are a “joiner.” You joined the clubs (tea party, 9/12). Can you not see that? My goodness. That’s about as silly as saying you hate “the media” when you listen to some of the biggest names in media…like Beck, presumably…and quite possibly Limbaugh or Hannity etc etc. Look in the mirror, “joiner.”

    Oh nnelG…how I miss the old you. You know, the one who used to stand for the Bill of Rights and who defended the ideas of the founders? Seems you have lost your way my old friend and are now part of the problem rather than the solution. Why did you let the Bill of Rights trashing RINOS take over the TEA party without so much as a hardly a wimper?

    Why are you not at the forefront of the fight against the likes of the NDAA that allows OBAMA to arrest you with no formal charges, witnesses, right to a jury, and no release date? nnelG…what happened to you?

    How can you expect anyone in their right mind to vote for those who seek to destroy the Bill of Rights while trashing the only good man left in the race who is still fighting to save the BoR and the Republic?

    It would seem that you have been mislead by a false sense of duty to a ill conceived religious notion that is not founded in reality, and have thus sold your soul.

    Crossroads? More like we have gone off the cliff but just haven’t impacted into the ground yet. I for one will not vote for Romney. Time and again he is on record admitting he is a progressive. But now he is a Conservative, you are so full of B.S. Now we have the Bush’s saying they want Romney as the nomination, that endorsement alone screams at me NO ROMNEY! I don’t really care for the flip flopper Santorum but will vote for him over Obama. As for Gingrich he just needs to shut up and go back to what he does best, cheating on his wife. If Romney is the nominee I will write in Ron Paul’s name. For all you people saying then I am supporting Obama, screw you, I will stand for the only man defending the Constitution and Bill of Rights, you know those dusty old pieces of paper that so many people think is outdated including Romney.     All of Glenn Becks talk about putting principle over party rings hollow with his recent decision to stab Rick Santorum in the back.
    One thing that Beck was right about… he threatened to vote Third Party if Newt was the nominee. Since Mitt is demonstrably more liberal than Newt (in fact Mitt Romney has the most liberal record of any politician in the Republican Party), I will certainly be looking for a Third Party candidate if Mitt RomneyCare is the nominee.

      I strongly doubt that Glenn ever was pro-Santorum!
      Glenn’s been pro-Romney all along!
      Glenn merely wanted to appear to switch from Santorum to Romney as an attempt to get Santorum supporters to get in line and follow him to Romney!

      The Romney camp is becoming desperate because Romney’s reaching the end of his same block of supporters who have tried to carry him all along!
      Notice the Bullying from various Pulpits in the Romney Camp to recognize Romney as the candidate!
      That’s merely Romney attempting to end the contest before he runs out of supporters!
      Romney’s coming to the end of his journey, while Newt and Santorum are just getting warmed up!

    The only way Romney would I ever get my vote is if Rand Paul is his VP and Ron Paul is his secretary of treasury. If that doesn’t happen I will write in Ron Paul. The UN take over has to stop. We have the blueprint to freedom.we just have to.support it. Romney, obama, santorum or newt will never support it, if the Gop.doesn’t get with it they will join the dinosaurs.

      Indeed, I think that by summer at the latest Obama and cronies will make their ‘go for broke’ move to take over the Republic completely from top to bottom. The question then becomes will it be a full dictatorship he declares with him at the head, or will those who love the Republic and freedom be able to stop him.

      Yes, where is the Glenn Beck from three years ago? The one that put the United States above all other countries. Today’s Glenn Beck supported a guy that goes against almost everything Glenn talked about for years on Fox and CNN prior.

      Raised debt ceiling 5 times.
      Patriot Act
      Say he doesnt believe in individual freedoms without government control.
      Supported gun control laws.
      Budget doesnt cut any real spending, only future increases.

      Now Glenn says we need to get behind Mitt? This is not the Glenn Beck of 3 years ago.
